Mayrhofen 2024 - Red 10 from Moslbahn to Larchwald

After repeating the Black 16 and the SkiMovie slalom a couple of times we head back down into the Horberg valley area, following the Red 10. This starts at the top of the Schneekar lift and comes down beside the Gerent chair before it reaches the Moslbahn where we are starting. Alternative here is to take a sharp left out of the top station and follow the Blue 11.
Generally quite a wide piste where we start, however this was mid-afternoon and it was fairly warm so the snow was getting a bit lumpy and heavy.
As we pass under the Gerent chair at 1:15, the run coming in from the left is the Blue 11 we could have taken at the start. From here the Red and Blue are the same, following a road section until about 2:45, where the runs diverge with the red now heading down to the left. The snow was a little better here, nice and wide too, but narrowing down after this. However following this the snow really starts to thin out from about 4:40 and the run becomes flat and very slow with the surface being dirty, requiring a bit of pushing before we come out by the Eisberghutte restaurant at 6:05 and pass under the Schneekar chair then head over to the Larchwald chair to return up to the Penken area.
