I wish I had thought about putting Cedar on my door panels oh, it's such a great idea! Around your raw metal you may want to put tubing so you won't cut your hands because using the space in your door is always an excellent use of an often unused area! My doors have leather handles just below the windows for closing the doors. Keep up the great work
Hi Guys, I just watched your video and at the end you said you were going to varnish the cedar. You shouldn't varnish it, that would seal in the wonderful smell. Also it would nullify the bug repellent properties of the cedar.
Hey we appreciate the comment Michael! Before we went to order the varnish we did some research and realized that it's okay to not varnish cedar, so we decided against it! Thank you for the extra heads up!
It would have been nice if you would have shown how to take the door panels off. That's what I'm looking for. A video showing how to get the door panels off
If your van is like ours then the door panels should just be held on by some screws. Just remove as many screws as you can see and start lightly pulling it off to see where it might still be held on by a screw. If there are any round "buttons" you can pop those off with a flathead screwdriver to access the screw underneath. I hope that helps!
