This video really speaks to me right now. I have just moved across the world for a new life. I wanted to simplify everything, to distill it down to the things that were really important and that felt right. I am learning that life does not have to be fast, complicated, or extremely stressful. It can be slower and more fun! I think in the U.S. especially, I have experienced this cultural norm that your self worth is tied to your work title, your status, how busy you are and your money. Once you let go of this construct it is very freeing.
Hi Helena. These are anointed words today. I tried to think of (and even googled) a synonym for anointed that didn't sound so liturgical, but then I wanted it to sound that way I guess. I'm much older than you (almost twice as old actually) and I have always been taught and believed that we were alive to "make a difference". I would've typed that in all caps if it hadn't looked so weird because that's how deeply I've believed it. When you said we're here to have fun, learn, grow, play (which I know you've said before) it really pierced me to think how I've spent so much of my life force working at being helpful, encouraging and supportive of as many people as I possibly could. Like you, life has always supported me (I would say God was always with me) and I've had many unexpected, magical and miraculous moments but I've still been almost always tired. I'm going to keep watching this video until I get your words driven down deep and strong. and find the place for letting that go. Enjoy your lovely new hometown. Big dreams can be intimidating. But even your biggest goals can be achieved if you break them down into smaller goals. Then take one tiny step after another. And, never stop.
This is so crazy that I’m watching this video at this very moment in my life because I have a huge decision to make with my husband and he had a burn out situation from all the stress that we’ve both had in our lives and him owning a business and now he’s in a treatment program during the day trying to recover from depression and anxiety and he deals with bipolar and we both know deep in our soul that we should close the business sell the house and move down to our condo in Florida But fear is keeping us from doing that because we lose our health insurance and then we both have to try and find jobs down there which I know that’s probably what would happen but then I watch your video and it’s almost like you’re telling me the answer because we haven’t pulled the trigger yet because of fear

Hey Helena, when I discovered your Channel a few month ago I already booked my flight to Corsica with my family and I thought back then, how funny it is that you lived there. Now we are on corsica and I love it, it’s such a special island. ❤ But also this Summer I strongly felt that I wanted to learn how to surf, so we will spend two month in winter on tenerife and hopefully I start to learn how to surf there. 😅 ..so I feel really connected to you and I am greatful to found your inspiring channel 🥰
Your new place looks so cool and cosy.... Could you give us tips to decorate our homes in a zen and positive way? Is renting a house or a flat expensive in this place of France ? Enjoy and have fun... This is why we're on this planet.... Not to become slaves 🌠🌠💐

I have a video on my channel called "how to hygge" and I have some design tips there for making it feel cozy and happy! 💕🤗 This is a rental. Quite cheap and affordable every month! It's 1/3 of what we paid in the USA for monthly rent!

I Love all of your vlogs I listen very carefully to all of them. I do learn a lot even at this age 😊 I have a question you say you move with all of your belongings and I wonder you mean your clothing and personal items or all furniture bedding etc etc?
I'm so happy to hear you enjoy them Joselyn 💕🤗 We bring everything we own! All our clothes, bedding, pillows, I also have 3 lamps I schlep with me everywhere because they bring me joy. Most of my belongings are 1. books and journals (I am very attached to the books and journals, unfortunately) and 2. clothes (as I like variety)! All the rentals we stay in are fully furnished so we own no furniture aside from the few lamps. France is great for finding fully furnished apartment rentals!

The problem with that faith in the universe is that many people have horrible things happen to them from the universe -- natural disasters, wars, random assaults. The people in Ukraine trusted that they were in the right place too, and their homes are being bombed.
