The hardware is definitely cheaper than it use to be! They use to say it was brass hardware now it's golden metallic hardware personally I don't know why they don't just change it all to silver and be done with it rather than putting cheap hardware on 😟😟🙈
just stumbled onto this video and I'm dying at the reaction to smelling the bag and how it still smells new I agree the smell stays with the DE bags mine isn't as old as yours but she is a few months old and she still smells great and she is the one I've used the most lol such a classic bag
I still don't like the bandouliere I keep watching videos to see if it convinces me but I just don't think the speedy looks right as a crossbody or shoulder bag. It's classic as a hand bag to me lol
I've had this bag for about 6 months and love it. I always have the strap extender on it, but you've inspired me to try it without it and keep it inside the bag just in case. I'm several inches taller than you so we'll see how it looks on me. Great video!

they won't take the bag back for chipped Hardware. I sold mine because of the mismatched Hardware. I love Louis Vuitton but they do have some quality issues unfortunately.

Quality is definitely poorer nowadays. I have a vintage Saleya I purchased in 2008 & the gold hardware is still going strong.

Great update. My delightful clip chipped too! They fix it free but mine came back with the leather destroyed! They gave me a new bag. I'd request them to replace just the hardware and express how you do not want a new bag

Really disappointed in my speedy b 25 as well. Purchased mine a year ago and have only used it a few times, other than that it has been in a dust bag in the closet, yet the hardware is all chipped. I used a cloth to try and get any tarnish off because I wouldn’t mind if it was just tarnished and I could get it off, but nope it’s all chipped! The quality of the hardware is so cheap. I have bags that are a third of the price and the hardware holds up better than this. For the price you pay id expect it to last longer :/ for that reason I would never buy another Louis Vuitton bag again. It’s just not worth it if in a year it’s going to look like a chipped mess.
Can you please tell us how often you carry this bag, also what incline weather you carry it in? I think it would make a difference with the wear and tear with the gold tone hardware that you are experiencing. Thank you!

Hey Debbie! The monogram canvas definitely gets softer faster in my opinion. Also the leather on the monogram will get SO much softer and more flexible than the ebene. My ebene has softened but it still doesn't look as soft and delicious as some other monogram speedy's I've seen out there.
I have the same problem. I got rid of my speedy B 30 and get the 25 😂. And yeah but there is always the same problem with the hardware. It started just after 2 weeks after buying it and I worn it only for 2-3 times only. I went to the store and the staff cleaned it up for me. I thought, the problem was solved but actually it comes back again and again😔😑. The hardware is totally a headache.
How have you found your straps and other parts ageing? I have only had my speedy DE for 3 weeks and I'm already noticing my straps have wrinkles appearing and I've somehow managed to get the tiniest of scratches on one of the handles already.

Hi is the bag now or the canvass very soft.I went to LV store to check how big a size 25 in actual.The bag they showed me i presumed it was used as a sample for the people who wants to see and check a 25 size DE but the bag was just so soft.I wonder if the bag is new its firm and eventually softens in time.?thanks
maggs mum I think LV changed their canvass and it really is kinda soft and thin. Just got mine last month in this size and print. I’m actually worried of the quality of their bags now but the SA assured me that it still is good as the old ones. So, I’ll see.. if that’s true. :)

SL K I am 5'1 too but because I am on the large size 25 looks tad small for my body frame. Besides the height, the body frame also determine the bag size.

Hi Peter! It's definitely still pretty stiff compared to how the leather on my monogram pieces has softened over time
