Haha thanks a lot! 😊🙏🏼 Well I have love/hate relationship with deer hair 😅 I have worked a lot with it! 😅 Also have asked advice and trying to learn new techniques all the time👌👍
Most of my fishing happens on a large canal in Central Europe, so I have spent a good amount of time watching gobies zapping around between the rocks in the shallows. I was shocked to see how spot on the swimming action on the deer hair version is!
Thanks mate! 😊💪 Yeah it’s not the easiest or fastest pattern to tie but in this one I was looking to create a realistic sculpin pattern which also swims like real one 😅🤘
Thanks mate! Yeah it’s not the easiest pattern to tie.. 😅 But it’s worth the effort! 👍 Wool head version is much quicker to tie! And you can tie a simpler version if you want (only one color to deer hair head, leave out marabou back fin etc.). I wanted to create my own version of sculpin and make it semi-realistic (Movement & look) and that’s why you have to put some extra work on it! 😅👌
If I remember correctly it was a Future Fly hen saddle. But it doesn’t really matter what brand you use if the saddle is a good quality and the hackles are long enough 👍👌
@Mike Enger Yeah the wool head version is little heavier than deer hair version but both are quite heavy. I normally use 7wt rod with them 👍 And floating line or inter line. Yeah I really like the swim action too! 💪
😅😂 Yeah that’s why you have to tie bunch of these 😉😂😂 With this pattern I caught 62cm marble trout from Italy last spring so these definitely works! Hard work pays off for sure 😅
If youre getting this type of swimming motion in a sink, I'm 150% in. Wtg, love it.
Thanks mate! 😊💪 I caught my PB marble trout (62cm) with this pattern 💪
THIS RIGHT HERE 🔥 IS WHAT IVE BEEN SEARCHING FOR
Very realistic, great work, perfect swimming motion.
Thank's for showing!
Thanks mate! Happy you liked it! 💪👊🏻
Beautiful tie. It will hurt a little to lose one of these. LOL!
Thanks man! 😊💪👊🏻 And yeah.. it hurt a lot 😅😅😅👍
Kick ass video and sculpin pattern !!! Awesome video, thanks so much for sharing!!
Awesome ! If I had that fly I’d shadowbox it and hang it on my wall, I couldn’t bear to lose it. Thank you for sharing your artistry.
Happy to hear you like it! Thanks a lot Doug! 😊💪👊🏻
I always thought I was pretty decent at tying, until I started watching these deer hair artists. Great looking fly man!

Nice to hear mate! 😊💪💯👌
Nice tie man going to give this one a try this morning . Cheers
Awesome! Let me know how it went! Tight lines and merry Xmas! 💪👊🏻
Elaborate but very nice. Love the details, like the belly and the eyes.
Thanks mate! 😊💪 Yeah it’s not the easiest or fastest pattern to tie but in this one I was looking to create a realistic sculpin pattern which also swims like real one 😅🤘
very nice ! congratulations!
Thanks mate! Happy that you like it! 😊💪
Great video
Thanks man! 😊💪👊🏻🤝
Great job and very nice looking tie!!! Not sure I have the patience for all that work but it looks great.
Thanks mate! 💪 Yeah it’s not the simplest pattern to tie but the outcome is rewarding 👍
Muy buen trabajo, enhorabuena
Thanks mate! 💪👊🏻
Oh my, what a work... Great job though!🤟🏻

Great pattern, well tied. Got my sub. Give me more great ones like this
Thanks mate! I try my best to deliver! 🤘
What Hen saddle do you use in this video? Is it whiting, herbert miner or any other? Many thanks.
If I remember correctly it was a Future Fly hen saddle. But it doesn’t really matter what brand you use if the saddle is a good quality and the hackles are long enough 👍👌
This looks like a very heavy fly. What rod and line do you recommend to fish this fly? Swim action is spot on.
@Mike Enger Yeah the wool head version is little heavier than deer hair version but both are quite heavy. I normally use 7wt rod with them 👍 And floating line or inter line. Yeah I really like the swim action too! 💪
Suggestion: ditch the loud geetar bangin’ noise. You’re trying to make an instructional video.
2 hours of work and lost the deer head version to a log or rock under water on my 2nd cast =*(

Fot my sub, great pattern! what's that Brown hackle hen o rooster?
@Marek Bosak you can find the material list from description 👌👍 It’s hen saddle 👍 Happy that you liked the pattern and video! Tight lines mate! 🎣👊🏻

Thanks to you! Keep on rocking! 💪🤘
You guys sound great! Awesome music choice by the creator with a great looking pattern!
could I use flat braid/perl instead of crystal flash? the instructions said cut from the hook point... he meant to say cut from the hook "eye" up!
Sure!
