For easyweed eco stretch it can be used for polyester rayon and spandex right? And what should the temp be for heatpress bc it says 250 degrees on website but that seems way low .. and how long ?also in a cricut should it be iron on or vinyl? Thank you!
I am not familiar with eco stretch, or the 250 degree temp recommendation for stretch. Stretch applies to 100% cotton • 100% uncoated polyester • poly/cotton blends • Lycra®/spandex • Leather. And application instructions are: Time: 20 Seconds • Temperature: 320° F / 160° C • Pressure: Very Firm • Peel: HOT or COLD
My question is regarding Reflective heat transfer sheet. The problem is once its washed, looks like the print is loosing its reflective ability (NOT peeling off, print area is intact still) Is it due to washing conditions or it isn't pressed properly? I think I press it like 3 to 5 sec, should I press for 10-15 sec to avoid it? Or its just due to wash and I need to take care douring wash?
Check the application settings are accurate for the reflective htv. Application settings are listed on the product page. Extend the life of any design by hang drying items.
In theory you are correct. Stretch is a premium line. The push back is the color selection is less then half of what normal Easyweed has. So classic does have a big advantage there
Hello, i am a total noob to this. Can i cut a shape (like a skull) i want with an xacto knife and then iron on a fabric using a normal iron that has only fabric indications (nylon, silk etc)
@@SpeedyVinyl thanx a lot! I used some and it is really great, as far normal iron, i set it on nylon or silk and press it 2 or 3 times depending on edges and how firm they look. Love it
Great video and very helpful, I am new to your channel liked and subscribed, thank you for taking your viewers time in consideration by getting straight to the point.
I had a problem with design pulling up when trying to pull carrier sheet, and design pulling up after wash. Using a new heat press, 305 degrees, 15 seconds. Does it hurt to press it for 20-30 seconds? I am using a Teflon sheet on top as well. Can I use stretch on regular cotton tees, 50/50 blends, and triblends? as well as all the performace wear. That way I don't have to stock easyweed and stretch.
Going longer can do more harm then good. I would suggest getting a infrared thermometer and checking your heat. You can also turn your press up to 315 and see if that helps. Make sure you are using medium pressure as well. Thanks for the comments, and good luck with your designs! Austin
I know this is an old video, but I hope you or someone can answer my question! I will be putting a design on a 100% polyester PGA Tour shirt - which Easyweed do you recommend? Thank you!
@@SpeedyVinyl After further looking, I think the shirt might be coated and not uncoated? I have read that Siser Easyweed stretch needs to be used on uncoated polyester - but the shirt when I look up the description says "This golf shirt is finished with SunFlux UPF 50 protection to block harmful UV rays and help prevent stinging sunburns." Any thoughts on this, or suggestions?
I've used easyweed exclusively with no problems but pressed 2 shirts with stretch and both shirts designs peeled off in the wash. Any idea what could have happened
I went to a vinyl shop in my home town and she told me that the stretch peels due to not having enough pressure. So because I'm starting off with a cricut heat press, she suggested the regular easyweed.
How can you tell the difference between the regular easy weed and easy weed stretch? Ihave the same color, same size sheets, and they look the same - how can you tell between the two? 😳
It was difficult with the 20x24” sheets to tell just by shaking them, so I did a “pull/stretch/break test”. How? Well I used a weeding tool and pulled on a tiny piece of one corner of each HTV. The stretch- stretched better than the regular HTV before it broke! 😊👍🏻
I have both easyweed and easyweed stretch...but the labels fell off...how do I tell the difference between the two?

Why would you use the normal stuff instead of the stretch? It seems like the stretch is just better overall?

@@SpeedyVinyl Ahhhh good point. Okay thank you!
@@SpeedyVinyl Is there a major price difference?
Do y'all sell puff vinyl or do plastisol transfers
can I use stretch for regular shirts to make it feel lighter on the shirt?
Definitely, I only use stretch on all cottons and poly.

You could do it by hand. That is the way it used to be done honestly

Can stretch be layered?
Please help what is the difference between easy weed htv and easy weed adhesive heat transfer vinyl

Is the easyweed cut flat side up?
Hey can I use regular easy weed on 95% cotton and 5% spandex and if yes is there any different heat settings ?/
I like the video bud, straight and to the point. New subscriber just for this fact. Thanks bud, where ya from? Im in WV now
Thanks! We are located in Fountain, CO. If your ever in the area stop by the shop
Will the stretch vinyl work on the side of socks above the ankle? Or will it stretch and crack?
Hi. It would stretch to a point

I do 325/15 seconds

Thank you so much!

Thank you for the explanation!
please just jump into the differences between the two materials and application uses. Not how many colors are available.
He did do that, stating that stretch has a more flat appearance and used for more busty women or maybe those involved in sports of some type.
Is there a major price differnce between them?
Definitely. Stretch has a much lighter feel to it but Easyweed has more color options
Which is more durable?
Honestly they are both about the same. Both are going to last a long time if pressed correctly and cared for
I've used easyweed exclusively with no problems but pressed 2 shirts with stretch and both shirts designs peeled off in the wash. Any idea what could have happened
It could be a temp issue. Make sure you press at 305 for 10 to 15 seconds at medium pressure.
Same with me.
Same with me and I used the right temp and pressure setting.
Sometimes when you press something with uneven heat, it happens. Did you all use a iron? I press for 30 sec and my temp is a little higher than 305

The best way to tell is to pick the both up and kind of shake them. The stretch is much more flimsy. More like a cellophane type feel to it.

Brian Lofton that’s a hell of an idea. Good job. Never thought about do that before. Thanks for sharing! 😀
So is regular easyweed okay for T-shirt’s?
Yeah absolutely. You can use Easyweed on everything you would stretch. It's more preferential then anything to the user
Hello - enjoyed the video.
Use it with easyweed
I mean can I use it with easyweed
just subbed and I see that subaru logo back there ;)
Thanks for the info but you said "ummm" 62 times in that video.... I counted
😂 hahaha
and UM you have that amount of time to be counting? LOL
You have to try and stop saying Ummm so much, it is giving me anxiety. Sorry. I couldn't watch all the video.
I started it over and counted. He said "umm" 62 times in this video
