If the roster is not expanded. I don't think a player who have experienced other mods in their entirety will be satisfied. This is where Europa Barbororum, Extended Greek/Culture mod, Diadochi Total War shine despite being crashy... They give a fuller experience.
The only gripe is that because the map is way bigger, there are also way too many rebel settlements to deal with, that the Sassanids pretty much can expand the easiest since there are no challenges to their eastern flank (No White Huns)
I don’t know if I am Alone but I prefer by far the m2tw engine. I would love a remastered m2tw with something as big as a mod like bulat steel which is by far the best and the most underrated mod for m2tw for me, better than stainless steel.
Gudea plz check out Europe Ancient and the Barbarian Invasion mod for medieval 2, theyre very good ports for medieval 2, they even extend and refine some aspects
didn´t know about the mod, but looks like a very good mod. i like thegenerals UI and improved units in battle. Of cause, a bigger more detailed map workes better for BI campaigns. Would be interestng to see, if sassanids become overpowered in the east.
the east seems mostly unchanged settlement-wise from 270 BC, the slavs are too far west, and i'm not sure if the ai can cope with the hunnic starting position
The mod appears to be pretty raw and buggy (many units missing unit cards/descriptions, game treating some of your starting settlements as not really yours by adding movement blocks around its surrounding tiles). Played as the Romano-British. Wish you had emphasized that the current version is in early access state. Overall the changes are pretty good, just needs a bunch of polishing.
@@GudeaTW the original modder for retrofit came back recently and updated it in july 2024 addtessing some game killing bugs I think. Rome Expanded still goes on and they are somewhat different now but feel similar. One has unified Rome for starters.
What do you think of bi minimalism? Let me know!

there's a julian or justinian mod for remastered?
This looks great. Ba vanilla was in need of a bigger map!!. Also the new skins look good
Indeed

I don't know why, but I rarely get notifications for your channel for quite a while. Nice work as always. Keep up!
Hmm sounds like youtube weirdness!
@@GudeaTW I agree.
This mod actually makes me want to play as the Alemanni for once. The chosen Axemen look really cool!
Lol I know right?
Mabe they'll make it on the remaster!
Indeed
Alemanni are very powerful in Mundes Magnes

Units look so good compared to BI vanilla. It’s really hard to go back to vanilla art style after playing historical powerhouses like EB2.
Love EB2
There was this dope mod for Rome called Thera. Is anybody porting that to Rome Remastered yet?
Comment for the comment gods.
Thank you!

Yes that's the issue with vanilla type bi mods... you need to add more factions in the east to balance the sassanids
the east seems mostly unchanged settlement-wise from 270 BC, the slavs are too far west, and i'm not sure if the ai can cope with the hunnic starting position
Yes for me, I prefer bi mods that have more historical/gameplay changes because of this
Can you play the old RTW on newer computers? I recently bought a new computer but I fear this game won't work on Win11.

Is there a Europea Barbarism mod that covers the late empire?
Gudea is there a simple mod which unifies rome nothing else?
Is there any update for Rome Retrofit?
I believe rome expanded has taken the mantle of that mod?

Ah thanks for the info!
