This is awesome to see. Even making enough to go out to dinner once and a blue moon would be perfect for me, but it’s nice to see the opportunities that are there
It's something I gotta improve on! This video was made from last year and although I made a similar amount of $ selling beats this year, I neglected Spotify/streaming platforms a bit. I only made about $550 from streaming platforms this year but I barely posted anything. In 2024 I'll be focused more on regular releases and collaborations which I'm sure will push that number further.
I'd rather work 100 hours a week for myself making minimum wage doing something I loved rather than making good money doing something I hate. I worked enough shitty jobs for this life.
I have been a musician for 15 years and a music producer for about 6. I absolutely am terrible at marketing and uploading and connecting. I can write and play music like breathing air. Social media was never easy for me. I have made sbout 15 to 30 sales in that amount of time. I keep grinding, working, connecting, and staying in the studio with other producers. I know that one day, with determination and analytics, I will prevail!
Social media is definitely a grind!! Congrats on the sales you've made so far though! Biggest thing for me has been to set up a consistent workflow when it comes to posting online that doesn't require much time spent thinking of what to post - like my RUclips uploads follow a similar formula, my IG posts follow a similar formula, etc. so I can just dive in and make content instead of spending time wondering what to do, if that makes sense!

fuck yea
You seem to have decent Spotify numbers as well, does this bring in an okay amount of money each month?
