I feel you! A trick i learned years ago... If it helps.. get a pack of transparency sheets for a laser printer and u can use them in your inkjet printer. Only you print them on the "wrong" side. Make sure they're dry before you mess with them so u don't smudge them. But they rub off (or on, as it were) much easier. I friggin LOATHE rub-ons. But i use the transparency sheets a lot. And if you're careful you can reuse them sometimes. I'm on the same pack i got years ago and i use them quite a bit

Pretty much. You can use clear transparency sheets, too. The ones for a laser jet printer. Only use them in your ink jet printer and print on the "wrong," side. Be careful to let it dry so u don't smudge the ink before you place it.

I have a little acrylic rolling pin from my cake decorating supplies I use and I just roll over it several times. It helps also to make sure your rub ons aren't too cold. If they are kept in a really cold place the image won't lift off very well so it wont transfer and you'll have edges that wont transfer and will just tear off. I try to keep them near my light before I use them just to kind of warm them up like a heat lamp so the image loosens & makes it easier to lift off. I also have little silicone cake decorating tools specifically a little flat edged one that I sometimes use to help with intricate rub ons because it won't hurt them & you can press hard & get into edges without ripping anything. It is a great tool overall and comes in a set of I think 6 or 7 different tools with silicone tips. I even use them to smear my gel pens when coloring with them!

For those who maybe don`t have a cut die machine:
I don`t know where I read this but someone said that it helps to hit the rub-ons with a heat tool which makes them transfer easier and stick better.
    I haven`t tried it but I think it`s worth a try :)

It looks like the outline of the backing sheet debossed onto the white card, but with a adjustment to the shim this would be perfect! And for many purposes it wouldn’t matter because the image is going to be cut out or there will be embellishments on top of the debossed lines.

If your rub on is completely dried out and refuses to transfer use matte medium. Apply it to the back liberally with your finger and burnish firmly but quickly. Don't allow the medium to dry or the acetate will pull the paper up along with your rub on. Grasp the edge of the acetate and pull back slowly. If you see the rub on is still not adhereing reburnish quickly and try again. This works 9 times out of ten. It's a timing thing.
