Wow, a great array of original GT40s, 2nd and 3rd gen race cars! And a beautiful lady race car driver to finish first. Thanks a mil for sharing this amazing video!
Wow I'm amazed that I'm only the sixteenth person to post a comment. it goes to show that there's still some of us. that think this is the most incredible car ever made and that it's a legend amoung legends. I have to say that I have to remember Carroll Shelby when I think about this car. what a winner he had with this car? it is truly an AWESOME car and one of my all time favorites. the only sad thing is I will never get to experience what driving one of these fantastic car's is like.
Wonderful!, what I wouldn't give to own or even drive a Gt40!. Great to see Jacky, my all time racing idol, and he looks fantastic!, and of course Vanina always looks fantastic!. Lovely video, many thanks. Gérard lacey in Ireland. X.
The race cars of the late 60's (Ford, Ferrari, Porsche, Chaparral, Lola) are the most beautiful and sexy race cars ever built. Today's F1 and Le Mans racers look like something out of a bad Transformers movie.
The Ford GT40. The most recognized and iconic car is the history of road racing. There are many other great cars. But everyone knows a GT40 when they see one.
They are pretty. Jacky Ickx is a rare surviving Maestro. Watch him climbing out of the big girl in '69 and you know whats kinky on here. The thundering days of Aranjuez are over. Keep them with dignity.
Remember watching the GT40s, Lolas, Chaparrals and 917s racing in the Can-Am series back in the late 60s early 70s at SIR. Back then you could buy a GT40 for about 36k according to one of the drivers. Seems they went up on price since then. 😉
I remember the local Ford dealer had one on display, i think it was about 1967-1968, I was about eleven, my mom made me mow the lawn, wash her car, then she took me down to the dealer to see it, probably the only time I ever saw a original gt-40, I wish I would have bought a new one when they built the 2005ish models, I don't care that much for the V-6 models, and that is just too much $$$ for a car
FYI MOST if not ALL the cars in your video are NOT GT40s They are FORD GTs built in the 2000s NOT in the 1960s They are Magnificent cars BUT NOT like the Originals : )
beg to differ with you but there were numerous original GT40s in the video. None of the 2005 and on Ford GTs have the small square side windows and the side air scoop is not part of the rear quarter cowl on the ford GT. Careful review of the video showed more GT40s than later Gen GTs. While there were 2005s and 2017s shown, there were multiple Mk-I Mk-II and Mk-IVs shown.
Estupendo homenaje, pero es una pena que se ignore por completo que ese auto ganó dos años seguidos Le Mans, en 1968 conducido por Lucien Bianchi y Pedro Rodriguez , a quienes no se los menciona en ningún momento....
t's time for an electric GT 40. HahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahHahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahHahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahHahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahHahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahHahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahHahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahHahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahHahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahHahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahHahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahHahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahHahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahHahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahHahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah. Im speechless, wonderful meeting, long life for Jacky Icks and for all of you ! God bless all of us.

I suddenly realized my age when I saw Jacky letting his daughter drive...
Vanina just walking instead of running across the track at the start, does that ring a bell? ;-)
WoW!!! It would be incredible to be there let alone drive the Legend of Lemans.
Great video but sure would like to hear the "organic" car engine music over the music dubbed in. Thanks.

Jacky Ickx!!! The Leyend of Motorsport

And to think that Jacky Ickx was racing competitively in Formula 1 in that same year . . . a remarkable era for auto racing!

FORD GT 40, the legend of my youngness, with Jacky Yckx. 🤩

Heaven on earth
Me la ricordo bene questa auto alla guida jackie icx a imola sotto il diluvio ..era settembre avevo 14 anni..la mia prima corsa dal vivo
Sorry,Im too busy drooling.....
I would have loved to have been there, to bad it rained.
Wish they did this in the USA
In 1989 there was a GT40 reunion at Watkins Glen. Also in 2009 at Road America
And Vanina Ickx is there too...
And so seductive. 😍

Shame about the rain, but in the 24 Hour LeMans you'll get anything.

Why the music drowning out the engines in the foreground…
Also, the score didn’t match the occasion .
Because it's not a cheap corvette!
That is not #1075. It is a replica. 1075 is a RH drive car.
