  • The entire process of issuing visas for the 95 Libyan nationals, who were recently deported from South Africa, was fraught with irregularities.
Hand-written visas, the lack of proper documentation and no in-person interviews are just some of the procedural problems identified.
The flawed process allowed the men into the country.
This has been revealed by Home Affairs Minister, Dr Leon Schreiber, and his team, which has briefed Parliament's Home Affairs Portfolio Committee on a range of issues.
