If the GAA was like most other sports the great Dublin, Kilkenny/Limerick hurlers would of been broken up, due to salary caps or that there are others teams who are as attractive to play for as yourself who could make offers to your players. Shefflin, cluxton/fitz/McCarthy, Cian lynch etc are all legends but none of them are as impressive as Tom Brady’s 7 super bowls simply due to the structure of the sport.
@@DaisyChesneysGirlfriend I disagree, plenty of people stay at one place for their entire careers. Giggs, Maldini, Totti in football. Kobe Bryan spent 20 years at the lakers. Cluxton has won the same trophy 17 times. Its absolutely extraordinary
@@NC-ck5oj completely missed my point, was talking about the team not an individual yes cluxton might of stayed at Dublin but if the GAA was like the nba/soccer/afl/nfl, that great Dublin team would of had fellas like brogan, Connolly, Fenton, rock, fitzsimons etc leave due to salary cap limitations (look at any young nfl team who wins a Super Bowl/Richmond in the afl) or other teams giving them offers, it would of been hard for cluxton to achieve what he has if that was the case, this is why you can’t compare gaa to other sports, Cluxton is the GOAT of GAA but you wouldn’t say psg winning 17 ligue 1’s in a row is extraordinary, you’d say it was a farmers league and it’s expected,

Its not like the old days where you hang up your boots. Dublin have changed that. Even Kerry's great midfielder Barry is taking 2024 off, that's more what the Dublin players did last year, maybe Cluxton's is a last hurrah but how he came back seemed the Dublin camp always knew what was happening come 2023, for the game and life is so different for players now, you need that break to access your life and do you still have the time and appetite for playing. Obviously they were fit and picked their matches to peak at the final. They'll do the same next year and will know if they'll be part of it by now. There's never any big announcements just the same as when Gavin left, no fuss and the process as they called it went on. Dublin have new players already with All Irelands so it's not now down to the big ones staying or leaving. The same for all other teams for life these days is totally different from the seventies when players went on and on like the great Kerry team. It's different now.
Why are you all talking about the Kerry misses? You'd think Dublin hadn't missed scores. If it was Geaney who hit the crossbar like O'Callagnan you be talking about that, or the other wide in the first and second half by Dublin that were not difficult, but the temperature of the game was so high I've always seen Dublin beat Kerry in the last quarter, faster and fitter, even in this one. Remember last year without the 'old players' coming back It took the last kick of the game, a great point for Kerry with everything riding on it, that game could have went either way. 2024 will be no different because there is Derry, Tyrone, Mayo and it will be the same again, who scores the most at the end. That's the game with lots of mistakes and brilliant scores and good and bad referees so take your pick. Dublin will be there again and Kerry, and the motivation will be the same. To win Sam.
Cheap shot and ignorant. David Clifford scored 3 points (2 from play and one free), brilliant creative play and pass to create the Kerry goal and assisted directly with other points. Dublin forwards King Con, Costello and Kilkenny all failed to score even a single point but of course I accept they are not in the same class as David Clifford. What you think is a David Clifford bad day is actually a very good one by realistic standards.
@@noelk2751 he kicked bad wides down the stretch. Some that should of been converted and some that were wild shots to be taking on in the last mins of an AI final. Lots of pressure on his shoulders but he isn't FOTY.
@@bill8996 it looks liked you haven't been watching inter county football in the past 4/5 years David Clifford doesn't take wild shots he can and has scored points at will from anywhere inside the 50 yard line .he had a rare off day even though he scored 3 points and assisted in 3 more including a magical pass for the goal..... @@noelk2751Dublin backs kept him quiet enough , Clifford is an awesome player and will probably be FOTY , but he was kept quiet on Sunday for his standards , that’s plainly obvious . Really enjoyed listening to the lads all year, pure class, when you live away from home these men are a real gold ❤ DUB
This talk of standard being poor is I’ll founded. The quality of tackling and defending was off the charts
These 2 & joe have been brilliant all year excellent analysis
100% been a great add to OTB this year!
great hearing the Boyz compliment us. Great and fun review
Most interesting and insightful analysis since Sun... great stuff lads
Cluxton has 9 All Irelands and 17 (seventeen!) Leinster championship medals. That seems impossible. One of the most amazing stats in any sport.

Dublin will win next year. For sure some serious young talent whachin this space

Colm basquell was brilliant won the game different class

Will dublin be playing next year 🤔
why was dara moynihan taken off tho
Kerry won't be in allireland final next year
I never heard so much crap talk about who should be footballer of the year .
Jack and Paul are only 27. Kerry will never beat dublin with that team. Con. Cormac. Neil basqell. Fenton Howard etc
Clifford still the best player this year by a mile
He was great against Clare and louth but you can't give it to him based on how he played in the final
He flopped on the biggest stage..
1 point from play vs Tyrone, 2 in the final. He's nowhere near FOTY if you stop the hype
@@tinaj1845derry? Club all Ireland
Yes he definitely was. He won it for Kerry in the semi final. He's a top class player but the Dublin defence was phenomenal it
Mick put just make feel word hard and he lost confidence
Cute Dublin hoors
