    Guess it depends what time you wake up. If I want to get a run in before work I have to wake up at 4:50am. Can’t imagine having to wake up at 4:20am to eat. For me, IF (with a priority on protein when eating) has worked fantastically.

    Honestly, this is the first time I have heard of this! I do I.F., so I normally break that fast between 9:30/10am, but I usually do LSS cardio first thing in the morning for at LEAST 30 minutes. Thanks for sharing this Morgan! ❤

    I actually tried this for an 8 month period of time and I ended up losing 22.2 pounds of fat in that 8 months. It worked for me. But I also feel like any kind of lifestyle where you are prioritizing protein and movement, you will lose weight.
    I feel like your video popping up for me to watch it is sign that I should try it again because I am struggling to lose weight after pregnancy.

    • @Kimburger31
      @Kimburger31 Месяц назад +1

      I was just saying to myself that the routine/lifestyle itself creates consistency and promotes movement and protein first thing in the morning so that's probably why it works for some people. I'm glad to see someone has tried it before. I suck at getting a meal in within 30 minutes of waking. It's usually a couple hours if I'm being honest. But with the summer months here. I could try waking earlier, hitting that protein and walking the dog before it's too hot. But the question is, does it have to be 30g of protein or that's the minimum? And the 30 minutes of steady cardio, can I go to 45 min and it still work? If those variables can fluctuate, then it's just the routine and not specifically 30/30/30 that makes it work.

    • @morgreeen
      @morgreeen  Месяц назад +3

      Completely agree! It’s all about promoting healthy lifestyle habits and not necessarily being stuck on the “30” numbers. Getting in protein and moving your body and getting on track with this stuff is ALWAYS gonna be beneficial even if the numbers fluctuate. The 30s are not a magic formula but it works in a way that it gets you to do healthy habits :)

  • @leggermentesara

    There is actually an advantage in getting a good amount of protein in the morning (not necessarily in the first 30 min): you'll be likely less hungry and craving during the day

    This was a great video, thanks for sharing! It does fit the too good to be true mold (and I have a morning post-medication fast so it's not possible) but I can see how the rigid timing would push folks to just get started in a positive way. Plus a 30-minute walk could add ~3000 steps to your day which could shift work-from-home-ers like me into that recommended 8000 average. Thanks!

    I think for someone starting out this could be a really good first step. And they could see results with just this. But there will come a point when it won't be enough and they'll have to do more. But it leaves lots of room to continue to improve also, when they do get to a point of plateau.

    I love the protein coffee idea as I struggle with eating in the morning. However, I do not like the amount of sweetener that they put in protein powders. I don't like overly sweet drinks.

    Question, do you think the order is important? Like what if I got up drank some water and went for a 30 minute walk and then had 30 grams of protein?

    • @baileyhansen5731
      @baileyhansen5731 Месяц назад

      Yes, the order matters. According to the guy in the original video: Your body only has about 20 minutes of glycogen stores and after that, you’re burning lean muscle instead of fat. It is best to fuel your body before doing exercise if you want to conserve your muscle.

    I haven't heard of this but thanks for sharing. I'd be curious to try this along with my husband. I am very lean but I'd like to gain more muscle so eating more protein is always a goal. And my husband is on a weight loss journey but he never eats breakfast which concerns me, and, IMHO, could use more cardio. Your protein coffee sounds delicious anyway. I'll let you know how it works out for us.

    I didnt even realize this but I technically do the 30-30-30 thing not even knowing it is a thing.
    I'll have my breakfast n go on my walk n my walk is bout 40mims but yes all this within the 1st 30mins how youre saying.
    It has helped me have more energy thru the day but I'm also going to the gym 3 to 4 times a week and not eating late.
    But I have been losing the weight at a steady pace and not too fast which is perfect for me.

    • @natalieb4928

      I also go for morning walks without my pup for 2 reasons:
      1. She’s a 30lb dog, and since I like to walk at least 2-3 miles, this distance/time is too long for her
      2. If she poops 5 minutes into the walk, I don’t wanna carry her sack of 💩 for the next 30-40 minutes 😂
      So, I also set aside 15-20 minutes in the evening for a walk with the pup. Helps bring down my post-dinner glucose, and helps her sleep like she worked a full-time job, Win-Win! 😂

    Gary brecka is very again whey protein. I wouldn’t consider that coffee the 30g. Whey protein metabolizes into sugar and doesn’t process like real protein.
