    Great information about how to replace fuel injectors on a 2005 scion Xb. Just a couple of things I’d like to add one would be that you need to remove the bolts holding your valve cover down, so you can gain better access to your fuel rail . And like he mentions, just be careful please vacuum and wipe up all the dirt and debris around the fuel injectors, but either than that great info took me about an hour to replace four I just had to go back to NAPA since the injectors I purchased did not come with the complete O-ring seal.

    Thank you! My Xa has almost 280,000 miles on it and there is a slight hesitation that's been there for a while. I've replaced the plugs a couple times over the last year, replaced the PCV, replaced the Mass Fuel. Gave up at one point and took it to my mechanic because of an exhaust smell - he saw that I'd knock loose a hose (DOH). Didn't want to charge me. Engine shakes a lot but it is paid for!

    Thanks for the video really helped me. Well done. I had a leaking injector on the far left /passenger side. i was able to replace it without totally removing the whole rail which meant i didn't need to mess with the hard to get to side 10mm bolt.

    Watching this video post-idiocy on my end, torqued that large left 12mm bolt to "oh god it's loose now" and am currently regretting it with a pool of lightly boiling gasoline in the injector trench... Thank you for making this video so I can do it better in a couple days! (And yes, I am very much an idiot for not watching this video before doing that, lol)

    Also hey guys when you remove the injectors PLEASE!!!! clean the inside of the holes were you took the injectors out of the engine because dirt will fall in and that’s bad that the dirt will take 1 month to come out and bad for your pistons and your valves

    My 06 xB has been getting 21-22 mpg on a consistent basis. It used to get 28+ mpg around down and 33-38 hwy. I took it to the dealer. No codes. I've had everything done on this car to improve mileage. No change. I switched to premium fuel at Exxon. Still no change. I kinda narrowed it down to this

      Never use premium fuel!! It will destroy our (I also own a xB) catalytic converters.

    Please check fuel leak immediately. First time i started up, fuel shooting out. Found one injector is broken. Second time I started up, fuel leak. One seal ring is cracked. Third time started up, one more seal ring is broken. Bad experience and quite dangerous.

    Howdy Joe, great video just one question as this is your first video of you that I’ve seen, do you have a basis on this or a corroboration? Not saying you don’t know what you’re doing or I don’t trust your knowledge by all means, just needing clarification. My apologies if I sound rude, not my intentions.

    Thank you. I love this video. I have a 2012 Toyota Corolla xli and it has the same 1nz fe engine. I am having a misfiring issue on the #4 cylinder. I replaced the coil pack and a set of sparks plugs but no improvements. Could it be that something is going wrong with the injector # 4?

    • @crazylegs85
      @crazylegs85 2 года назад +1

      To see if it's the injector, switch injectors #3 and #4. Clear the codes from your car with your OBD2 reader and drive around until you get the codes again. If you get the error code on #3 then you'll know it's the injector. If the code keeps saying #4 then something else might be the issue. Same thing when you're trying to troubleshoot spark plugs and ignition coils.

    Out of curiosity I was wondering on your Atoto a6 did you have to use any extra brackets to make it fit?

  • @plsmoothy
    @plsmoothy 2 года назад +1

    I was wondering if changing the injectors permanently fixed the problem or if the codes came back after driving the car. I'm having a problem with my 1nzfe (Yaris) where it throws a P0301 and loses power but only when going up hill under high rpm's. Under normal driving conditions it wont throw the code. Like you, I've changed the plugs and ignition coils and I'm probably going to replace the injectors next but it would be great to get an update on your results. Thanks!

      @@plsmoothyHey brother, question, did your injectors ever go bad after installing the new ones? My car is going through the same thing again. It was working well for 4 months after changing the injectors, but then it gave me that same issue again going up hill.

      P0302 on my scion xa 248k.
      To diagnose mine I sprayed brake cleaner around the injector seal and the idle surges meaning I have a vacuum leak. Fuel injector seal kit is $2.00 so I'm ordering 4 sets and changing all the seals... hope this solves my issue

    Hey guys this piece of trash here is gonna work so dont give me a hard time when my ass and my engine catches on fire 😂 Also i havent trouble shooted shit. I am not a mechanic im just a stupid fuck who was dropped his head way too many times. And because im not a mechanic and too be frank with you im really just a incompetent moron who spends a needless 600 dollars on spark plugs and ignition coils that didnt need replacement. So when i say something isnt the problem what im really saying is i replaced a part that didnt need to be replaced🥴 Btw the car just started making a
    rattling noise from the rear tire, i guess its time to replace my engine 🤔 Well i replaced my engine and the tire the rear tire is still making noise so i guess its time to replace my front windshield. Alright guys the tire is still making noise so after my thorough diagnostic algorithm that i made up when i was a newborn, ive come to the conclusion that it might be the tire although it could very well be my turn signal fluids are low, and with my experience im gonna go for the latter🥴
