Oh, major kudos there!

Casey's wife- "your cheating on me?!"
Casey- "i have a life, I drive my car, what are you gonna hate me? WHAT UP"
Honestly the wing really sets it apart in my mind from other vipers. Love that look
Type_S_Tyler thank you
@@CaseyPutsch love the wing as well
I like it especially as a lineage piece. It really confirms the Viper is the SRT4’s daddy.
That and the balance of white between the stripes and the wheels just brings everything together nicely
Type_S_Tyler yes keep the wing!
Casey "what do you want from me" Putsch 😁
L8 APEX exactly! :D
Flak Jack What are you saying? also he's a Millennial, he was born in 88 wich was the first year of that generation.
I thought a super casual and honest review of the infamous Viper GTS would be a welcome video for young people looking to have and drive wild cars in the future. Check your trolls at the door and let's have some fun!
You have more than just young people watching. I'm 50, & enjoy watching your videos!
Thank you. I was really worried about this one.
I love my RT10! Great video 👍
I thought it was pretty funny.
@@CaseyPutsch ah who cares what the haters think you got a Viper and a freakin Bat-mobile!
"If I put myself in a position where an airbag has to save me, I'm a horrible driver" - Thank you! I think this may be my new life motto
you know the saying "watch out for the other guy" well that applies here hahaha TRue
If you didn't know, viper uses same as 3000GT/Stealth mirrors. Maybe you can adapt a power mirror and install a switch somewhere. (even defrost available hehe)
I have a 92 VR-4 and I honestly never noticed until you said this that the Viper uses our mirrors, but you're absolutely right! I'd definitely love to see someone throw the power/defrost mirror from a 3kGT or Stealth into a Viper.
Taj Jacobs the Diablo uses headlights from Z32 300zx as well
lol the gen 2's have always been my favorite car but I never knew this
aww yes the good ol vr4 and stealth rt turbo
I have had a 96 GTS for over ten years and never knew this or even noticed until reading your comment!
Everyone loves Doug Demuors reviews, but Casey could give him a run for his money with this style of review this is much more entertaining
Levi Hutchison yeah.... not everybody. Thanks though!
Doug isn’t even a car guy. He just likes cars. There is a huge difference
I disagree. Doug is out of touch with some of the cars he reviews. He has no clue when he reviews anything offroad like Jeep. Sorry, but just cant stand him and his sense of humour
true. Better than Doug
Doug is a very wealthy man from making mainstream car reviews that wives watch and say oh how cool is this and that... I personally can't stand him. He seems like a total douche and how he tries to force comedy is just silly. It clearly worked for him, me being a female that has been around cars and building and tuning my whole life (dad owns a very well known shop in Florida.. We are known for 2j builds and RB and SR builds.) What i have watched of him showd a very lame amount of forced comedy and very little understanding of the cars he is presenting.
Great video, and I love the attitude “hey it’s my car and I like it, if you don’t who cares?” Perfect
Love my Vette. It sees 8-10 track days a year, daycare kiddo drop off/pu, road trips and groceries in January (Wisconsin).
The less I care about my car, the more I love it.
A daily Vette haha only in america haha grats brother
To be completely honest, anyone hating on that wing is handicapped bro.. That wing is freakin beautiful on this car. It completely sets it apart from all other Vipers I’ve seen. It’s the first thing that caught my attention on the thumbnail.! It’s GORGEOUS BRO.!!! YOU ARE SOOOO LUCKY SIR.!!!!
In my eyes, the greatest cars ever made. Not a single aspect isn’t stunning for me.
Love that you daily this thing, really a timeless car. 'Murica.
RennPlus murica!
honestly I think it goes a bit beyond timeless they look better the more time that passes.
I think those are the perfect wheels for that car. Completes the ensemble!
The white blue is the first viper 99% of the people saw in real life of as model. It helps with the look like it belongs like this
It’s a very nice car but the rims have to go nothing beats the stock rims
Your carbon fiber canards remind me of platypus feet. We all like platypuses
Great Video! I'm a long time car lover and finally bought my Gen1 a coupe of months ago...it is #47 for me. :-) I am churching things up and its hilarious that you mention extensive work in a 2-car garage at your condo. I'm in a 2-car garage at my condo and replaced about half of the fiberglass in the entire center section of the hood, last week. Wish I could post pics of my temporary spray booth. Ha! I love these early Vipers, because nothing is hidden from you.....you get to feel and manage every aspect of the driving experience. Thanks for taking the time to put these videos together. ...back to block sanding, ugh. -Jason (USAF ret)
Casey, thank you for your honest assessment of your Viper and telling car owners their cars are meant to be driven.
I love the Hennessy wing. Mad respect for rocking it!!
Bobby Brown Thanks!
Great vid! This channel is going to grow. You're my favorite of all of Ed's guests.
details78 thank you!
i was born in 89 and since i was 7 this exact viper and your bat mobile have been my all time most favorite vehicles ever!!!
Appreciate you and all that you do. NAmaste!
My buddy has one he daily drives - 2007 coupe iirc. He had the radiator go at 130,000 miles as a heads up.
It is far better as a daily driver than I would have suspected. It not only makes sense getting through traffic, but if you and another car come to a corner, doesn't matter, they let the Viper through first.
No Vipers were made in 2007. 06 was the last year for the Gen3 then in 08 the Gen4 came out from 08-10.
@@ViperSRTnACR I just asked, and it is a 2006. You're correct.

Thanks so much for doing a down to earth Viper review 👍🏻 I realized watching this review I really need to drive and enjoy my 98 GTS much more
charlie ryan you do!
Casey Putsch thanks for replying Casey love your attitude wish you all the best 👍🏻
First saw this fella over at VINwiki, love the guy. he is just everywhere and nowhere at once. haha. Stories are amazing. Thanks for the VIper review i always wondered how those beast held up over time. =)

Hey Casey don't worry so much we all love your car, its the reason why we all watch your videos b/c we AGREE with you. Love the viper and genuis garage, hopefully I can work there with you one day :)
That means a lot, thank you for saying that. I've gone through a lot of tough things in my past and being public with these things does make me nervous from time to time. Cheers!
My local parts store guy has a viper, but he never drives the damn thing. So cool to see somebody that actually drives their cool cars. Also, I really dig the wing. I think oem and well done wings that look like they could come from the factory look good.
The Viper has been my dream car since I was a kid I cannot wait to own one some day soon. I love to see that you drive this thing and that you’re from Ohio. I am also from Ohio, actually not to far from Nelson Ledges, where you first saw the car. Like you I hope to own a Viper someday, not just to say I have one, but to actually drive it because that’s what it’s meant to do. Watching videos about guys who have owned gen 1&2 Vipers has really helped prepare me for what to expect when it comes to owning this car and whether or not my limited mechanic abilities are capable of handling any fixes to the car that it may one day need. I really appreciate Viper owners sharing their experiences with their cars so that I can see what the common issues are, what’s normal wear and tear, and what’s stock/aftermarket etc. It’s encouraging to see that yours has such high miles on it (not to mention it survived a crash) and it’s still going strong. So please keep giving updates on your Viper!
Gr8 video, I could list one after another things I loved about it, but that would be a very long comment. Awesome personality & loved the way you threw in lots of little zingers. I'm 53 & I've been researching the Viper, as I only own manual cars & this has always been one of my favorites!!! Thanks😁
My favorite car of all time, that wing and front spoilers look great on it.
It's really great to see it actually being used and not just wasting away in some show room.
I think the Viper's a car that needs to be used and enjoyed :)
Really digging your videos man, it's a refreshing change.
“Is this making good RUclips? BEGONE BEE” nowhere else on RUclips can you find content this pristine. Keep it up Casey 😂
Louis Randolph awesome!!! Glad you like the real.
During my bachelor party in Las Vegas 2006 my buddies rented me a solid red 02 Viper GTS for a day. I owned an S2000 at the time and the immediate, brutal amount of torque on tap at all times was intoxicating. Hope to get a chance to add one to my stable some day. Yet another great video Casey!!!😂😂😂
The licence plate is awesome! Great video man
It's your car, you built it for you, and not the world. Love the car, it's all you!
Hey man.Thank you for taking us for a walkaround.Love the Vipers..and yours looks killer.I have to say i love that rear wing.Actually.Looks aawesome.Im abit biased as i do have a car with a huge rear wing myself..the Ford Sierra Rs Cosworth(the "whale tail Sierra ".so i definetly know my wings :) Greetings from Norway ,Stefan
fuckinlowdowndrummer great car you have and thank you Stefan! Honored to have you here.
@@CaseyPutsch Thank you so much mister.I apreaciate your kind words so much.Love the content that you bring to the table..so im an avid viewer of your videos..but i cant comment on all of em,as that would just be stupid (Laughs)..so..but anyways.Very nice videos..and again..thank you so much for coming back to me.Greetings from Norway, the land of the Vikings :) Stefan
Great car Casey! Love seeing it at cars and coffee. A GTS will hopefully be my Corvette replacement. I have my eyes out for one!
On my list of top 5 cars I always wanted. 96+GTS Blue with white stripes. I imagined white wheels on one when in college 20 plus years ago. Now my dream is a reality in your videos 😂
I ran into the same tire issue on my mr2. Even moving to aftermarket wheels it is hard to find ones that have tires available, fit, and have the right stagger. Luckily I came across some old wheels from a decent brand on ebay with the exact right offset and acceptable stagger that already had usable tires on them with new ones available. The finish is messed up but there isn't any non-cosmetic damage and they were cheaper than new tires alone.
I have always loved these from when i was a kid. I even have a 1/1 scale 96 B/W in my garage.
I'm 44 and I enjoy your topics and honest presentation. I like your style and your Viper is kickass. We disagree on the gun topic but because we relate on so many others, I'll give it a pass. Keep the spirit and thanks for sharing. Subscribed!
DJ Scott sorry about the comment. I respect all our amendments and your right to carry.
I like your attitude about the car. I totally agree. I have a 2000 GTS and love it, but it not without its quirks but it’s a unique car. I love that yours isn’t a garage queen. I like the shift knob, not a fan of my OEM massive ball on mine, what exactly do to make it a short shifter and I couldn’t find a shift knob like the one you bought on Jegs, I flew fighters in the military so glad you got a ride, it was a great life. Thanks for the channel!
That viper was one of the first cars I ever really like LOVED as a kid. I loved that it was called viper. I loved the look. Still do. I’m such a Toyota guy but gosh... viper is something want to own before I die
Casey: 'What do you want from me? C'mon."
Us: Your cars Casey, we want your cars..
Great car. Great vid. These cars are bulletproof. I've put over 200,000 miles on my 98 RT/10. Buy 'em to drive 'em.
Great video...love the car... beautiful camera work by the way
Liked before I watched great vid man keep it up
“Feeling all Chachi”. Most wont get that but spot my drink out when you said it.
Awesome!
The more videos I watch the more I appreciate your channel and the way you present things. It is very much real world like
All the little real life things issues, and outlook is appreciated
glad I found this after watching the petrolicious video. needed more thanks for the video
My buddy used to have a '99 All Black/Connolly GTS. Two huge chrome n2o tanks in the hatch & LM Goodyear slicks on the stock rear wheels. That car succumbed to an engine fire & he rebuilt it with a T91 single turbo setup. His family had dozens of Vipers over the years, but that one was my fave.
Love the car. I've been wanting a Viper since i was 8 years old and one day i'm getting one. This kind of attitude is exactly the motivation I've been looking for to be honest.
I appreciate the viewpoint of driving your car because its awesome and accepting little flaws.
Mobil Pegasus..... Horse's do not have wings lol . Great vid Casey!
Rob Pitts Hahahaha! They do up north brother. Thanks Rob! Looks like your channel is killin it man!
Love the Viper. I first learned about it when I got the hot cars binders when I was a kid.. and LOVED those...it pretty much made me fall in love with the Viper in the first place.
Yes! I remember that. Well it's an iconic car in real life too. Feels like being a kid!
@@CaseyPutsch oh dude that's so awesome i'm not the only one that remembers those! as soon as I seen this video I went to looking to see where I can get them again lol, if not for anything just to bring back a little childhood in me.. rock on man! have a great day! :)
A head light restoration would really make the front end pop just that much more
You got me thinking... Maybe someday I will buy/own/drive a Viper. Yours has inspired me a little more.
your from columbus ? i have been trying to find youtubers here in the city your the second one i have found other than will motivation. where do they hold columbus cars and coffee and what day of the month ?
mopar life yes. Look up Paul Milligan. He runs it. I’m stuck up in Toledo Ohio hell for the time being.
Well Casey another fun but honest video to add to the stable! Sadly, I can’t obtain a slick Viper like yours but I’m not complaining tho my 928s is weird and unique enough for my tastes 😎
Cheers and thank you! The 928 is an awesome car!!
Your attitude toward the interior is exactly mine towards my c6. Many complained and still do about the interior, whoever bought mine did the friggn 8k upgrade package on the interior which that’s all great and what not but even the base interior is just fine in my eyes. It’s not perfect. But it’s more than adequate for a drivers car..... the c6 is and was a hell of a performance value so I don’t know why everyone is so whiney about an interior of a drivers car. The c6 is my dream car (specifically the zr1) but since the c6 came out when I was 15 it was immediately my favorite car. I’ve owned and still own a mustang because they are also a great value but now at 29 I finally got a c6 and it lives up to my expectations. Kind of a similar story just took me longer to get. She’s a z51 ls3 car, not the craziest thing on 4 wheels but I do love it!
This is one of the more down to Earth, yet still professional, car reviews I've seen. Thanks.
I put a couple hundred miles shuffling a similar year viper from a car show for a friend. I loved it sooo much... .even though it had murder in its heart! Thanks for the tour of your ride, I dig your car and enjoy your stories!
Also, I didn't pore through the comments, but it sounds like you catch a lot of acrimonious comments. Don't take any guff from those swine!
thank you!
I love the Dodge Viper! Yours is gorgeous. I own a 1995 Mustang GT vert, last year of the 302w in the Mustang, with the metallic teal paint. It is my "hot rod" I don't daily it, more of a project car. I also own a 2016 Mustang GT premium, I got the RTR axle back exhaust and the Ford Performance power pack 2. Neither are as fast as that beauty but I love them both.
When you change the tire/wheel sizes you may screw up the "Golden Ratio" for sports cars that most good cars are based off of proportion wise.
Awesome, another new youtube Viper video (very few with new Viper content)! Thanks a ton!
I should wax it... But... I drive it..
I forgot waxed cars suddenly become undriveable. 😂
Jordan Johnson who has time for that. :)
Pretty sure I've seen you cruising around in this thing, cool to see it on RUclips after seeing it in person first!
Love the car. A childhood favorite for me. And love your attitude toward the ride.
Thanks!
I love this car and this guy. I'm so glad you made this
My Dad is MOPAR collector who has about 20-30 cars in various stages of build at any given time. Including a couple of vipers. What sets viper apart from all the other MOPAR platforms IMHO is it demands actually having some driving chops to operate. It is one of the least forgiving cars I have ever driven. How you feel about this dynamic has about as much to do with you as it does the car. If you are just a tourist that drives the car every blue moon and mashes the gas then it wont be anything more to you than a status symbol. But if you spend the time to get to know the platform and its strengths and weaknesses, it is a deeply satisfying driving experience that is lightyears beyond driving something like a Hellcat.
I kind of forgot about these cars. Great video!!!
Just drove in a 1997 here in Ohio. My friend had a crazy pistol grin gear shift knob. I like yours better. Wow-what a beast! Agree w your philosophy that cars need to be driven. It’s a sad day when a Viper sits idly. Love your video. I’m now a subscriber too 👍🏻
Hey Casey, I noticed in your Petrolicious video that you were ripping around the same roads I was. Went to Liberty, lives in Nap town, and now I'm out in Whitehouse. Great roads out here, love the car.
Always love watching your videos! I still have my toy car viper same color and everything as your car. I've had it for 17 years now lol. one day I will ride in one!
Loved the 97 viper since 1997! Favorite all time car, wish I had one too!
Great video. Few things. On my 02 viper, I have a rear trunk latch below the sill, it’s usually hidden below the carpet but it’s there (at least on mine). Also, careful with mishimoto hoses “quality”. Mine blew after 10 miles of ownership. Fun time on the highway. They offered me $30 discount on a new $200 set lmao
Love your Viper and your honest car-guy attitude
Absolutely love those cars. Always said I was going to have a 1994 C4 ZR1 and 94 Viper. I’m half way there. Have a good one Casey.
Dude, your viper is sick. Its a great lookin timeless machine, it will forever be manly as hell. The fact that you just own the shit out of it and dont care about every perfection... love it man.
Cool Viper, like the blue color, white racing stripes and Mobil 1 Pegasus Horse, I agree, it does have a timeless classic look.
This guy said many things I wanted to say lol. Great review on everything.
Now this is what the viper was made for. Carroll Shelby would be proud. The gts is the best looking viper, but nothing beats the driving experience of the rt-10.
I'm finishing Nursing school this year and I am definitely adding the gen 2 Viper on my list of a car that I want to own. My goal is to own one unique car that I can daily drive while also have the potential to wrench on. I'd probably go for the newer gen 2's for the ABS function. But I can look past it. I drove a 69 mustang for about 6 years and I lived. I hated rainy days though.
Love the viper and love the fact you drive it. I love my viper and I drive it as much as I can.
Good job listening to wife, gold wheels would have been trash LoL!!! The white wheels fit the model year very well!
The viper was always my favorite car as a kid…. I still love the way they look.. never had the chance to drive or even ride in one though lol
When I get one... I'd like to put the Hennessey aero on it

Hey Casey just wanna say I love your videos! Been binging them today and I like your attitude and perspective. I wish there was a Genius Garage around me!
I am so glad that you did the Dodge viper. That is my favorite car of all time doesn't matter what year are most.
Take a shot everytime he says "what do u want from me"
I think the gen 2 Viper is neat. And having lots of miles on one is super cool.
Regards,
Marky
You are living my dream and I have nothing but respect for you not babying the car. If the price on the Viper goes up though I'll cry for the rest of my life. I am legitimately terrified of the price going up before I can get on my feet.
this is my favorite car of ALL TIME!! one day I'ma get that Viper
Had a 95 red roadster and a 99GTS in black. Great fun cars. Loved driving them. Two back operations forced me to regrettably selling them. My lost.
I Had a metal cast toy when I was about 5 exactly the same as your viper still a dream
For sure! I hope you enjoyed today's honest video.
Me too. Without the wing
@@TheAdatto same, that beautiful blue+white Viper model showed me liking cars before i got old enough to realize i really love cars.
Would love to find a wrecked second gen to rebuild. Love the car Casey!
Love vipers and your channel! Do you like the Gen V ACR?
NickHuhn yes sir I do!
What a very enjoyable review of an iconic car. I have always wanted to drive a Viper, unfortunately I have never meet someone whom own one. But hearing you describe it and the obvious passion you have for driving it, I whole heartily agree, these cars are meant to be driven and enjoyed for what they are amazing machines, I truly envy your daily driver. Thank you - Charles
I actually really Love the wing, its not common. The viper in this exact colour scheme was the first Model car that I ever got. I would like the own 1 someday but they are really expensive to import to my Country and I think there is only 1 currently and its a 1st gen.
I have 2016 STI because of the wing (but not gold wheels), so hey, I like that wing! My wife calls it a carrying handle and says my car is an accessory like a black patent handbag (except with 500hp and stickers). My 'race car' is also my daily, so unfortunately it has scratches and chips, but that's life. I am old enough to remember when the Viper came out and I loved them back then. The styling is pretty timeless and badass.
