- Hi Everyone, thank you so much for taking the time to watch my video on the Toteme T-Lock Clutch and Top Handle Bag Comparison! I know the quality of the video and sound is not great but I’m new at this so there will be some growing pains here. I am working on improving and perfecting things so please bare with me. Do you find yourself reaching for one size over the other more often?
Thanks for watching! I do reach for the clutch more because it's easier in the summer but the large handle bag is really roomy. When I have more to carry, it's been great. I imagine wearing the larger one more in the fall with all my layering. I feel like it will look more balanced than in the summer with lighter weight clothes. Hope that helps!

I got the clutch and it’s great! Love that you can just tuck the strap in as it connects on the interior. Completely agree with your observation about wearing it crossbody if you’re busty, it hits quite high up. I think the top handle version would be quite comparable to a small/medium Loewe puzzle.
@@niapop I just got the small pebbled version and I just made an extra hole in the strap so that it hangs further down when crossbody. It's SO cute!

I just wanted to give you a practical tip, you need a microphone or to talk louder, your voice comes out as super quiet in comparison to other regular RUclips videos, I have to turn the volume on my computer all the way up meaning I have to turn it down again when your video is over

Thank you for your in depth review. It made me pull the trigger to buy the small Toteme bag. I was looking for a a new everyday day bag. Have been eying Polene bags as well for a long time. But lately I see the Polene bags everywhere. I live in Amsterdam. And do not see the Toteme bags a lot. So decided to buy the small. The bigger on is just a little to big for me and I would overstuff the bag
Great choice! The clutch still has a lot of space to fill but I agree the handle bag is significantly larger. The clutch is very chic. Enjoy!

This is SUCh a helpful review and might finally convince me to make the leap on this bag! After seeing you model these, I'm gravitating towards the clutch-can I ask which length the strap is adjusted to at 13:31 Is the strap doubled under the flap or in its normal position? So gorgeous, thank you for such a detailed video!
Hi, thanks for watching! Sorry for the delay. The clutch is a great option. When I have it at the shorter strap option, I have the strap criss crossed from the inside to make the strap seem shorter. I have the hardware buckle in the middle hole which makes the strap 22" long from end to end and a 9.5" strap drop. The strap at the longest is 42". I hope this helps!

Black bags, black shirt, black shopping bag make it really difficult to see.
Are you using a ring light? Straight on shots looked really dark, whereas shots from overhead were good.

Thanks for watching! I unfortunately do not have an iPad mini but I tried putting a small book and it doesn't fit because of the opening of the clutch. Hope that helps but the clutch is still a great option!
So helpful! I noticed you got both in the grained leather. I'm debating bewteen the two black top handles (smooth leather+ gold hardware Or what you have). Did you choose this option because the grained leather is more durable? I like gold hardware but dont want smooth leather that'll scratch easily🤔
Thanks for watching! I got both because I was "supposed" to return one, lol! Oops, that didn't happen but I wanted a more casual bag with silver hardware. I have so many black and gold bags so I really wanted something different. The Smooth with gold is beautiful but I do like the pebbled leather and yes, will show less marks. I guess if you want a more dressy bag then the smooth with gold might be better and will fall around the corner, the gold could take you further than mine. If you are more casual then the pebbled leather might be a great fit. I really don't think you can go wrong with any color way. Good luck, I hope that helps!
@cjl6254, Another reviewer (Michele Wang) says that the smooth leather is also hard wearing and doesn't scratch easily. :) I just got the small size with the silver hardware and it is both very chic and practical.
@@Prokrastina Yes, I agree that the smooth leather that Toteme uses is so much more durable than other designer bags. Happy to hear you got the clutch size, it's a great option!
I have the gold/ smooth leather but it’s durable and doesn’t scratch easily
I like the larger size (top handle) as Im plus-size 5’8” so I think it would look better on my frame. Does the bottom stay flat/ rigged (not curve…when you put items inside) ?

The top handle is a very practical and beautiful bag, I'm sure you will enjoy it. The bottom is fairly firm and rigid. It is structured where it should hold its shape unless you plan on carrying something very heavy.
I ordered the small one and received today.. it's beautiful..but im just wondering if you can crossbody the clutch aswell?
Oh yay! You're going to love it. Yes you can crossbody. It's not the longest crossbody strap but depending on your height and size, it should comfortably be used as a crossbody. Just use the last hole on the strap. Enjoy!!
Really useful video. Can you tell me the length of the strap on the clutch I’m worried it won’t do crossbody on me
Thank you! The strap at the longest is 42" including the hardware. One thing I just thought of is that you can take the handle to a leather/shoe repair and ask them to add a few notches to the strap! You can easily add 2 more holes that will give you 3" more. It's 1.5" between each hole so the extra length will hopefully do the job. I might just go and do that myself! Hope this helps.

Could you remove the top handle strap on the larger bag and wear it as an oversized clutch?
Hi, top handle of the bag is not removable but you can tuck it into the bag. However the ends of the top handle will be sticking out so just keep that in mind. Hope that helps!
Hello! Excellent review! If you happen to see this comment, is there any way you could possibly tell me the length of the clutch strap? I just purchased my bag on Vestiaire Collective and I’m concerned it is not authentic. The strap is very short and impossible to wear as a crossbody. I’ve attempted looking a various websites for confirmation, but they have conflicting information on the strap length. I would so, so appreciate your input! Thank you!! 😊
Happy to help! The strap on the clutch is 40" at the longest. It's not the best length for me as a crossbody. I am fuller chested, average in weight but I can wear it crossbody if I need to but it sits higher than I'd like. If it is significantly shorter than that at the longest then it can be possible that the strap of the top handle was switched with the crossbody. Hope this helps and good luck!

I've been debating if I can turn the small one to a top handle. The big size just seems a bit too big...
How about getting a short chain strap? They have a ton on Amazon or maybe Etsy. As long as you are ok with a metal chain then it can work. Other wise, the best bet is just making the strap shorter by criss crossing it inside. The Top Handle is large if you are concerned about size. Good luck!
Any ideas on where to get a milk strap or metal strap so I can make it cross body. I am tall and busy but want a cross body

@@DREAMBAG2021 Will look very cute with a short chain strap! The leather is firm enough to have the slouch hold so it will still have that beautiful shape.
@@tamikastewart4399 Getting a black leather strap to match will be tough because of the contrast white stitching. You can search on Amazon or Etsy for a minimum 48" silver chain purse strap. Maybe even google a canvas black and white adjustable strap can be cute. It will give it a more casual/sporty vibe that can still work. Just be sure the hardware is silver to match. Hi, which one do you use more or like better?
I would say the clutch is easier to use because of the size. The top handle can sometimes be a bit large but I still have a use for it on days where I need the extra room. The clutch is also great size to use day and night where as the top handle seems more casual because of the size. Hope that helps!
Hi, is the strap on the big one is able to use for crossbody? Is the strap 45 cm long?

Hi! Unfortunately the large one does not come with a long cross body strap. It comes with a strap that is about 76cm at the longest which is more of a shoulder strap. Hope that helps!

Which one is best for travel?
The large top handle is good in terms of size. If you need the extra space then it would be the best option and you can switch from the top handle or the shoulder strap. However the clutch is a great option to go from an evening bag and a casual crossbody. If you don't need to over stuff your bag, then the clutch is a great option. Sometimes when I travel, I do not like to carry such a large purse. Hope that helps!

I tried putting in a 10" ipad and it fit but the purse will have to fold flap straight across making it more structured so you lose the dip in the middle like I mentioned in the video. It still leaves room for your other essentials. It wound fit a smaller tablet better like a kindle but If you don't mind that, I think it still looks beautiful!
It is a tight squeeze but it does fit.

Sweetheart there is no difference between the CC’s buckle on the *yutulu* and real one. You’re seeing things that aren’t there. If a professional came in and told you the CC was a real, you’d probably agree.
Invest in a microphone!
I from LYXBAG bought a Birkin and I went into Louis Vuitton at South Coast Plaza with a friend who wanted to buy a card case and we received great customer service. They offered us water..LOL I would never buy authentic knowing that are just as good.
I just purchased the clutch in the milk color. 🤍 I’m thinking about getting the tan for fall in the top handle but I’m afraid it might be too large for my petite frame. 😊
Oh, I love the milk color too! Enjoy, the clutch is amazing. The top handle is a bit big. Even though I'm 5'4", because I am average in size, my frame can carry it. I think if you use it as a shoulder bag you should be good. It will help that the color is neutral and not too heavy like the black. I hope it works out!
