Why not a piece of 5x25 between the top two legs to hold in place?
I’m sure you considered it, I’m just wondering as to your logic?

I thought 💭about that but I wanted to be able to adjust the legs as the tyres wear down and with the feet been slim I can kick them down closer to embers if needed
