Problems with recording and exhaust as well. He just need a little tune and new resonator. Happened something like that to me a while ago, I have video on my channel with Cayenne exhaust
this engine has a cross-bank exhaust manifold to replicate the firing order of a flat plane crank v8 which is basically two 4 cylinders joined together at the crank

the x5 m has a normal 6 speed automatic
