I just found your page, and I am gob smacked. I have honestly never encountered anyone, anywhere, who can dissect fragrances with the impossible precision and insight that you bring to the party. It's... truly jaw dropping. If you'll excuse me, I'll go devour the rest of your videos now. But wow, thanks for this. Amazing stuff!
100% !
I'm really glad you like this one! This happens to be one of my favorites as well!
He actually don't like this at all dear Steven! :-)
He says that is very well and clever made and absolutely worth the money but he didn't like it.
Anestis Tartalis he didnt watch the review just fast forwaded it🤣🤣
Gotchaaa😂😂
I guess the people who disliked did that because he said he didn't like it as it's not for his personal taste. Now, that alone tells you exactly what's wrong with the fragrance community. If you say something personal that majority disagree with then you're going to be hated on. People fail to understand that perfumery is a very subjective thing, therefore no one should ever be hateful or disrespectful toward others that don't share the same experience as them.
This is why I no longer participate in fragrance related topics as much as I used to. Unpopular opinions are being deleted, hidden and hated on. Great review, keep it up!
To be honest, this was not a love from first sniff for me. It grew on me slowly. Every time I smell this fragrance, I smell something new.
This is the problem. We are allowed an opinion only if it’s the same as everyone else. As a chemist I am trained to question and form my own thoughts. Then question them. I’m over the tiny % of small minded, Unintelligent anti unicorn frag heads. Let them go else where. This channel welcomes discussion as long as it’s respectful and intelligent.
The one things that makes Aron the best reviewer is that he dares to be honest. That, and his ability to talk about scents beyond naming the notes. Most frag reviewers just talk about 'beastmode', top ten for [insert occasion], and rehashes the same frags over and over again while reading the notes of fragrantica out loud.
@@kariusbaktus165 Most "frag influencers" are doing that so that you buy the products and they get commission for it. Not that they know jack shit about fragrances.
Why is it that many of them keep talking about these 10-20 fragrances all the time? Most likely made some deal to promote them and now they're stuck, or they are getting an insane amount of money for it.
How come someone that has 500+ fragrances never mention any of them... Silly.
"Compliment magnets", "beast modes", "seasonal list", "panty droppers".
On the other hand, we can't compare them to the chemist that Aaron is or expect technical things from them, but they should stop pretending like they know things about fragrances and naively lure people to buy it for them to profit.
Everyone can do that, just read reviews on Fragrantica and spit them out in a video...
@@deyoviC Well said. Paid shills need to be called out on their bullshit.
On the other hand, I'm convinced many of the subscribers are looking for validation which they are getting a lot of and I wonder if it's not the same with the reviewer. The more people who like their picks the better they feel. What better way to accomplish this than by rotating 20 frags and include a gem once in a while.
This, for me, was a love at first sniff. I often smell the atomizer just to get a whiff of it on any given day. Much respect on your thoughts. Everyone has their own nose.
A lady friend asked me how I was doing this morning and without thinking about it I responded “I’m fan-tastic ! How are you?” Her face just lit up and said “that’s so nice to hear.” I’m usually a bit too serious so I had to laugh at myself. It was a nice way to begin a conversation.
Not into dry, floral, middle eastern fragrances so I’ll pass on this one. Great REVIEW!
I. LOVE. THIS. ONE! It quickly became one of my top scents. The hot dryness mixed with spices and a tiny bit of animalic touch is simply stunning for me. My husband found it to be slightly chocolaty and ever since he mentioned it, I can feel it too. It changes depending on how much you spray - if you saturate your skin too much it will stay a bit bitter, herbaceous and medicinal for a long time but if you spray it with a lighter hand you'll experience this subtle sweetness and much more warmth almost right from the start. I really love it a lot. Thanks for another great review, Aaron.
Oh boy I was waiting for this one, and I’m glad you read the story of this fragrance. It makes you appreciate the craft more. It is meant to smell like the air of the Moroccan desert. You should try the other one by the same house Au Coeur du Désert, frag heads rav about that one. And btw this one gets sweeter in the dry down.
meaturama let me rephrase it is meant to smell dry like a dessert, and it kinda does. And what does smelling like a 3rd World country mean ? A country does not have a smell !!!! It is not a house, and that is so shallow.
How is it shallow to be inspired by a smell from a particular region or climate? By this logic, Green Orish tweed is also shallow.
@@Fadel_Abbasi guess all Bond no 9 fragrances are shallow, lol.
This scent grew on me. At the beginning I tested on tester strip and thought it was too dry. Wasn't my jam. But then on skin, it develops beautifully and is quite classy while interesting! It also has very good performance on me. Thank you very much for the review, hope you'll get a chance to do "au coeur du desert" which, I think, you would prefer
I would love to review something from this house that I would love!
I literally got my bottle today. Perfect timing. :) I think it's a masterpiece, but I understand why one wouldn't like it. The dryness makes this one special to me compared to other oriental fragrances that are mostly very sweet, very spicy or very oudy.
Tauer is a master at perfumery. His scents a like no other… 💯🔥
I blind bought it and would absolutely recommend to not do so. It’s an excellent fragrance, might be my top choice just because of the complexity and how it develops on my own skin… but it’s just so specific, both to personal tastes and time/place/occasion. Def worth the price, loved your review, just got a subscriber from it :-)
Respect your opinion, well backed with arguments. The fact that it is dry non-sweet oriental is exactly the reason why I love it so much. Thats how it is with perfumes, beauty is in the nose of beholder:-D
Love that you reviewed this! Can’t be for everyone but I appreciate that you can still provide a balanced opinion and can recognise the quality and the skill behind it. I didn’t really gel with this one when I first smelled it and then 18months later I suddenly fell in love with it, and then I tried ACDD and I was completely floored. I now own both haha 🙈 hope you are keeping well.
This was love at first sniff for me.
10/10 because it is so different from everything else out there.
This fragrance genuinely lives up to the hype. Don’t listen to the critics. It can be worn anytime. Bought as a blind buy and the best fragrance decision I ever made.
I've heard quite a number of people say they absolutely hate this. As ever, fragrance is a personal thing so the hype could be a real let down for many in this case as it is most definitely not mass appealing.
Yes you can blind buy it ! 👌🏽
Why would you recommend blind buying a €100+ fragrance? For most people that would just be very irresponsible to do. Just order a sample to see whether you like it enough to pay 100/150 euros/dollars for it. Just throwing around hundreds of euros on scents you don’t even know is straight up gambling. The fact that you won money at a slot machine doesn’t mean it was a good decision to pull the lever.
@@jopvandam6820some people love the thrill of just sending it. This fragrance was extremely popular for a reason and is a fairly safe blind buy for most fragrance lovers IMO
Agreed can be worn anytime. Because I’m more drawn to dark, deep fragrance types, my collection leans heavily to fall - spring. But this I can wear on hot days
Как же я рад, что изобрели субтитры и я могу наслаждаться просмотром ваших шикарных обзоров❤ Как фонат African Leather надеюсь найти любовь и в этом аромате)
I have this one and even though I don't reach for it often because of my large(and growing)collection,I love wearing it when I do because it's so different.Thank you my friend......on to the next one.
I slept on this fragrance for so long, until I finally snagged a sample with a Luckyscent order recently. Within 2 mins of sampling this I was online ordering a full bottle. This is unique, and balanced and exquisite.
I'd love to see you review this one again 💯 for me it is a 10/10 Amber dominant oriental, thought provoking and emotive master piece 🌟
I was waiting for this review 💯
Hope you loved it🦄
Havent smelled a Tauer yet, but I've heard they are very unique and love or hate and excellent quality. Great Review, even though it's not your cup of tea. Always appreciate your objective honesty and looking at each fragrance's strengths, even when it's not for you.
You do so much better on your own, expressing your own thoughts than as a guest. Nicely done, feels educational, like learning how to taste wine, and I can wait to see more.
I had it on today at work(bought a 1ml sample)....I really like it, solid fragrance...30mins after I started work a lady walked behind me and said that I smell really nice...well that was it ...I ordered the fragrance later that day!
Do you have good compliments from girls ?
Can you give a description of your take on this frag? Which notes do you pick up in the opening, how's the dry down and longevity and projection? C'mon viewers are interested too on your half ass story without and details of the fragrance which made that lady stalker chased you 🤣
I was so frustrated with your review initially... It's a masterpiece!! I yelled, and it's already on its way!! Dear Aaron, you were right about the dryness and the top heaviness. A bit of juiciness would've made it far more wearable for me. It's a desert night in Morocco if one were sleeping beside the coriander and cumin man. Fortunately, the hubs loves it and he smells like lunch when he wears it.
You saved me from buying this fragrance. I was going to buy it next month. Thank you.
The most anticipated review 💙 Aaron feat. Marocain desert!
Another great review! I love how you are unbiased and are all about the art. I hope you are holding up well during this pandemic, sending good energy your way! 💫
I’m really good! Little break before the relaunch
One of my all time favorites this is a must have, it’s simply excellent
Thank you, Aaron, for this great review. You are my most favorite reviewer. If a perfume is not approved by you, no buy for me. I did not like this particular perfume and did not understand why there is such hype. You now totally confirmed my impressions. Thank you, as always!
I love this one; one of my favourites , I’ll get a full bottle soon.
Great great review. I do love the fragrance, but I totally understand your point of view. Anyway you should try the next one Tauer made, “Au coeur du desert” , I think is better and one of my top 3 of all time . Thanks for your channel, don’t give up, is fantastic and educational.
I’ve worn this in the high desert evenings and it’s amazing - compliments galore ❤
I've been waiting for this review for a long time!! I've been dying to know what you think of it...I'm a little sad you don't like it though 😔 I understand though it takes a very specific type of nose to enjoy this! Thanks for the review as always
This is one of my favs! Glad you reviewed it!
Aaron as always an high quality review.
You should try and review some Orto Parisi fragrances , from Gualtieri the same nose behind Nasomatto. Knowing your taste i would suggest Boccanera, Stercus, Seminalis or Terroni.
I've tried this one several times and I always end up washing it off. It reminds me of the inside of an old Lincoln Town Car. Dry, worn leather, old cigarette butts in the ashtray, and something sweet. I still want to try more from the house. I am curious about his rose fragrances. I've read Au Coeur du Désert is nicer than LDDM.
I sprayed my bottle to see if i can pick put the notes when you do + helps me to know what notes give certain vibes so i can pick it out in other fragerances i love this fragerance i have not smelled any other from taur so i need to try the others .
Spot on Aaron. Very skilled perfumery with a beautiful scent.
I waited for my sample and sprayed it simoultaniously with ATH. Enjoyable experience.
What about the dry down ? Making a full scale judgement based on a few moments on skin with out assessment of the development is off in my opinion as to providing insights and thoughts other then speaking on the opening and ingredients .
And as a side note it is a bit fluffy and sweet yet I personally use a base layer of two swipes of a Thai or Cambodian oil then a few swipes of an attar from Anthony Marmins Imperial Oud which is more of an attar . Collar bone , top of wrists , behind the ears and neck . 6 sprays of Marocain on top of these points one behind neck one on chest and 1 hour later when it blends and settles it is absolutely magical and one of the most amazing scents I have noted in my layering black book . I rarely wear anything by itself as I create layers that are far more exotic and unique.
I like it, not love it too but I love Au Coeur du Désert instead. Much richer and smoother. You should try it!
Au cœur du desert is an ambery perfume ? I like amber perfume.
I Got this today in a swap for my Blessed Baraka, I like it alot & it was in my Wishlist for 2021. Brilliant frag.
LDDM is my favorite. Thank you for your review.
One of my favorites 💖🦄 we need more bottles at maxaroma, everything is always sold out 😫
According to a GC/MS this one relies on heavy amounts of Vertofix (24%) and Vanillin (11%). Cedar, Vetiver and Patchouli oils also play an important role (10, 10 and 5% respec.)
Wanted to love this one but it did not work with my body chemistry. I do love reading the reviews tho and how ppl seem to overlook the fact that fragrance smells different on everyone.
Wow! I agree on the dryness. I’d love it as an incense, but it’s too dry for me. I’ve tried to wear it with a rose perfume, but I don’t think it plays well with other perfumes.
Okay, so it's got the ATH approval, so now I know it's gonna be good❤️❤️❤️.
Almost 16k Subs. Work!!!
Loved ur review
Don’t agree with you on this one. To me it’s a masterpiece and a must have! It goes with what I call the “3 desert fragrances “
Timbuktu, Camel and this fragrance! All masterpieces in my opinion.
Totally get people not liking it. It’s well crafted even if not you cup of tea. Coeur has even more body, I would rate it much higher. Oddly enough this scent is very weather dependent, best in dry hot weather because the top evaporates and the base feels heavier.
I would suggest for you to review Rien Intense Incense by Etat Libre d'Orange.
It was supposedly to resemble a place spice market in the Desert something like that 🤷🏼♂️ it was always part of my bucket list/collection... just for the art behind it i don’t think would be easy to wear find a occasion to rock it but I still want it if it makes sense
Oscar Martinez Bit like our boy, Aaron 🙌🏼
Oscar Martinez oops sorry. I don’t know how this comment ended up here. I was replying to a comment I can’t even see now. Mmm, losing it, clearly 🙄
Wassa W no problem was we good
Hello Aaron much love to you i would love for you to review nishane hacivat also really thinking about getting your onyx
Been waiting for this one for a long time.
@meaturama Hyped within the community, and all around a great smelling fragrance.
ohh i've been waiting for this one, lets watch :)
Do you have a problem after unboxing with maturation? I think 02 need time after opening and oxydation to be on his high level.
I took a bottle, was wearing it few times, but after 2 hours - almost nothing. Skin scent… Hope it will change over time.
Always good hearing u
thank you finally one andy reviewed
What do you think about Musc Ravageur by Frederic Malle ? :) Great Video as always !!
one of my favorites.
Glad you said it wasn't for you due to it's airiness ...I can already see my skin eating this up and becoming a scent in 30 minutes hah
hey Aaron when are you going to start doing more new PERFUMER REVIEWS CAN'T WANIT FOR THE FIRST VIDEO OF THE NEXT REVIEW VIDEO
This juice was far too arid for me. Everything feels like it's sitting at the top (in my mind) and there's no real foundation. It's gorgeous, just not for my brain.
Spot on
Perfect analogy
Tauer Incense Rose is amazing. I don t like LDDM either.
I literally wait for your uploads! definitely my fav reviewer
A few more then we have a break for a few weeks 🦄
This is one of my all time favorites!!!

Hi Aaron, have you reviewed Au Couer de desert?
Gotta wait for the dry down on this one
Blessings bro, stay up 🇹🇹
Andy Tauer makes really good fragrances
aaron: layer it with animalix! what do you think ;-)
Yes I should do that next time!!
Aaron! Where can I get your perfumes Down Under?
this cannot be called a review its called first impression. You need to spend some time with a frag to do a proper review. You can't just sniff the top notes and call it review.
So… essentially you’re telling the perfumer and chemist with a degree and an absolute expert in the field, what to think XD
@@tensaiow5133 Exactly what I was thinking!!
@tensaiow5133 i guess, because he has "guru" in his name. What a joke. 😂

My favourite fragrance!!!
That’s your most unconvincing “I’m fantastic “ yet.
What is your favourite fragrance so far?

How to access to your Work?

He has done a review on both... and if you’re in the states maxaroma is the only place that you can find them when he restocks
I think black orchard. Herod and the other one from pdm beginning with O
I’m sometimes to focust on some brands! What is good way to lose that Aaron?
I think brands often have a basic DNA that is either comforting to us or feels alien/synthetic/unnatural.
Overall that is a good thing in my mind, since you can imagine and get into a new fragrance from a familiar house quite well.
I am in a online forum, where members sell and exchanges samples anf decants really cheap. That way you can test 2-10ml for just a few euros and you get to chose from basically all fragrances available. I often buy similar themes, eg tabacco and vanilla, from 3-4 different houses for comparison.
Cheers!
Str4vv nice! Where are you from?
@@royvan6224 I am from Germany.
Str4vv what is the online forum? I’m from the Netherlands
@@royvan6224 parfumo dot DE. But it has an english speaking cousing (dot NET), but I have not had a look arround there. They might be linked like amazon reviews somtimes are. Just give it a look. I was born 10km from the DE/NL border, been there a lot on vacations :)
Interesting reflection.
Bought a sample of this today. I think it’s more an old lady fragrance😂.
I do not understand the hype to be true. For me there is just to much coriander, plus I don't get any feeling of a desert.
I like this one bro

Agreed.

I think u reviewed the wrong frag
Shocking review tbh. I love love love this fragrance. First time I actually disagree with Aaron!
1:34 never have I ever seen you stoned that long, Aaron. Must be a pretty divergent fragrance!
1:09 first thing I said was "GOD DAMN" and then you explain why you spray so much afterwards 😂😂😂
where did you get your hair procedure done and how much? looks incredible!
I had it done in London. It’s so good. Doesn’t look like a dolls hair. Looks so natural
(perfumer puts 1 blade of grass in a fragrance)
*Aaron:* "This fragrance is too green!" xD
How would this and animalix go together? 👹
"Filthy bitch of a fragrance" had me laughing out loud, first thing in the morning! Hope you are well.
I never understood the hype with this. All the other reviewers who spout the same BS line about "smells like a spice market and the desert" are just hopping on the hype-wagon. It's not a versatile scent, it's not a long lasting scent, it DOESN'T smell like a spice market. If any of you have been to a spice market in the desert or Morocco in general, it's nothing like this fragrance tries to be. Smells like a wet biscuit in my opinion. Overpriced and played out.
❤️
Dude I think you might have over sprayed this one ;)
