My 4c hair is normally 19-22”. I understand the time involved. I twist or braid once every 30 days when I wash. Sometimes every other week in between. Moisturize & band while drying. That’s 1 wk. Unband wk 2. Scarf, band, hang wk 3, twist out wk 4. Cream moisturize when when necessary.
I did these small twists in my hair last week. I did it on soaking wet hair. It took me about 2 hours. I have been wearing them for over a week now. The only mistake I made was twisting the back ones towards the sides so there is a gap in the middle back. I thought I would hate them with the obvious line of demarcation but I dont. Perfect protective style.
Awwe. the mini twist looks cute on you ... such a comfortable dress up/down style, I love. Did mine about a month ago and I enjoy not having to do my hair for about a week. After that look like my hair wanted to lock up. Tennessee is such a beautiful, clean state. Happy wishes for you in the new state!!

I pray to God I can achieve a beautiful head of gray hair like this. I’ve been fighting my grays since 30s and I’m just tired. My edges are a mess from so called protective styling and I pray with the proper care that I’m now applying they’ll fill in and my entire head of hair will thrive and grow to even shoulder length

My two strand twists tend to shrink up. They never hang straight down. Aaaah! Your hair looks lovely and I love your lips with lipstick. Great lip colour and simple doable make up. Very pretty 🇬🇧

Omg what a move.. congrats on your move, make sure when you get settled I would love a tour of Tennessee I have never been there before.. I understand the twist mine does the same, if I need to push them out I would put a little water conditioner and gel and pull them back and keep it moving. Have a wonderful day.
Your patience is outstanding. Looking at this vid reminds me of when I was a loose natural. I was doing 2 strand twists too with all the products . I had to give up and got Sisterlocks. The best decision I ever made for my hair. I know locks are not for everybody. I admire your patience but I don’t miss those days at all. You’re so pretty! When I got to that last section I would start wondering how bad it would look if I would just cut that piece off. 😂
Another tip to stretch out the twists is to redo the 6 or 7 that frame the face to freshen up the look. Should take no more than 15/20 minutes. Twists are my go to, but I have the same grey frizzies that end up coming through after a while.
Love you hair in those twist, my low/medium density hair would not be too appealing to me so not sure about trying it, however I do keep my hair in braids during the week mostly, so when out and about just throw on a cap or slapcap and keep it moving. Your my inspiration to embrace my salt and pepper hair started going silver to tone when i was 15 years old after being born with silver streaks of silver as a baby. now i'm almost complete like yours my bangs are still off black but the rest is totally salt and pepper silver ashy colored. My father never had any grey but my mom was totally pale ash grey at 60 yrs. i'm 55 yrs. I live in Milwaukee, Wi , originally from Tennessee.
My kind of style. I use to wear this all the time. Stopped when my hair became so thin on the top and back of my head. I turned 55 on the 3rd of August. I have more white hair then you have. You have inspired me to try this style again.
Man, I've been through it with hair thinking and falling out. About a year and a half ago I found out that my iron level was really low so I set about to changing it and I have. My hair seems like it's settled now. It's shorter than the poster's but when it was longer I'd always wore my hair in twists.
I like these mini twists, but they take too long for me. I'm hoping to get my hairdresser to do them for me, using similar products and your method. TFS and hope you're loving your new home! 👍❤❤❤

Omg they came out great! If you had time, you could retwist in sections after 4days if they get frizzy and use gel in roots. I can't wait til my hair gets healed so i can do mini twist. I have been healing from severe heat damage and hair loss from surgery. I cut my hair last yr from tailbone to bra strap and cutting a lil bit every couple months. My hair is now thin but its healing nicely tho.
You have amazing curl pattern... a suggestion is to do them like you do dreads and you have to go back and retwist, i do that sometimes i only take them out when my scalp itches.
Good to see this. I've been doing this for 5 years now and untwist them after a week and they become a whole new style which lasts a further week. I do not put any product in my hair other than leave in conditioner and twist it whilst wet. Its a great wash, style and go 💜

Patchy is my middle name too, lol. But I love my grey. It’s actually bright silver. I keep it braided so I mess with it less and it like my hands off approach.

Beautiful results 😻 When I do mine I start braiding like 0.5in at the root and twist the rest and it makes a big difference. Stays neat for a longer time

I flatten the edges with shea butter and a scarf when I wear my twists in a ponytail. I take the scarf off and the flyaways behave!

I wear my twist out in a ponytail. If you want to extend the look of your twist out..just do the outer edge twists and it will refresh the look!❤

Oh yes!! I do have gray hair but I currently have henna in my hair which is orang/red. I just purchased Indigo; I'm going medium/dark brown; one day I'll be confident and loving my gray like you🌹
