For those of ou looking to buy an used m550i, i bought mine 6 years ago, has 170k km and it still runs smooth, only changed spark plugs and alternator, other than that just basic maintanance good car
The demographic is spot on. Being "sporty"..yet understated, is exactly why I find it appealing. I want the big power, bur not the harsh ride and fanfare. Above average power, and luxury. Perfect. I'd love to see a 7, done exactly the same way.

This was a phenomenal review of the M550!! I loved the POV view while driving on the autobahn! This is the exact car (with the same specs and color) that I just purchased here in California on June 4th, 2018. I have the same Carbon Black Metallic exterior but with the Black leather interior. Unfortunately, we do not have the autobahn here and I have not found the time and place to open my car up to see what it can really do. I am quite jealous of those of you who can truly experience their cars to their full potential. I would be pulled over by the police and have my car impounded if I was speeding past 130mph (209kph).
This one makes the same in reality on a dyno, they just understated the power big time. I have it and i had an x6m previously ( e71 model) but i did an acceleration run 100-200 and found the new one on RUclips and compared and it’s literally the exact exact same thing same intervals of numbers in jumps
Im gonna buy this car as a replacement for my m235 n55 The m550i just needa an intercooler, 200cell downpipes and a tune and ur good for 550hp+ on mild setup
it's my daily drive car, but after 435i with mhd 1+ it feels boring to me, there's no childish enthusiasm as in 4 or 3rd series. It's more serious and calm
the sound inside the car is that a generated sound , or could it be a mic under the hood that play's the sound over the speakers ? ( that would be the best thing :D )
462 hp feels a little bit underpowered? I mean it’s got a 4,4 l V8, why not at least give it 500-530 hp? I mean the M5 has 600 and there is no model in between, so it could really do with more power!
@@lambokiller99 and this is we we are talking about the n63 tu2 gen of cars which received lots of modifications on the 460hp models. And most ppl have no clues about driving turboed cars... if ur dumb enough to change your "LL" oil all 30k Km and push the car cold... make lots of cold starts and short drives its the customers fault... i worked for ducati, husqvarna and TM Racing and ppl also alwaya bitched on the web about quality issues... it depends on the customers usage. My f22 m235 is oushing 380whp and 600Nm with stage 2+ currently with 130k KM on oem clutch and just needed regular maitenance but i do oil all 10K KM and sparks all 30K with coils...and the poor car gets harshly driven. At the end u want a proper oem car from somebody which has a sensitive ass and takes care of it is my experience
thats the problem in germany with german cars. we have a lot of cars who can drive alot faster then 250 and we have the autobahn where u can go as fast as u want. german car companies have all a limit of 250 cuz the think that the people would go way to fast all the time on the autobahn. but well for about 1,400 euros u can turn off the limit. i think if u can buy a car like this u can afford that ^^
Filip Grujic you can use any GPS speedometer. They are all the same and work all the same. I use ulysse speedometer it's free and u get a accurate 0-100 time calculation.

Bmw is notorious for understating their power. Usually what BMW claims to be at the crank is actually to the wheels.
But why do they limit it to 260km/h? Can you remove the limit to go beyond 260km/h?
When you turn in manual mode: is it m1 or s1? Know what I mean?
M1 mean Manual 1 which is when you shift and S1 is Sport 1 which is when the car changes gear but revs it higher than normal Drive mode. :)

Stepping up from 535d F10, is it worth it ? Almost the same amount of torque, 47% more HP, but the price is almost double for a 2 year younger car.
Get a 540i instead. Going to be way more reliable.
