So government should regulate morality? 😂
I guarantee you that divorce and single mothers are merely a symptom, not the cause.
Yes, “single mothers” and not “abandoned children”. Until at least the Japanese family court system sees some changes… a lot of the blame can be laid at their feet. Same for the determination of paternity (DNA testing isn’t acknowledged) and lack of enforcement mechanisms. Upon divorce there is no joint child custody and the winning parent may totally cutoff contact with their spouse… and Japanese family courts still heavily lean in favor of mothers. Do some research.

I’ve known lots of couples like this in Japan. They pretty much know their partner is going to cheat they just don’t talk about it. And paid s*x services don’t count as cheating in Japan, from what I’ve heard from many. Doesn’t mean the partner (mostly the woman) approves of it, but “as long as I don’t know” seems to be the common phrase. Don’t ask don’t tell!

Broo why don't you talk to your wife 😭 they always say their relationship is not in a good situation.

So… without knowing the whole story, you assume that the guy is terrible and all at fault? Broo maybe his wife doesn’t want to talk to him (or other stuff). Maybe every time they talk it’s an argument. Maybe all she cares about now is raising the children and him bringing home the paycheck which he turns over to her every month. Maybe she has a boyfriend or frequents host clubs. Or maybe she’s a perfect wife and he’s a scumbag. Who knows, but unless you at least have heard both sides of the story (or have first hand information)… less being judgmental.

I have a few friends (gaijin guys) that have joined it... According to them
    1. Tons of bored/lonely housewives out there
    2. Most are looking for more than mere conversation
    3. Being a gaijin is not a problem.... If you can speak some Japanese.
    4. Being a gentleman, not pushing things on a first date usually is good, but after the first date... He who hesitates is lost
    5. Be prepared for some unusual woman... One friend met a single woman on the site, but she just wanted something light so she figured a married guy is better....
Another woman was 7 months pregnant and basically said, hubby is nice and rich, but now that I have fulfilled my duty as a wife (popping out a brat) I want to have fun..
Basically she was in the meeting phase for a future BF (post popping out the little kid)
    6. 5980 yen a month was bit expensive and worth every yen.

It's an interesting situation and the organization is impressive!!
I'm single, so my opinion doesn't matter very much...but, I think the merit of these apps relies on one critical factor:
_Are both spouses okay with them dating?_
Ultimately, I think that, (for anything) if you feel guilty about telling your husband/wife about it, then it's wrong to do
So, depending on who uses the app, it's either absolutely wonderful, or absolutely terrible 😅

“Marrying and not loving your wife” WTF? Why no comment about wives cheating on their husbands?
Obviously no one marries someone they don’t love. What happens when the wife treats him more like a brother than a romantic partner? What happens when the wife changes to turn her entire attention to child rearing (to the exclusion of the husband)? Remember… Japanese family courts heavily favor mothers, there is no such thing as joint custody in Japan and custodial parents are known to cut off all contact with their ex after divorce.
