I've always liked the looks of Condor knives, but never bought one because I'm not a fan of 1075 steel. It's good to see them using 1095 on more of their newer releases. Had they been using 1095 all along, it's probable that I would own a few by now. As you pointed out, they do have a lot of really good designs.

@@danielmotafaria6300 eah, I confused this one with a comment on one of their new 2021 releases..the one with the red handle. It is 1075..looks like they are going back to all the new releases being in 1075. Damn shame really. Anyways..my bad.
Ive got one of these and love it. But, mine had a sharp edge on the end of the handle that I had to sand a little bit.

Great vid. Its tough to find a good all round knife. After doing heavy knife work in the bush, at the end of the day I also need a knife just long enough and thin enough to cut slices of bread from a loaf, slices of roasted meat, cheese....😆
That's a great looking knife (I love me some Condor with wooden handles and that finish, and I love my Swamp Romper, you're correct it does not have the comtoured handle, but does come with a really nice dangler leather sheath similar to this one, and very light weight for around $50-60), great review, brother! Seems like a nice knife. It looks good. Our definition of budget is different though. Lol. Good stuff.
Mine arrived from SMKW last Friday (the next day after ordering, although I selected the standard shipping.) My spine is sharp enough to throw sparks of a 6"x1/2" Bayite "Feuerstahl" (to quote Ms. Lilly) but I intend to Dremelfy it a bit as well. I water vacuum-formed the sheath with the Foodsaver , and now I dont think it will get loose like my Kephart did. I expect to be well served with this one.
Seems strange to have a sheath that holds a ferro rod but a spine that's poor at striking sparks

I was wondering...there is a brand name BPS knives that is cheaper about $40..scandi grind and has the same setup as that knife..leather sheath, ferro rod holder with ferro rod and about the same size. Someone needs to do a comparison battle!!!

This & the ripper look good but my experience with condor has been terrible. Their grinds & fit & finish have been absolute garbage on the last 3 blades I got from them.
Is that a woodland buffalo next to you?
