You can also add a duplicate of your camera source without the chroma key and put a mask on it to cover the animated part. This will make sure that the chroma key won't mess with your face, for example

I have added some extra sauce to it by using my XSplit Vcam transparency to apply an animation on camera background while using your animated blob as overlay, it just looks rad!

Honestly never thought about using keyed images or video to hide things under transparency layers.
The closest thing I can think of using Plugins is Move Transition and applying a Move Value filter set for Opacity. But this can only really achieve fading in / out of text sources. Nothing quite as sophisticated as wipes like this. Maybe someone smarter than me can figure it out, but I think this method is probably a lot easier than trying to perform jiggery-pokery with Move Transition
Amazing work as usual. This gives me more ideas on how to get rid of the hard cut sides of a green screen. I currently use a mask.

I been working on a custom mask for my webcam, in order to make a shattered glass effect on the actual webcam. I was so shocked when i realized that obs didn't support video files as a mask, this really saved! so now I know I am going to animate it for nothing 🤣

I was sat this morning wondering if I could make my camera more dynamic with an animated mask (I was thinking APNG format) and of course Gael has done it first, and done it better. Amazing stuff.
My thought was around the following:
Animate a cutout to slide into my camera on the side/top/bottom, just a rectangle every 10-20 seconds.
Have a new source that slides into that cutout (with a gap so you can clearly see behind it) and that source contains the latest follower/subscriber etc from an event list, then they both slide back out and camera returns to normal.
I have no idea if that would be possible, but with masking etc I can't see why not? I sadly don't know AE well enough to try it
Could be really interesting if all three cutouts appear at once (space providing) and sub, follow, cheer etc would fill each one

Do you have a tutorial on how to make these? I can't seem to find the right keywords, or the videos don't exist. I'll come right out and admit that I want to learn because I'd like to make money from selling packs of these animated webcam overlay masks.
When i do this @GaelLevel it uses so Much Of my CPU and Causes lag when im Streaming. Is there anyway to fix this Issue?

Great video as always! I did try to run the animated rectangle blob with mask and overlay, but it jacked up my CPU usage by like 10% (using OBS, not SLOBS). I tried to play Fall Guys and it basically shut down the stream when I tried to load it up. Any ideas why this might be happening? I figured out it was the mask and overlay after turning it off and on the next day.

Made them using Adobe After effects
does scene nesting add load to the ram or the cpu?
Not that know of, but hey adding a bunch of animated stuff does so probably best to keep everything stating with a lower end CPU
