Your not going to like this…seems like a nozzle issue to me , I’m sure it’s easier for you to source a replacement based on where you are but they are very hard to come by. When you shoot their seems to be not enough gas cycling the whole thing but on the upside cheap replacement part. Bastard probably sold it because once the nozzle goes on these good luck getting a new one
As this was a used gun, first thing is take out the bolt, give it and the nozzle assembly a thorough look through. disassemble it to the individual bits and see if anything is modified/damaged. yes, even if the previous owner never opened it up, in fact... that should still be a reason to open it up lol. as for the over-tightened dust cover adding friction to the bolt, check if there are any bent sections, or if it was even straight in the first place. check the recoil spring too if it's not modified. it honestly looked quite anemic compared to other people's AKX. I suggest getting a BavTac 115% spring or if any of the local airsoft parts makers there has something. Avoid the 130% ones. someone else mentioned weak hammer springs but I doubt that if it's all stock, if we're to believe the previous owner that is. Oh, I would also check the gas tube if something is lodged in there or the tube is bent which would impede the gas rod/bolt when moving forward. Honestly these issues are the first I've heard of on the TM AKM/X platform. If left stock, it shouldn't have any issues that affect functions. If anything, us AKM/X owners end up introducing issues to the platform whenever we mess around the insides lol. hope you fix it soon, also I'm surprised you got another GBBR so soon!
@@poisondwarf70 - Nah, they are completely different. In fact, you can put a variable nozzle into an mws, but you can't do it with a tm akm and I'm pretty sure the same goes for the akx as well.
So my GHK AK did have the Same problem with the bolt not going into battery, (using standard hop up) when I replaced the hop up and filed down some piece of the magazine it ran smoothly and still does to this day Hope this helps :) Edit: btw according to my understanding plastic Ak mags have a lot more problems with the bolt compared to the steel/metal ones. Also another thing to keep in mind is when dry firing AK mags the most rifles tend to stop after the first round, If you put BB's in it, it'll run just fine ;)
If I was you and I couldnt return it to seller, I would try to test by hand to feel the spot the bolt stops traveling. And if I felt something like a bump or whateever, I would file the spot down with some sandpaper. Also...130 dollars for 2 mags? That's insane! Congrats to the cameraman girlfriend for her steady shots and patience!😅😅
OKAY SO my GF literally approved the sale by accident so I can't return it anymore lol. But also the SINGLE BAKELITE MAG WAS 130 DOLLARS LOL. Also, after some continued use, it seems to be working for the most part, it might've just been lack of use sitting on his shelf for a while and no cleaning
@@MaydaysanAirsoft If you did not get the mag, you'd never stop thinking about it. So the money is worth the relief, besides, from your photo post - looks legit, better than the fakelite mag mods imo.
If some help is still needed I can take some pics of mine if you want, so you can see if anything looks different or out of place. Mine has been chugging on for almost a year now with no issues. I'd say as a first step give it a big clean again along with some some disassembly down to the dry fire mechanism. It might be that the spring was damaged and isn't keeping the button in place.
@@MaydaysanAirsoft pov never rlly mattered to me but yes the pov vids. i just liked seeing your first reactions to a gun cuz thats honestly the thing i look the most forward to when i personally unbox a gun too :D
Ok, so I have a suspicion on what's going on, and it might take a bit of reassembly of your upper. So the dryfire switch sometimes malfunctions and causes the gun to cycle/not cycle when its engaged (and vice versa), I would recommend you try disassembling your upper to get to the barrel/hop unit and check if any if the parts there are loose/worn because thats where the dryfire switch is located. I can't say for sure if that's the cause of your problem, but based on the way your gun works sometimes and not consistently, thats my first suspicion. I can't guarantee thats the answer because the switch only causes function issues when the magazine isn't loaded, but who knows what the previous owner did to the gun, maybe the hop bucking was installed sloppily and may have caused an issue up there.
also the Bakelite mags are sick, but considering I don't have a full set of 6 spare mags yet, i cant bring myself to buy one. I'm using the AKM mags right now and damn do I hate loading them.
I have the AKX too an it's seems the dryfire switch is loose on mine too an has caused me to think it may be broken, possibly strip it down like @SadLifeGames says may help
The Bakelite style mag is 540g vs the steel style ver at 519. The grey version is 590 so yeah it’s a tad bit lighter but the old stamped akm mags are considerably lighter.
@@MaydaysanAirsoft damn it sucks that you got sold a lemon tho. I wonder what it could be. It almost sounds like the hammer isn’t hitting the valve. Like the lock mechanism is tripping while you shoot it. I’ve had my akx since it came out and been running it regularly. Have no real issues with it.
I had no such issue with the AKM, even tho I've yet to clean it after around 4 months with at least 2 games per month. Very strange issue... Looks like either it doesn't go back far enough, so it doesn't properly reset the trigger, or doesn't go far enough forward to be in battery, hence the dead trigger.
