I will always miss WOW. My dad introduced me to the game when I was very young. Played it as long as I can remember, and basically grew up with the game. It's sad to see what it has become. I stopped playing over a year ago, but still think about returning, but I just know it will never be the same; especially since Shadowlands...
First WoW was the most epic MMO ever! What memories! Those horde vs alliance massive realm battles :D Those raids on Ragnaros and Onyxia. That was epic!
Well I found your channel totally by accident and binge-watched the entire WoWcraft series.. LOVED it. I genuinely laughed right out loud on so so many of them. The end was so sad and mostly true. The last bit of fun for me was BfA (unpopular opinion, but I actually liked most of that xpac -- until the last few months or so.) I played since vanilla, and they've taken virtually every bit of community out of it, and in some ways, the community did it to itself. I pined for a long time at the death of DAoC (my first MMO).. That was one incredible game during its' heyday. I got over that, and will get over WoW too. I honestly thing it was the timing for all of us who played during that early era.. We were among the first to play an MMO, to experience the open-world concept, to explore and play with other people for the first time. It was new for virtually everyone and I think that's what made those times so special. These days with everyone being used to it, it just doesn't feel special anymore, 'ya know? Thanks for the trip down memory lane and the incredible laughs though!! AWESOME work !!!
I was never a hardcore wow player but I’ve played here and there for a few months over the previous decade and more. But this still made me sad 😂 knowing there are so many classic things we experienced and we probably will never get to experience it in the same way again.
I loved all your videos man. It’s weird to get emotional over things like this but I look back at the best years of my life your videos left an impact along with Blizzards games. I remember StarCrafts brought a new passion to play StarCraft after I had stopped. It’s weird that the games I loved are now gone, and we the players were left as the relics to remember them. I look forward to your future content, but I admit I am a bit lost of passion without a good Blizzard game to play.
The last clip was so touching...because as soon as the tops of any MMO saw the milking money mechanics of the games...they just ruin all...over and over again. Im not a wow player but i had my own mmo and its so sad to see what old game mechanics changed the new games....how they are made and how they grab your money... ...I will always remember the times when the adventure was the only important aspect and not leveling or items...things will never be the same ever...
So damned sad at the end there. What about those of us left behind? Who don't want to play Final Fantasy for whatever reasons. Trapped in WoW alone. It was eighteen years of my life, including all the other Blizzard games before and during WoW. I can't just leave it like that. Maybe for a little while but we always come back. Oh well I guess.
Played years of Overwatch - quit. Played years of World of Tanks - Quit. Played years of Siege - quit. Played years of LoL - Quit. (came back to just play some Aram's). It's easier to quit then you think.
For the longest time I though the same. That starting another MMO journey just wouldn't work. But after just about 14 years of wow, I had had enough. It felt like it was disrespecting my time and that made me really bitter and unpleasant to be around. A month after quitting wow I tried FF14 and it feels better than I thought it would. It doesn't feel like there's any pressure to play at all. Just do the content at your own pace and you'll be golden.
You can continue playing and continue feeding greedy braindead corporates that twisted the game into money drainer. If you’re that addicted, then continue, nobody should be stopping you.
Oh damn that end compilation of WOW was nostalgic. I can still remember like it was yesterday when Me and my friends desided to do the Dead Mines instance for the first time… suddenly 6 Horde players was seen there lvl 60, and rest lvl20-40. After few minutes there were a total War going on with more Horde coming from STV and Alliance from Stormwind. Eventually over 20 player open world pvp. Good damn that was wild…. Then few years passed and Horde pulled a Raid Boss to Stormwind.. I think there are still videos about that. It was So wild. Almost Everything was possible in that game. And that is What made it So addictive.
Miss the good old days , I’m married now and hopefully will tell my kids about this game and how epic it was back then …. This game made me the man I am today
*_Sniffle_* Yeah, I know, but I'm still playing, even so. Still... you're not wrong. It was really the best for a while, then Blizz shot themselves in the foot - or somewhere - and chased off so many people. Still, you made such a fabu series of animated hilarity. Well done, you. Giant bag of phatt lootz for you. 💜
WoW was so good back in 2005-2008, Vanilla, Burning Crusade, at the time it was a such a fresh idea, people were really into it. It really went to grind-shit-complain-repeat afterwards, most of the communities died, guilds became just a thing for a tabard and a title :(
Shadowlands really killed WoW I mean WoW has been having plenty of issues lately anyways, but Dragonflight looks promising , at the very least I'm going to enjoy the crafting boards and the new talent trees!
Gonna say this, it'll be just as bad as shadowlands. its going to be released in 2022, so it'll be a rushed mess. And you know blizzard refuses to listen to feedback so... yeah.
@@archmagemc3561 it feels like it would be that way. But it's on line with all there other expansion release timelines surprisingly. And there are plenty of things I'm looking forward to in Dragonflight, so unless they manage to screw up literally every single part of it, it'll be pretty enjoyable.
@@namnams1495 Last two expacks were on their timeline and both rushed and horrible, so yeah.... I have no hope and it'll have to be as good as BC at least to catch my attention, and I don't think blizzard has taht talent anymore. Did you SEE diablo immortal?
@@archmagemc3561 I mean besides the FRICK LAZER BEAMS way of killing Nzoth. I legitimately enjoyed BfA. And yeah I've seen immortal. It's a disappointment, I mean to be fair it was a disappointment since the day it was announced "what? Do you guys NOT have phones?" And not to mention the gacha money scheme that it basically is. It's very disgraceful, but still some people enjoy it so good for them.
Maaaan that last part of the video hit me hard, i have never experienced anything similar to those early days feelings in any game since. Gj with the video!
I was legit laughing almost nonstop during the *Shadowlands* trailer (and also this parody of it ;) ). Oh, that abomination's cute buttcheeks....It reminds me of when I heroically bubbled and hid in the basement when I discovered that *Stitches* COULD enter the Darkshire Inn....
FFXIV is no replacement to WoW. It's good as it's own thing, but it's not the same. I'm happy staying with WoW through the good and the bad. Dragonflight looks really fun and I'm having a good time catching up in Shadowlands. It's definitely not dead as people make it out to be and I've seen lots of players returning.
So what do you call these people who keeps insisting that Blizzard has fallen so low and they're just 'showing their frustration and anger' by making up such claims?
Never saw anyone returning to Wow unless they play a LFR raid once a week and quit after a couple of months. Claiming that Wow is not dead won't make it true, the game has turned into a pointless LFR trip with a nonsense scenario and feels like watching a bad movie.
13:00 Just right! I was alone too. The game was challenging from start all through WOTLK. To achieve or to get a gear. Make a group for dungeons. Getting a raid. You feel you are accomplishing something. Today the game became easy to obtain gears and max level so the challenge is gone and the game became boring.
11:05 That shit hit hard... God damn, not only do i miss that age, and time of WoW, and at that time i was hard into EverQuest... (Looks at Carbot and nods. Walks away slow with a cane)
It's July 2022, I quit WoW three months ago and turned to FFXIV aswell. Well after the big refugee wave. And I don't look back. My guild has become the same as the whole WoW Community: Toxic. It's just not about the "We" anymore, EVERYONE in WoW cares only about themselves and their f$%§&%$§" logs. Everyone just cares how they perform in a battle and sometimes not even anymore that the boss dies. 14 years of good memories and I will hold those memories dear, but it's just time to move on and keep WoW in my heart how it was in the "good" days. Good bye old friend.
11:07 Its just a shame they had to turn it into a money grab. Everything was fine until Activision came along. I thought maybe they learned their lessons from retail and not screw with classic but with the introduction of WoW tokens in Lich King I guess not. Had to walk away from the game after investment yet again. I watch these videos from carbot animations and stroll down memory lane. I will always have fond memories of the game but as they say, you can never go home.
God dammit. Ep 57 hits home way too much. I didn't play WoW but I played SWTOR, and it's the same damn thing there. Finding the guild, friends, raids and general MMO stuff. I loved that game but over years it lost it's soul. At least still got my best friend that I meet there.
What the WoW players that get weepy at that 2nd to last clip don't understand is that this exact situation had been happening to EVERY other MMO BECAUSE of WoW. I was a SWG player and was in an amazing guild but one by one they all went to WoW. Because I was so bitter, instead of going to Wow, I tried CoH and found a great supergroup there but again one by one they all went to WoW. It happened again and again with AoC, SWTOR, and Rift. By the time my searing hatred for WoW had subsided it was the beginning of the Legion expansion and so I tried it and found a fun guild and spent a couple good years with them. Then when BFA came around and one by one all my guildmates left to play other games all I could do was laugh. Then I went to GW2 because I'm not a weeb.
I guess the best way you can describe my inability to go over to FFXIV: Online is how much it means to me and how much it meant to my childhood. I started WoW in Vanilla around 2005 when I was only 8 and it has been part of my life ever since. Maybe I have too much hope. Too much belief that WoW could possibly become fun again. But... I'll keep playing WoW: Classic until I'm finally broken. Even if FFXIV is free, I just can't.
Being new to FF14 and WoW around the same time, just a couple years ago, WoW is a massively better playing experience. Even with the massive amounts of confusion in the beginning. FF14 was the first game I almost fell asleep while playing.
Levelling and exploring and human interaction and having everything being new for the first time, this is what made it magical. Me and my friends got back into classic, after 15 years for most of us and more for some. It's WotLK now. It's fun. Nothing will ever beat the wonder of playing this new thing from Alpha into launch though. The random raids, half the raid disappearing "mysteriously" in Dustwallow Marsh before reaching The Barrens, where everyone were dispersed through PvP or getting lost in the huge plains, me and a guild buddy eventually making a FRAPS of me raiding Thunderbluff alone as the sole survivor, him on a low lvl horde alt, me trolling them before low hp and double protection into bubble and hearth. Getting my first enchant, got a really cool glow on my polearm. Spending months doing Plaguelands, Stratholme, trying to find "secret" quests for Ashbringer, the literally legendary weapon. Starting ubrs and BRD farming with guild, mining dark iron ore, farming for Chromatic Breastplate... Reading the entire uldaman story as a dwarf, being sent to Tanaris in a dead end quest but epic "hidden" place with huge golem elite guardians and a mysterious disk, looking into my character's origins Even more mysteries about this Salvador Dali'esque cavern with cool elite dragons of a whole own dragonflight, with a hidden portal you cant go through but someone says you can glitch through and there's an entire zone under the ground! Finally starting MC with guild Our first Azuregos kill, the first Ragnaros kill, Onyxia, Khazzak Seing an entirely new SET GEAR that's tier 3! Or 2 if you like, the upgradeable quest stuff was 2 Going into BWL, doing great as a guild Having the ingot and all reserved for me, I got the most DKP, I was always there to help and to raid Having a test at school, missed raid The other, almost only decent retri paladin on entire server - NOT a popular class btw - got the BoP when they raided the ONE time I couldn't come AQ opening event, epic war efforts of entire server both horde and alliance Massive event over the entire zone, guld first to down the lieutenant guys outside, we did 3 or 4 First fight some of us got knocked across the ENTIRE MAP, literally Me bubbling, landing on a tall spike Have to wait for cooldown then jump down, lads still holding on for dear life when I get back after riding over Slowly getting less time for the game Want to get back a bit TBC Some real life friends that started playing later and on another server coerce me to join after a long break > kill 150 of X animal > untamed blade from freaking BWL replaced by some old peasant's walking stick after just a few days > bye onslaught girdle, flamewrought gauntlets, thaurassian trinket etc etc Weird skills No grouping no exploring no story just a conveyor belt to dungeon farm for items Whats going on What am I doing Why am I doing this Quit ........................... 15 years .......................... Everything is fun when you're on Discord with friends I guess:) And the opening day zeppelin ride was chaotic but fun. WotLK was sooooooooooooooo much better expansion than TBC. But still miss the wonders of no-patch WoW and the relevancy of it. Btw yes people grew up and many got a bit better and there's TONS of information out there now. But those who say vanilla players didn't use tactics, didn't read up on encounters, had a tough time managing it, don't mark targets.... just lol. You have no idea what you're saying... OR ... it's true for *you* maybe and that's not good and probably why you never were in a successful guild :p And no lag was not an issue back then. And yes they nerfed both dungeons and raids into oblivion slowly over time, that means the "vanilla" content for WotLK as well. Doing Stratholme in 45 min was not easy for just anybody and one wipe meant full respawns. Overlord Wyrmthalak is just as "complex" as any TBC or WotLK boss and it's not even a raid one. Just to take one example. Putting in one mechanic where you have to push an extra button is a poor prerequisite for what makes a "hard" fight. It's a combination of many many things. Hell even Drakkisath's conflagration will kill you if you don't know what you're doing or are oblivious, even at lvl80. When your DBM doesn't put up blasting gongs and flashing lights every time the monster twitch, you have to use good old fashioned eyes. There's many cool and cooler fights now, and cool quests, but they're fewer and far in between and the lore is just all over the place and for some reason the protagonists are just thrown in for being protagonists because they have to do it I guess, instead of building on the foundations Blizz made so long ago. Magni's story is cool I guess, and Bolvar, and Sylvanas. Etc. But there's sooo much stuff that was just drained away. Man idk what I'm saying anymore lol. Just... Vanilla was magical. It really was. It's not melancholy, it just was.

В конце даже прослезился малёха...
I teared up a bit at the end of the video
Jesus that intro
my ears exploded
I liked how he showed the distinction between the old players' transport and the new players' transport
I had to cry, i saw my hole life passing by!
Good Work Carbot. Love the creativity.
Quiting WoW Shadowlands was a good Descision. And i refuse to give Dragonflight a Chance.
Not kidding when I say that the 2nd to last video brought a tear to my eyes.
You can try ff14 for free, actually it took me 2 months to complete f2p content, if it's not for you just quit.
It really went to grind-shit-complain-repeat afterwards, most of the communities died, guilds became just a thing for a tabard and a title :(
Shadowlands really killed WoW
I mean WoW has been having plenty of issues lately anyways, but Dragonflight looks promising , at the very least I'm going to enjoy the crafting boards and the new talent trees!
Do you guys NOT have phones?"
And not to mention the gacha money scheme that it basically is. It's very disgraceful, but still some people enjoy it so good for them.
dud the flag at the beginning 1:34 kill me ...that reference hahahaha did not see that coming or leaving hahah well done
Maaaan that last part of the video hit me hard, i have never experienced anything similar to those early days feelings in any game since. Gj with the video!
Love the sponsor bit in the beginning 🤣
i have literally understood no word of that sponsored ad lmfao
I love how this highlights just how much they turned Sylvanas into an unlikeable mary sue and how they have written her so poorly.
god no matter how many times i have seen this it always hit sooo true!!! (and quite hard too)
amazing work as always
I want a Honkai Impact short in Carbot's style now
I was legit laughing almost nonstop during the *Shadowlands* trailer (and also this parody of it ;) ). Oh, that abomination's cute buttcheeks....It reminds me of when I heroically bubbled and hid in the basement when I discovered that *Stitches* COULD enter the Darkshire Inn....
Bro the AV one absolutely KILLED ME. megakek
2 vids in one day…wat
Holy shit I almost cried before the FF thingy.
2:40 just how i do icc mount runs hahaa
11:05 That shit hit hard... God damn, not only do i miss that age, and time of WoW, and at that time i was hard into EverQuest... (Looks at Carbot and nods. Walks away slow with a cane)
Sad but true. So many things to do and have nothing to do at the same time over similar contents is so sad.
Its hard to be thankful and not sad for the amazing days in the past, but we gotta believe there are even better days in future.
Good bye old friend.
damn, never even played WoW and that second to last one got me in the feels.
You, sir made me remember and made me cry.
You did it! You added the fell reaver! THANK YOU
Awesome WoWcraft compilation. It was a great game but I found a refuge in Guild Wars 2
I'm glad that I had the best of WoW 17 years ago.
God dammit. Ep 57 hits home way too much. I didn't play WoW but I played SWTOR, and it's the same damn thing there. Finding the guild, friends, raids and general MMO stuff. I loved that game but over years it lost it's soul. At least still got my best friend that I meet there.
The last part is just that, excellent and true.
Thumbs up !
The fact that the title isn't "51-58" really makes it hit you hard how this really was the end.
Loved the ending as a long time FFXIV fan
Good thing I left this magnificent game after WoTLK in 2009. My good old memories are saved ❤️
the last wow episode brought me to tears, damn you carbot
It's ironic how many games have been called the killer of WOW, but it was Blizzard themselves who killed WOW.
It's never goodbye... Always a see you soon
Wait until ASHES OF CREATION releases !!
Nooooo not da end noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo this is to funny!
#57 always makes me cry! Well done!
This was better than the actual cinematics
Ffs. After your own ad, when the movie finally started... I got an ad.
Then I went to GW2 because I'm not a weeb.
which year that happened? 2013-2017?
@@genadimaxi5287 more like 2004-2018
Lol in order to win AV horde has to do a cartoon about it :D
So many good memories
I wish once Microsoft gets a hold of/full control of Blizzard, we get WC4 that carries on from WC3 as an alternate timeline story
WoW wasn't my first MMO and not my last, but nothing compares to the fond memories I have with Vanilla WoW.
when I saw the second to last one and the last one : " I am not crying, you are crying..."
Hope he revives this for Dragonflight and does something with Tauren rogues :)
:( Nostalgia total, buenos tiempos..... casi lloro con el video, me trajo muchos viejos recuerdos. Gracias!
Reading the entire uldaman story as a dwarf, being sent to Tanaris in a dead end quest but epic "hidden" place with huge golem elite guardians and a mysterious disk, looking into my character's origins
Even more mysteries about this Salvador Dali'esque cavern with cool elite dragons of a whole own dragonflight, with a hidden portal you cant go through but someone says you can glitch through and there's an entire zone under the ground!
Finally starting MC with guild
Our first Azuregos kill, the first Ragnaros kill, Onyxia, Khazzak
Seing an entirely new SET GEAR that's tier 3! Or 2 if you like, the upgradeable quest stuff was 2
Going into BWL, doing great as a guild
Having the ingot and all reserved for me, I got the most DKP, I was always there to help and to raid
Having a test at school, missed raid
The other, almost only decent retri paladin on entire server - NOT a popular class btw - got the BoP when they raided the ONE time I couldn't come
AQ opening event, epic war efforts of entire server both horde and alliance
Massive event over the entire zone, guld first to down the lieutenant guys outside, we did 3 or 4
First fight some of us got knocked across the ENTIRE MAP, literally
Me bubbling, landing on a tall spike
Have to wait for cooldown then jump down, lads still holding on for dear life when I get back after riding over
Slowly getting less time for the game
Want to get back a bit
TBC
Some real life friends that started playing later and on another server coerce me to join after a long break
> kill 150 of X animal
> untamed blade from freaking BWL replaced by some old peasant's walking stick after just a few days
> bye onslaught girdle, flamewrought gauntlets, thaurassian trinket etc etc
Weird skills
No grouping no exploring no story just a conveyor belt to dungeon farm for items
Whats going on
What am I doing
Why am I doing this
Quit

Damn, the last two videos are heartbreakers...
The last one hurt, really hard..
Carbot what with this volume level , you want to burst my eardrums out? Chill a little.
Well at least this ends in a slightly higher note than DiabLol II...
