I agree Guns was cool back in the day but I never really knew much about him or how really good he was so yeah this should be a longer interview..that song Malaria is epic. First heard that back in early 1990 off Cocked and Loaded friend's cassette style. One of the first CDs i bought back then was their first album LA Guns self titled. So many awesome riffs and cool song stories from those 2 albums. Hollywood Vampires, not bad, a bit patchy but still all cool, Over The Edge very cool song.

I love that Tracii has a silver stripe USA Peavey combo in his room!
Previous to viewing this video I did not know that Tracii used solid state amps on the first album. Though he explains the tone in terms of rhythm, I hear it most in some of the leads, where there is a flatness, hard clipping, and almost 8 bit texture present. By way of contrast, tube amps tend to be spongier and warmer, with more sag. Though some might call me a tube snob, I also have a fetish for vintage (60s-80s) solid state amps. I can't imagine the first L.A. Gunns album with, for instance, the tube amp tone of Slash. This solid state guitar tone is inseparable from that record.

80's Randall Amps: cheap and dirty. One of the cheapest and well-built amps you can get used. They got the new Tube-amps (Ignater) for the tubers also. Randall solid-state used your are looking at $1 a Watt --> doesn't get much cheaper than that.
80's Randall: Cheap and Dirty, but never sleazy. A great starter amp.

Who thinks this guy should return to Guns N' Roses? Well, it's just much of the classic lineup is getting back together and because Tracii is no longer with L.A. Guns since 2012 and he helped form and provide G N' R with its name (Axl was the one who coined the name, though, by combining his and Tracii's names), he could serve as third guitarist between Izzy Stradlin and Slash (who replaced Tracii originally), make it be sort of like the current line-up of Iron Maiden. Also, it would help Guns N' Roses now live up to their name.

      Rodney Rhodes
Even though he did help set the band on the path to and develop their signature sound just before he left and Slash replaced him, like what Dave Mustaine did for Metallica before he was kicked out and replaced by Kirk Hammett. I also thought his solo on L.A. Guns' signature song "The Ballad Of Jayne" reminded me of Slash's sound and style.

DW'89Music sounds interesting what they should've did was say there's gonna be a reunion but bring back tracii, Rob Gardner, but since Ole Biech is dead they could bring back Duff or keep Tony Stinson and say their the reunion and the people would probably get all mad and say this isn't gnr wonder how people know who the members of the original not the classic line up of gnr are

Either that comment or "This guy sucks, I've been playing guitar for just over 24 hours and can play this song with just my pinky, and it's been amputated! Most people think I've been playing much longer, like I was a guitar player in another life before this one." Why? Because there's always at least one person per guitar instruction video that makes comments like these.
