Your comment is very backhanded because yeah you’re saying she’s looks gorgeous, but you’re also pointing something out that most of us already knew and didn’t need you, or just about anyone to point out especially in a way to make it seem bad. You can compliment how she looks, without mentioning that she’d had surgery especially since she’s been very open in the past about having gotten surgery. You don’t know need to mention it anymore for her. Also, if you’re gonna make comments like that….maybe you should try showing your own face in your profile picture instead of an anime character. Don’t criticize the way someone looks, if you can’t even have the guts to show what you look like as well.

We live in a miserable society that leaves everyone in this stagnant way of life where only beauty can grant certain opportunities and mobility in life to certain people. It’s why we’ve got a bunch of angry ‘not beautiful enough’ people projecting their anger and venting their frustrations at those that are conventionally beautiful because they get the attention, validation and opportunities they themselves crave.
It’s unfair, but is she really wrong to not capitalize on what she’s got? Wouldn’t anyone that enjoys their looks or the makeup they did do the same thing she did? Made a little video singing to a song showing it? Only difference is the majority that make the exact same content as her get like 200 views on their posts and she didn’t.
Feels like a projection to go for her personality when no one here actually knows her. (Parasocial dynamics and the public face people reveal hardly counts as enough to get a personal read on someone.)
It’s pointing out the obvious that her looks played a part. It’s not a flaw in her personality that this happened.
I hate the conflation of morality or character and how you look.
If you’re beautiful you are vapid or useless. Then there’s others that say pretty privilege makes you seem more trustworthy or likely to get a job. Seems everyone has a belief about how looks play a part in your life.
I just don’t want to be apart of this vicious cycle that repeats over and over. Hate trains, dogpiled and cruel assumptions made about people based on looks. Whether it’s because they are too pretty or not pretty enough.
Marilyn Monroe, Pamela Anderson, Megan fox, Britney Spears, Janet Jackson, Anna Nicole smith…gorgeous women all treated like dog 💩 by the media. Notably Marilyn having any talent or opinion she had laughed at or mocked and treated like an ditzy idiot. Because she looked too good to have anything else going for her.
We truly can’t be kind no matter what. ‘Ugly’ people are erased and ignored and beautiful people are dehumanized and idealized then quickly discarded for the new pretty young thing. Sour grapes, insecurity and jealousy make people put down anyone whether they believe they look better or are angry someone is better looking.
