very well done, with the editing ,photos, and most of all the music. the spirit of the rock will be with you forever. you are lucky to have this experience.
Good memories of a time spent there 12 years back. A truly wonderful spiritual place. And no....I couldnt ignore those signs and climb but did walk around the base as local custodians suggested. Uluru does have power!
John Williamson's presentation of the rock is just superb, an inspiration to anyone to visit this amazing sight. I just returned from my fourth visit to the rock, it is still as awesome as it ever was and it won't be my last trip. There is just one detail that bothers me, previously I did stay at the Mutitjulu Pub, nice place, a pool table, XXXX on the tap, cockroaches in the bed room, just beautiful, just Australian, very very beautiful. On this trip I had to stay in the "Outback Pioneer Hotel", terrible, the first question they asked me was "which country do you come from", ignorant as I am I said, Australia, this was obviously the wrong answer and it went downhills from there on. If you plan to visit the rock, stay at the "Curtain Springs Station", it is Australian and you will like it.
I just like to thank u John for ur music I'm Australian 5gen an the story's manna told me about the old days .an ur music is every thing u sin thanks m8
@Kburgboy Take the complete walk around the base which the custodians are happy about you doing and in fact take guided tours or leave you to go it alone. You will never forget it!
This is the spirit of ' Uluru statement' The Voice is the only and one - make us reconcile and go forward. I have winessed when Cathy Freeman won the 400 at the Sydney 2000 Olympics. We have another girl- called Ash Gardiner- I was accused as a match fixer, when I went to see her, at North Sydney Oval. Cricket Australia should apologise, other wise etc ...
I'm glad many people got to climb it before that nonsense came in where we are forced to believe in Aborginal stories, one being that it's disrespectful to climb a rock...lol Lets face it most aboriginals act more white in their ways than acting in their old ways, except for sitting around under trees of course; but they're well assimilated into white culture with their grog drinking, womanizing and punching or breaking something when they disagree or can't get their way.
@Kburgboy Hell, they're not even that happy about people going NEAR the damn thing. Amongst themselves, only the higher up priest-equivalents are meant to do that.
you cant blame tourists for lack of respect, they dont know any different, blame the authorities for allowing it. i thought that they had banned climbing the rock, not sure, but it is a beutiful part of our country, and i am proud to show it to the world.but with respect.
Thats a fair point I guess, I just get sick of seeing it that is all, Am damn glad my mobs area is not (for the most part) a high tourist priority though :-)
Love this song as I have been at Uluru when it was pouring rain I do prefer John Williamson and Warren Williams version though I am amazed that although traditional landholders have a huge sign saying we prefer that, as a guest on Aṉangu land, you will choose to respect our law, spirituality and culture by not climbing That you found it in your hearts to mount this sacred site thumbs down for this.
So here is the problem Australia...A beautiful song that talks of and about this country..Mallee boy is quintessentially the spirit of Australia...but after the years since True Blue was released what have we become????? Sadly city centric, selfish, gutless...Cmon Aussie lets take back the spirit of Aus...Don't blame...Do
You have to climb it, it would be disrespectful to the majesty of this beautiful country if you didn't! It will probably be banned sooner or later, as it should be, but while you have the opportunity don't waste it!
When did you go to Ayers rock? How did you take photos there without a thousand Chinese and South Koreans in it? $25 dollars each to walk around the "rock" after spending thousands on fuel and parts for my ute. The Olgas are MUCH better.

No one has any greater appreciation for Australia than John Williamson. This song captures the beauty of our land
Thank you John for this beautiful song and for your respect to our great indigenous people!
I have travelled all over but haven't got to the rock yet ! Love this country so much.....
Doesn't get any more Australian than this. A great tribute to Aboriginal people, and the beautiful land that we all share.
Always was always will be but I'm honoured to share this beautiful land with our first nations people.
In memory of my sister who finally got to tick this mesmerising place off of her bucket list before she passed on. 🙏 R.I.P. 🙏💖
One of my favourite songs of ALL time

~ Just being there would be very emotional, I imagine you must hear the silence also. Take care ~
Yes, Creation is good. The Lord is great!

@Kburgboy Take the complete walk around the base which the custodians are happy about you doing and in fact take guided tours or leave you to go it alone. You will never forget it!
Fantastic song...
Is it kosher to be climbing on the rock? I thought local custom was to leave it alone....
You are climbing it what a Discrace
So glad I climbed it before the ban
Great song

LOVE AYERS ROCK
Ayers is the REAL name thankyou for saying it.
Called Uluru...so don't be disrespectful
Dont know why but this song reminds me of John Denver but Aussie version
Love it....
@Kburgboy
Hell, they're not even that happy about people going NEAR the damn thing. Amongst themselves, only the higher up priest-equivalents are meant to do that.
❤️

As an Aboriginal descendant it's actually very disrespectful to climb the rock Steve Irwin knew that too but they do it anyway
they have taken back control and it is no longer acceptable in any form to climb the rock :)
Hazel Allen yay
Those Sunnyvale lads and lasses had sex on it hella disrespectful
Let's be honest, tourists climbing the rock is the least of the aboriginals problems. It's drugs and alcohol.
TALK AB FUNNY, ALL YOU DO IS CLICK BACK AND FORWARD TO BE RID OF ADS THEY PAY U DONT SEE THEM COOL LOVE IT,
love
Thats a fair point I guess, I just get sick of seeing it that is all, Am damn glad my mobs area is not (for the most part) a high tourist priority though :-)
WELL DONE
Such incredibly disrespectful people, ignoring the signs asking people not to climb the Rock. Pathetic and shameful, BarbGibbo.
Crikey! that looked like Tom Vana!
They're standing on the rock! Don't they respect Ananu requests not to stand on their sacred sights? Wtf.
Love this song as I have been at Uluru when it was pouring rain
I do prefer John Williamson and Warren Williams version though

Can you? Even tourists need to show some respect for the people of the country they visit.
You have to climb it, it would be disrespectful to the majesty of this beautiful country if you didn't! It will probably be banned sooner or later, as it should be, but while you have the opportunity don't waste it!

I'd rather go to the katajuta national park but it'd be nice to see both
We went early morning.... only one other person there...
great pics, pity you have no actual respect for the rock or the local owners though :-(
Uluru- Money spinner, that is all. Didn't learn a thing about indigenous culture as they wouldn't share shit, its all sacred....
Well they changed the words of this song... three specific aboriginal recognition changes
It's not a rock but more like a tree stump!
what?why
Out of respect for the Traditional Owners climbing the Rock will be banned from 2020!
"Owners"
@@eclipsez0r Yes 'Owners'! It is managed in conjunction with the National Parks and Wildlife Service! Royalties are paid to the Traditional Owners!
@@allananderson1906 So we own England then? Can we have England for English people?
But I can't repatriate to there either....

+Ben Cunningham Yeah mate
unfortunately its a world problem, gentrification of districts, money, money,money- makes me glad I skint. still, a beautiful song-1 of my best top 5 ever x
Ben Cunningham well said my man. We've become a nation of immigrants who don't give a shit about the Australia I care about.
ben n momentum, never hate your country. you have the best immigration system in the world. I from England n due to Europe we r flooded w/ 'asylum seekers' b proud to call yourselves Aussies-beautiful country, beautiful song-peace out
ps, just remember you've always been a country of immigrants
