True but most serious mineral collectors in the USA really frown on saw cuts on their specimens. Ive had a really tough time selling fluorite specimens that were awesome but they had saw cut backs. Once I took the rock trimmer to the backs and made it look natural again they sell like hot cakes so I see these as a must for mineral dealers, minerals.. Zuber makes a really great trimmer, they are pricy but worth it if you dont wanna make your own
ummmmm do be afraid and on edge when trimming a specimen as any damage you do via improper and rushed trimming hurts the minerals value and aesthetics massively, one section of damage can easily take over half of a pieces worth away.
