From a 2012 interview : Interviewer : "Matt, they say you are the first guitar genius of the 21st century" Matt : "I'd never use the word "genius"... That's a insult to other guitar players." And that's how humble, modest and sarcastic Matt is ! Glad I bought this guitar !
Doga Kuzey Sen I got my Chapman ML-3 Modern from Rock Planet, Bangkok. But I live in Thailand. Best international source is ANDERTONS.CO.UK or THOMANN.DE
Just tried one of these, normally quite snobby with brands but I was blown away with this. Very solid guitar, neck is beautiful. I'll go out on a limb and say it's on par with my American standard telecaster and strat. Gonna pick this up tomorrow, anybody that's on the fence just try it you won't regret it.
Guys!!! I just picked up mine today, RUclips, online pictures just don't do t justice. In person it's STRIKING!!! You have to see it in person and the sound in person, phenomenal. They defiantly put hard work into this, And for all you complainers(DONT BUY IT!!) jeez,
"Where really happy with this instrument, Matt's very happy with it, at last we have an affordable instrument". Im very happy with it, Matt took a couple of them on his tour, I'm sure we'll see him use it in one of his tours..
Jellin Wellen er yes it is he has one called the matt black that is nearly identical to this and he had in excess of 8 others that he smashed to pieces that were pretty much identical to this as well. Check it on muse wiki for more info :)
Jellin Wellen 1.bp.blogspot.com/-yCKzPk6yIVE/UGx_zTSNsUI/AAAAAAAAMzw/U-v_fCOcPcQ/s1600/matt.olympia.2012.6.jpg Very similar to this one, minus two switches which would work just fine as a pedal instead of in a guitar.
I reckon this has been designed to be modded. The pickups look kinda cheap and nasty so you're pretty much invited to chuck them out and throw something better in. I reckon a sustainer in the neck and a Kent Armstrong MotherBucker in the bridge and you're off to quite a decent start with this and for those who want the Floyd Rose there's always the Stetsbar that'll fit right on that no problem.
spartanworria +enjoyradiosilence you obviously know nothing about guitar manufacturing in the east, fair enough not everyone does, but here is the jist of it. So to start off with you have to talk to Matt about wanting to design a mid ranged guitar, with his massively busy schedule that is hard enough to find any time, he needed to choose which features are the least expensive and most worthwhile etc, designing this with Matt would have taken anywhere from 6 months to a year. Then you make an english prototype, take measurements from it, make a CAD design for it. Now you have what you are going to send to the eastern factory. So you need to get into talks with them about this production run, features etc etc, then book factory time for the first proto. this will likely take around a month to make at least, probably closer to 3, then shipping will be by container ship and depending on the route, again could take another 3 or so months. You finally receive the instrument, realise for instance it needs locking tuners, or it needs the string trees removed. also you start designing the pickups at this point. These pickups can go back and forth dozens of times easily. Also you will now send the initial prototype off to Matt, who is on tour and has next to no free time. then get his thoughts etc etc. 3 years for a signature guitar is not a lot, especially when it is an initial relation between a western and eastern company/factory. It is fairly easy to see how the three years came about when they must have had at least 3 or 4 protos
Mk Jackary So most of the time then is waiting for Matt? and not the actual design ... and why wouldnt you be designing the pickups in parallel? Im an engineer and this is incredibly inefficient, i may not know about far east manufacturing but i know about design. Its no wonder these fly by night companies never last beyond one guy building expensive guitars for one artist (not cort obv, they build stuff for everyone)

looks like a Chapman ML-3 in disguise minus the ebony finger board.
and a fair bit more expensive than the M.I.K. ML-3.
Where did you buy it?
Doga Kuzey Sen I got my Chapman ML-3 Modern from Rock Planet, Bangkok. But I live in Thailand. Best international source is ANDERTONS.CO.UK or THOMANN.DE
You are so lucky to own a CORT guitar!
Just tried one of these, normally quite snobby with brands but I was blown away with this.

Gary Jovanovitch Would you recommend a fender tele or this?

So glad there's a reasonably priced model now
affordable, so now i can buy this and transfer all the FF circuit in my old guitar into this one.. :D
Where? Can you send a link?
Thank you for your concern to public :)
love the color... but from cort, i still love Neil Zaza signature series...
Indonesia 😍
Dian Bloom Mojokerto
How did it take three years to develop a tele with a killswitch? Hardly seems at the fore of innovation (not that I could do any better, though).
No effects in board, no touchscreen, no sustainer, and not the right kind of kill switch. It's just a Cort with the Bellamy body and finish.
That would literally double the price. If you want gimmicks, buy a Manson; If you want a guitar, this fits the bill.
yeah dude, it's pretty much impossible to feature all of those things into an affordable guitar
Jellin Wellen er yes it is he has one called the matt black that is nearly identical to this and he had in excess of 8 others that he smashed to pieces that were pretty much identical to this as well. Check it on muse wiki for more info :)
Jellin Wellen most of his guitars don't have the pad, and it's easy enough to just buy a fuzz face or a sustainer for your pedal board.

I don't mind this. Mod it.
YES YES YES YES YES.

it took 3 years to design that?
yeap I noticed that. Give me a piece of paper and pen, I'll save them a fortune nextime, lol
spartanworria ha!, how could that possibly have taken that long, there is nothing special about that guitar
enjoyradiosilence I absolutely agree. I hope they never decide to try and build an amplifier. It would take 30 years to build a pedal.

☺☺☺☺☺
So it's not God Awfully Hideous as a Manson. It looks like a tele.
Flat finishes are such a bad idea. This trend will be gone very soon, don't get sucked into buying a guitar with a flat finish, you will regret it.
Cort....... Hahahahahahahahhhhhhaaaahahahaha.
Who the fuk is Matt Bellamy?
who the fuck is snake plissken
