The outcome of this dance battle really depends on individual preference. The Dolls display a polished, sensual, and feminine style, while Motion embodies a hard, sexy, and aggressive vibe. It's reminiscent of watching an AKA battle a Delta (no shade), 😅. Dancing to the Ne-Yo tune, the Dolls demonstrated their ability to be aggressive when need be but ultimately, they stay true to their sensual and feminine style-which I appreciate! Also, they are FINALLY learning to showcase what the Dolls are known for in the stands: dancing atogether! IThe Dolls excelled in this battle by staying true to their style while keeping it interesting. ❤️🇺🇸
Something to me about the Dolls, they look so well put together. The look, the dancing. It’s suttle and different they dancing their behinds off. The band really holding them back with the music but still dancing. Keep it up
This is my main problem with Southern, and I think Ayo Dez pointed this out as well, the band and the Dolls perform like they’re two separate entities (which in essence they are) but the band hardly, if ever, back the Dolls up, let anyone hype them up. It often comes across as if Jukebox doesn’t appreciate them as opposed to other bands (S.O.D. with GGs and SBOTS with J-Settes for example.) who complement each other.

No one can deny that when you hear someone is going to battle Motion you automatically know that they are going to be extremely clean, dance cohesively and deliver each count consistently. The motion hate discredit is wild . I love the dolls I’m glad they came prepared finally and didn’t get railroaded in the stands . But there is no way that they were better than motion . The dolls had timing issues and was missing counts come on now 🤨
Thanks for the video, Morgan. Both teams do a great job representing their team’s style. As far as the “scoring “ of each round I agreed with Morgan until the round in which Motion did their stand routine. I thought it was creative and really enjoyed the flashes so my point went to Motion there. And since the battery died during Motions last song I didn’t score that round. With that in mind, my score was Dolls 3- Motion 4. However, I was entertained more by the Dolls. I actually expected more from Motion after last year’s battle against the Dolls and was only expecting the Dolls to give what they normally give. With that in mind, I would actually give this “battle” to the Dolls. But it wasn’t a dragging by any stretch of the imagination. I also feel the music held both teams back. It can be a challenge to show out to these slow and mid tempo songs.

The dolls style is one that is a representation of class, elegance, opulence, & technique. Outside of the J-settes the dolls made EVERY OTHER TEAM step their 🐱up with uniforms, fields, pink gloves/uniforms, stand routines, reveal vids, etc. They are (to me) the HBCU standard & that’s they have been places first that other girls are just going to. They’ve been getting opportunities, sponsorships, etc. way before the other girls. Secondly, everyone besides the j-settes & maybe the GGs have stolen or tweaked their style as their own. Let’s give credit where it’s earned. History is history! Right now today we can witness the divas cosplay as dolls down to the gloves and uniforms. So let’s BFFR here. Also it comes down to taste. Most of you find the dolls boring because many of you don’t identify with the classy and mysterious woman. Yall mostly identify with the coochie popping ghetto trick that’s from the projects and that’s ok. So you’ll never like the dolls and you’d rather the teams that dance like flea bitten strippers. Love the dolls DOWN 🙌🏾 (Big 3 Always), but do they ever do all together anymore (not routine)? I know you gotta know your team’s strengths and weaknesses, BUT i think that is what sets Motion a side from a lot of teams. That all together even with a football team full of girls 😮💨.
I was ready for this battle but it was just ok. I know the band is going to play what showcases the band, & not necessary something the girls can dance to bc some of the counts didn't go with the songs. Juke could have played a church song in place of bended knee bc it was a snooze fest 😂

Everything about Motion screams Dani she just has this signature style that is carried over everywhere she leads a team. No shade but you know a Dani lead team! The dolls did what dolls do. The musical selections by both bands were mid and I still haven’t heard Southern’s song of the year yet. Maybe we’ll get something at homecoming 🤞🏾

This was the Dolls best performance of the season for me. They did use a lot of stand routines but I liked all of them. I think they take this one by a hair over Motion.
Musicality lacks with the Dolls. Starting with the first stand. It’s like they are dancing to the music in their heads. (The video shows it, you also mentioned it). I applaud them on working to be creative but it’s still a work in progress. Great captain with Beautiful gowns.

Musicality lacks with the Dolls. Starting with the first stand. It’s like they are dancing to the music in their heads. (The video shows it, you also mentioned it). I applaud them on working to be creative but it’s still a work in progress.
