If my memory serves me well, Dabo went out and hired new coaches after the 2010 year. Dabo has mentioned the 2010 year comparing it to this year. Perhaps he is giving us the clue that he will go out and hire the best position coaches he can in the off season.
After all his success at selecting personnel, I had faith in Dabo's hiring practices. As he started naming all the notable ex players to key positions, though, I couldn't help but be bugged by a universal law of business - The most productive employees do NOT go on to make great managers.

We've fielded superior talent, sans portal, every game this season, and look at the results. The portal may help fill needed gaps, but not using it isn't the problem.
Hopefully it gets better with the 12 team playoff but this is what kills me about college football. A team loses one game and then the national media writes them off. The season is meaningless from there on to them. And if your not careful, your players buy into that and the next thing you know you're 4-4. That's where culture and a good staff hammering fundamentals is key.
These next 4 games, Mafah, who averaged 5.4 yards per carry against the Wolfpack, should get a minimum of 22 ~ 25 touches each game and play solid defense; let the chips fall where they may. Get some of the other backs touches - they’ll be hungry. Go Tigers!
I agree with a large portion of your video but what I disagree with is hiring the correct staff. Dabo hired Riley and then handcuffed him in what he could allow the offense to do. It was pitiful back when Clemson came off championship runs,but they kept selling their brand, and the NFL exposed them. Clemson brand isn't what it used to be. It could be,if you want it. Spending money doesn't equate to wins and talent. Everyone is spending money and more now than Clemson. Now, the playing field is spending money. Money doesn't equal wins. Hire whatever coach you want. You have almost 5 years of unfiltered experience in front of you, and many years, it happened before it was legal. Clemson is finally learning development, and relationships matter. Finally, Clemson and its fan base is getting some humble pie and learning, development, and relationships matter. I'm not even a Clemson fan, but before my father died this year,I have heard stories and more before Clemson even had an upper deck in its stadium. I played football with guys who went on to play for Steve at Carolina. Dabo gets his get out of hell free card this year. Next year, if he doesn't use the portal, the development of his players at every phase, he's done. Stop defending crap development, coaching, and relationships, and this idea you have that Clemson is dominant. You're not anymore, and the first thing that helps is identifying you have a problem.
I played football from pop Warner to varsity in high school and would have went on to college until I had a three wheeler accident and messed my right shoulder up to where I could not play again so I know football
