Because hackles like to turn on you when using a gsp thread especially.. Gluing them on helps Them to sit exactly how i want Them to.. no twisty turny feathers on my flies! 😅😅😅

Why do you use UV resin to always 'tie in' the hackles on your flies?
I was thinking the same thing. Maybe to secure the eyes but hackle? Anyway nice bait fish fly.

Fly tying video are much better when they are filmed from the other side in the tiers perspective.
