Carolin is like a little kid in a "grownup's" body. She continues to approach Vinny with her birds when it's super-obvious that Vinny wanted nothing to do with any of them. My family had a Red-masked parakeet growing up who would climb down his cage and charge at anyone who got too close to my sister. I miss that bird, even though he hated my guts.

I'm still in contact with Blue's owners, it's been a long process for them but at least they know Blue is safe with us!!

Engage not cage can be difficult and kinda dangerous. I watch them so close and I have trouble. Your birds are beautiful and I know as a bird mom you'd be just as devastated if something happened to one of them. HUGGS...

I'm so sorry about the fires and I hope the fires don't effect you all. Lol, jealous parrots no doubt. I have an African Grey (Kira) also plus: Dog (Pebbles, beagle mix), Teyla (Ball Python), Slinky (Blue Tongue Skink), Spike (Yellow, Nigerian Uromastyx), and Nessie ( Bearded Dragon). I love them all and I love animals! Carolyn's parrots are stunning!

Oh no! Please stay safe! Your babies are awesome! Please watch your weather for wind shifts! Winds are high and can push fire at fast rates of speed. Embers can be pushed at least a half miles ahead of fires causing "spot" fires! Fires can make their own weather making them very unpredictable!
You're totally right about that!! This fire didn't get close enough thankfully but we're always on the lookout. Our firefighters are the absolute BEST!!! I'm so grateful to them ❤️

worried. They sounded like they felt really threatened by the h mcaws. poor vinny sounded so scared. even tho u were supervising it looked dangerous to have such large birds so close to the smaller ones. there were a lot of scard bird calls in this one.
