    I’m so thankful to find this short but helpful clip. I am a stage 4 cancer fighter and just had a very bad pet scan. I am secure in knowing I will be with Christ sooner than later my sadness is for my husband and children. 4 amazing kids who need their mom. I am praying for a miracle but if I don’t get it I will rest knowing God will take care of them.

      @_knx_z, the unpardonable/unforgivable sin or “blasphemy of the Holy Spirit” is mentioned in Mark 3:22-30 and Matthew 12:22-32. Jesus said, “Truly I tell you, people can be forgiven all their sins and every slander they utter” (Mark 3:28), but then He gives one exception: “Whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven; they are guilty of an eternal sin” (verse 29).
      God has provided for our salvation in His Son (John 3:16). Forgiveness is found exclusively in Jesus (John 14:6). To reject the only Savior is to be left with no means of salvation; to reject the only pardon is, obviously, unpardonable.

    • @rachel4yeshua
      @rachel4yeshua 4 года назад +2

      @_knx_z, also no suicide can’t be forgiven because once a person dies by killing themself they’re already dead in their sins just like anybody else who hasn’t repented and dies without the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. One can only be forgiven while they are still alive and have the breath of life in them. Suicide is not the “unpardonable sin” the only unpardonable sin is blasphemy of the Holy Spirit.
      Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for if you do not believe that I am He, you will die in your sins.
      John 8:24
      Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord.
      Acts 3:19
      Seek the LORD while He may be found, Call upon Him while He is near.

Before he gave his last breath he smiled, that was after two days of his body slowly shutting down, it was so shocking and amazing that all the family around him gasped. He was a preacher and God-fearing man. One of the last things he told me was that he had eaten His word for the bad day and that he knew where he was going. This can be cross referenced with Philippians 1 (especially verses 20-26). Departing and abiding are in opposition to one another, and these are used in this passage in relation:
      - To Christ being maginified in the apostle's body (meaning Christ will be exalted in either case); verse 20.
      - "The flesh" in verse 24, meaning in his physical body (not sinful nature, as "flesh" is used in some cases), because he is speaking of it being more needful for the Philippians.

      I agree, God has taken care of it and tells us exactly what happens. There is no mystery to it. When we die we are not conscious as to what goes on, death is likened to sleep (Ecclesiastes 9:5, 6, 10). After we die we await an earthly ressurection (John 5:28, 29) on the earth as perfect humans (Rev. 21:3, 4). Psalms 37:10, 11 assures us of this.

    • @emesass5959
      @emesass5959 5 месяцев назад

      No. The billions of people who have died (other than 144,00 chosen by God himself) await an earthly ressurection. When we die we cease to exist (Ecclesiastes 9:5, 6, 10) John 5:28, 29 speaks of the earthly ressurection God promised. This is fulfilled as promised at Rev. 21:3, 4. The Bible says that “there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous.” (Acts 24:15) The righteous include faithful people, such as Noah, Sarah, and Abraham. (Genesis 6:9; Hebrews 11:11; James 2:21) The unrighteous include those who failed to meet God’s standards but did not have the opportunity to learn and follow them.
      However, those who become so wicked that they are beyond reform will not be resurrected. When such ones die, they suffer permanent destruction with no hope of a return to life.-Matthew 23:33; Hebrews 10:26, 27.

      @@rc.... Jesus himself over and over again stated that he would return to his Father in heaven: “I am going my way to the Father.” (John 14:12, 28; 7:33; 16:5, 10, 28) The apostle Peter on the day of Pentecost called attention to the proof that Jesus had indeed ascended to heaven, saying: “This Jesus God resurrected, of which fact we are all witnesses. Therefore because he was exalted to the right hand of God and received the promised holy spirit from the Father, he has poured out this which you see and hear.”-Acts 2:32, 33.
      Bearing similar testimony are the writings of Christ’s apostles. They tell that Jesus is at the right hand of God (Rom. 8:34; Eph. 1:20; Col. 3:1); that he was highly exalted (Phil. 2:9-11; Heb. 7:26); that he is in the heavens. (Eph. 6:9; Phil. 3:20; Heb. 4:14) In view of all this testimony, there simply can be no question that the Bible teaches that Jesus not only rose from the dead but also ascended into the heavens, where he has been residing ever since.

    The Hebrew word for Soul is Nephesh and if you study that word you realize that the body and soul are one and not separate. Many times that our souls are immortal but the Bible doesn't teach that, it was only some Greek philosophers who made that up and was adopted into church tradition. When we are resurrected, only those in Christ are sustained by him to live eternally, those without Christ are destroyed both body and soul.

      By grace we are saved. From sin, death and the grave. We will all die physically, but biblically a spiritual death is total separation from God which is in hell which will eventually be thrown into the lake of fire. I ask you Jesus to come in to my heart and life and forgive me of my sins. I surrender my life to you. I receive your gift of salvation. It's nothing I have done or will do that will get me into heaven. I receive you Jesus as my Savior. In Jesus name amen.

The Bible promises that that earthly Paradise will be restored under God’s Kingdom, of which Jesus is King. (Psalm 37:9-11; Micah 4:3, 4) Hence, Jesus will be with that wrongdoer and countless other dead ones when he resurrects them from the grave to life on a paradise earth and to the opportunity of learning to do God’s will and living forever.-John 5:28, 29; Revelation 20:11-13; 21:3, 4. The Bible clearly states that there is a specific number who go to heaven (144,000). Billions can look to living on a paradise earth. Rev. 21:3, 4 proves this beyond any doubt.

We will never be without a body (2 Cor 5:1-10) in heaven or on earth. At the pre-trib rapture (Luke 17) I don't see a resurrection (Luke 17:37). We don't disappear. I really appreciate Sprouls and how God used him to guide me back into the Bible and a renewed relationship with Christ. However it is unfortunate that he starts out this video talking about classical Christian theology and not what the Bible teaches. The only text he refers to is Philippians 1:23 where Paul states that he would rather be with the Lord than to be here in the flesh. I can relate with Paul as I too would rather be with the Lord and escape the pain and suffering here on earth. The Bible states that “the dead know nothing” Ecclesiastes 9:5. In 1 Corinthians 15:52 Paul mentions the last trumpet in connection to the dead being raised. In Revelation we find the last trumpet in Revelation 11:15, and in verse 18 it states, “and the time has come for the dead to be judged.” This is a judgement of the wicked and the righteous. If the spirit of man went up to heaven the moment he died then judgment would have to occur the moment he died but the Bible does not teach that. For a clearer picture of death and resurrection look at 1 Thessalonians 4:13-17. Also consider Jesus did not ascend to his Father during the three days he was in the tomb John 20:17. Neither did Lazarus’s spirit ascend to heaven during the four days he was dead in the tomb. Scripture does not support the belief that the spirit goes up to Heaven the moment you die. What Scripture supports is that death is like sleep. You go to sleep/or die and “in the twinkling of an eye” or what seems like no time at all you raise up, either to the resurrection resulting in life or the resurrection resulting in condemnation (see John 5:28,29). The intermediate state is like sleep.

    This is very dark and disturbing fallacy in modern Christianity that many have fallen victim. When a persons dies, saved or unsaved, he or she is buried and placed in the ground. That's it. The believer does not go to heaven and the unbeliever does not go hell. A soul is another term for person. The soul/body resurrection occurs at the second coming, not at death. There is not disembodiment that comes together. The punishment for those that teach and preach lies and deceive is great.

    • @ygkr6437
      @ygkr6437 Год назад

      The soul is the enternal part of you. It does not sleep. The body/earthly vessel is the one that goes into the ground and is sleep. Without the soul and spirit (God's breath) the body is dead.
      If nothing happens to the soul after the body stops working (death), then Hell and Heaven don't exist. And if Hell and Heaven don't exist than that would make the Bible false cause Jesus spoke multiple times about Hell. Even in the book of Revelation it says Death and Hell were cast into the Lake of Fire. Which obviously means Hell is a place.
      The soul gets immediatley judged when you die. It's appointed to man to die once and then the judgement. Everyone will die atleast once. If you're dying twice that means you weren't born again. The second death is the Lake of Fire. Permanent seperation from God. Not annihilation as some like to teach. No such thing as a sprit being destroyed. It's called the second death cause there is no more hope. Forever being seperated from God is death. Cause God is life.
      This teaching by "modern Christianity" is correct cause it's biblical .

    According to Hebrew thought, the soul is synonymous with the person. It is not a separate part of the person that can be detached like is portrayed in pagan mythology. It doesn't survive death. A person dies, their body goes to Sheol, or the grave, and the person is later resurrected to new life with a body suited for immortality. If the soul survives death and goes immediately to heaven and can exist in heaven independently as is so often taught, why does it need to be reunited to the body, any body, later on? Death as the enemy and resurrection as the hope of believer have no meaning if any part of man survives death. The immortal soul idea comes from Egyptian and Greek pagan thought and is part of the Lie, not the Truth.

      Jeremy McGuire - Well understood, and well said, Jeremy. This truth is rooted in the very carefully crafted creation-of-Man statement found in Gen 2:7- SO [thus, in this manner] God created Man of
      •the dust of the earth (physical)
      and breathed into his nostrils
      •the breath [spirit] of LIFE (spiritual)
      and [THUS!” Man became a living SOUL.
      Men do not “have” souls; men ARE souls. And “soul” means ‘person.” Therefore, a man, a person, is a spirit-animated body, called in Scripture a “soul.” The term “disembodied soul” is an oxymoron.

    • @MysticKoolAidMan
      @MysticKoolAidMan 4 года назад +2

      The language "disembodied soul" may be a little misleading, but the new testament teaching is clear: we would rather be away from the body and at home with the Lord. That day the thief was with God in paradise. Martyred saints, before the resurrection, groan for vengeance. Staying means plentiful work but going means gain, not the grave. We have may have a great cloud of active witnesses. He is a God of the living, not the dead. The patriarchs were at the transfiguration, not in the earth awaiting physical ressurrection (though they certainly await it).
      Whatever Hebrew thought was, our understanding of our intermediate dwelling cannot be temporary annihilation, not now that Christ has come.

    I’m not saying that we don’t go someplace very nice while we wait - Jesus and the thief on the cross went to Paradise (paradiso, distinct from Heaven proper) to ‘preach to the souls that were in prison’ - but Heaven and being in the presence of the God, Biblically speaking, seems to be reserved to after final Judgement.

      Well how can that be when God tells us what happens when we die (Ecclesiastes 9:5, 10). When we die we await an earthly ressurection (John 5:28, 29) on the earth as perfect humans (Rev. 21:3, 4). Psalms 37:10, 11 assures us of this. Billions of people cam qualify for the Paradise on earth Rev. 21:3, 4.

    We must all strive for that holiness without which no one shall see the Lord, ( Hebrews 12:14), for we shall each be held accountable for every careless word we have uttered on judgment day, and we shall each be judged as we have judged others, ( Matthew 12:36, Luke 6:37,38), for after death some shall suffer loss and be saved only as through fire, ( 1 Corinthians 3:15), where the spirits of the just are made perfect, ( Hebrews 12:23,24). Peace always in Jesus Christ our Great and Kind God and Savior, He whose Flesh is True food and Blood True drink

      When we die our body will turn to dust and back to the ground and our spirit will go to God, (Ecclesiastes 12:7). When Stephen was getting killed, he said in Acts 7:56 that he saw the Heavens opening and saw the Son of Man (Jesus) sitting at the right hand of God the Father. Jesus is in Heaven. And then Acts 7:59 it says: And they stoned Stephen as he was calling on God and saying, “Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.”
      Acts 7:59 NKJV. He was telling Jesus to receive his spirit to go into Heaven. And in the Bible it says: We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord.
      II Corinthians 5:8 NKJV. Our spirit will be away from the body and with the LORD, and will be present with the LORD. The LORD is in Heaven, and will be conscious. When the second coming event happens then God will put us in a new glorified body. The old body will pass away. And be with Jesus.

    No disembodied souls. We are dead until the resurrection, which will seem immediate after we take our last breath. Paul knew that time was not a factor in the scriptures mentioned here. For example, to live is Christ and to die is gain. Simply means that Paul's next awareness is with Christ. Same with us. If we are already consciously with Christ in heaven, why would be care about a new body? What's the point if I'm already with Christ? We need to stop using time as a reference.

    Heb 9:27-28
    (v.27) Just as man is destined to die once, and after that to face judgment, (v.28) so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many people; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.
    The Bible is clear (v.27) after man dies, judgment, meaning he either goes to heaven or to hell. And on the next verse (v.28), the destiny of man after death is connected to the one-time sacrifice of Christ. So for a Christian to question verse 27 is to question verse 28, which speaks of the one-time sacrificial work of salvation of Christ.
    So to those asking this question, how dare you question the wonderful work of salvation of the Lord! Read your Bible, believe in Christ not on mere men.

    Is there scripture backing up our disembodied soul after death? I certainly believe scripture to be absent from the body (earthly body) is to be present with Jesus. Didn’t John go to heaven and recognize the saints there with Jesus gathered around? And I do believe we get a new glorified body at the rapture. Would like to hear more discussion around present heaven / present earth before the new heaven is joined with the new earth.

      Millions long for life in heaven. Jesus said that his faithful apostles would live there. Before he died, he promised to prepare a place for them with his heavenly Father.-John 14:2. The Bible says exactly how many will rule with Jesus.-Revelation 14:1. Those who are faithful subjects of Jesus’ Kingdom will enjoy life without end in a restored paradise on earth. (John 3:16) Some will enter Paradise by surviving the destruction of the present wicked system of things. Others will enter by resurrection.-Psalm 37:29; John 5:28, 29.

    In an existence outside of space/TIME, it is unclear that we WAIT for the final resurrection. Maybe no 'soul sleep', & no existence w/o a body, just pass from death to resurrected life.
    On the other hand, Jesus seems to have spent some TIME (or some ~activity~ anyway) as spirit/soul between His death & resurrection.

The bible also mentions that we can feel emotions in heaven, and also we will be able to recognize people in heaven because we will still have our memories. Moreover, we will be able to meet new people in heaven too. Also, after their rapture, those in heaven will receive glorified bodies, so in a way, and will be resurrected like Christ was.

In Roman's 3:23 all have sinned.....so the soul not in heaven because it sinned.. in Ecclesiastes 9:5 For the living know that they shall die. But the dead know not anything:. Take Lazarus. He died. He didnt go to heaven. Jesus called him out if the tomb where they place him. Enoch went to heaven. Elijah ent to heaven. It was no soul went there. No where in the bible you will find such teacihing.the only thing goes back to God is his breath he gave us. Tell the truth . Be on God side.

    I don't get this theology right. How can he say that our soul/spirit will go to heaven and our bodies remain on earth? Jesus said in 3:13. Nobody went to heaven but only the son of man who came from heaven. Even Paul said in 1 These 4:16-17. Dead in Christ and we who are alive will meet the Lord in the sky. The trajectory of our body meeting the Lord is going up. Not that if we are in heaven then the bible should say that our soul will go down from heaven and meet the Lord.
    Jesus said to the man besides Him. Today you will be me in Paradise. Not in heaven. Most of theologians say this but they don't fully understand Jesus words.

    • @newparadisenewearth3853
      @newparadisenewearth3853 2 года назад

      Well, it doesn't say souls go to heaven. The bible teaches that the soul and body are one, from dust you are and to dust you return, and once you die you are conscience of nothing. There is no part of you that lives on. However, the memory of you is safe with God and rather then a misty spiritual part of ourselves living on, the Bible says there will be a resurrection. The same way Jesus resurrected people back to life, not in spirit, not in some other version of themselves, but he resurrected Lazarus back just as he was, and as his family and friends remembered him.
      John 11:25 " Jesus said to her: “I am the resurrection and the life.The one who exercises faith in me, even though he dies, will come to life;"
      Jesus when he was first on earth resurrected the dead, and he did many things which was only a small example of what he will do again on a much larger scale in the very near future.

      Keep praying and asking Jesus to come inside your heart. Repent daily and love others. I know it can be hard, but resist the ways of the devil and live of the fruits of the spirit Galatians 5:22-23 "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things, there is no law." If you continue to live for God , you will continue to feel his presence and know that you are going to heaven and spread the gospel to others about how good Jesus is and that He dies on the cross for our sins. I find that when I dont feel like reading the Word, I should read it because we shouldn't operate off of our feelings, but rather God's instruction. Sometimes you don't have to read an entire chapter. Sometimes it can just be a scripture. But make sure you are communicating with our Father daily because God gets all the glory and He wants us to experience His love and blessings. GOD BLESS YOUU!!!❤️❤️❤️

    this is also the teaching of Martin Lloyd Jones. But it actually causes more questions and doubts than it answers. The apostle Paul talks about a spiritual body ……that it grows out of the earthly body which dies in the ground and becomes a more powerful and fulfilling. To Sproul this is the resurrection body (I suppose) but the resurrection body is not a spiritual body it’s a physical body.
    Lloyd Jones tells us that the book of Revelation is not literal until he wants it to be, so that the ‘souls of men’ is literal and so is the new jerusalem literally coming down out of the new heaven to arrive at the new earth. My personal way of handling it is to believe that when we die we go in christ immediately to heaven which is a real place in a real spiritual body, and leave it at that.
