My Greyhound years ago I would be walking and I can't believe it that he balked and just looked so innocent and I know what he was thinking. I want to go home and get on my sofa. I would start laughing she was so cute. Sometimes I would let him walk in circles a few times and that only worked a few times. I thought I could mix him up but no doing. So he was ready for that. Loved him till death. Man that was so hard. Thanks for your beautiful post. Kevin & Autumn
We have an older black female greyhound named Shady. She did the same thing. Just stopped and only continued when she felt like it. She doesn't do much now but she moves at her own pace (glacial). Doodad is adorable and reminds me of a female greyhound we had for 10 years but lost in 2012. What a sweetie!

Your Doodad vids are so wonderful! I commented a few years ago and you replied to say that Sal (Bella Salvo) and Doodad were about the same age. Sal is 7 now and has been with me since age 2. He was puppyish when I adopted him and is still skippy and bouncy when I say, "treats?" "car?" "outside?" etcetera. I hope your viewers not only love Doodad (she is so sweet!), but also consider what an amazing, gentle, lovable pet a retired greyhound will be in their home.

Doodad sure likes to take in the scenery outdoors. Mine always wants to stop and sniff everything. So I have to tell here were not going to sniff everything.

I think she wants to stay outside as much as possible. My Apache is always way slower in the way back, and I suspect it is not just because she is tired...
we have a male that will get about a block and freeze and get carried home. neat to see that doodad will actually break out the freeze. our poor boy just does not get to go for walks now. he will run on his own but put a leash on him and take him out front and its like he can see the entire universe

Irene Checa could very well be the case. Doodad was not used to this route and stalls whenever we take her down Stubborn Street.
