My mum's favourite band from the mid/late 80's! 'Young Heart' taken from the 1987 album 'Excess All Areas'. Band members : Tony Mills (vocals), Steve Harris (guitars), Paddy McKenna (keyboards), Mark Badrick (bass) and Alan Kelly (drums).
Buy it on CD - you won't regret it!! (Well, except me, cos my mum plays it all the time in the car and it's slowly driving me mad!!!)

I found out this treasure of a song a few months ago: it reminds me of riding in the park beyond the Palace of Versailles. Racing again Louis XIV on horseback, riding in the sun alongside the Sun King, this of course took place in another lifetime. One song, just one song by one band, can do this to you.

I saw these at Reading festival 87, they were added to the bill and were incredible. They were the only band I ever saw at the Wardour Street, Marquee club when I was 18; and I did see them another 2 times in London. An amazing band and the Excess All Areas in particular was and still is a classic album

Tony Mills had alot of influence from Geddy Lee from Rush in his singing. Shy and Rush two of the greatest bands linked for ever.
