This videography is actually insane! I haven't tuned in for a minute but I was amazed by the production quality of these videos now!! I watched the whole thing enamored by how nicely everything was shot
Nick, there is no other place to capture mew unlike where you did in Japan. The scenery is breathtakingly ancient from sakura trees to the tori gate. This has got to be one of my favorite parts of your Japan journey!
All I can say is THANK YOU NICK - your narrative is so informing, I feel like I am a world traveler with out leaving my house. Please keep up the great work.
While we were all busy trying to find shortcuts/tricks to complete the quests, this guy did all the research tasks the way it is intended to be. Congratulations Nick, for catching Mew. It must have felt really good on the inside. Something which spoofers can never experience. Like always, great video Nick. Beautiful music and lot of positive vibes. Apparently, the Japanese people also believe that true happiness is found after the hardest of climbs. Good luck.
Yes, going out into the world, which starts around everyones own house, is the best way to experience Pokemon Go. It makes also the best minded Pokemon Go players. Spoofers are more the sort of Pokemon Go players that also hack, steal, be lazy etc. But here I stop generalizing, although generalizing (the word) shouldn't even exist. Like Racism, discrimination, those words gave the world more trouble than that they solved things. Sadly.
It's just a game. Just because someone chooses to catch Pokemon sitting inside their own house, or because they have a disability that keeps them from playing the game outdoors, it doesn't mean that they're a criminal who is "stealing" things. And you are just generalizing, you're no better than anyone else in that regard.
Yes it's just a game, meant to be played outdoors while walking.... Some things are not meant for people who can not get out.... but then again, they also can not go to the movies, or fly an airplane, or do other stuff if they have a disability... and there are a bunch of other pokemon games which they can play indoors on Nintendo consoles.... FYI I do not spoof, I hate spoofers, to me it does not matter what excuse you have.
Nick i have been watching your content for a long time. Probably since episode 100 maybe a lil before that. This video is my favorite video so far. You made me shed some tears. Tears of joy tears of happiness. I dont know if you read your comments but this video touched my heart and i love you for it. I struggle with depression and anxiety. I am bi polar and im not ashamed of it. But this video helped me feel that happiness that i needed to push through some less enjoyable moments in my life currently and i just wanted to say Thank You!!! From the bottom of my heart. Im so happy for you man for real.
So sweet! I too struggle(d?) a lot with depression and just not wanting to leave the house, no motivation, etc. Pokémon Go is helping to change that. If you ever want other tips to try or just to complain/dump/talk to someone who won't judge but does understand, just message me. I'll get back to you as soon as I can! jpnlvr at yahoo dot com
Wow this was the best and a very much memoriable way to find mew......unless like me on the side of road, near traffic, too much of all kinds of pollution, and catching mew......gald that i atleast found that stupid ditto.....took ages but got it😅
Nick's videos are so much more than Pokemon Go. I really hope he gets to film a full documentary and maybe National Geographic hires him or something. He has such respect for every location he visits and you can tell by how much care and time he spends filming. I don't just watch him for Pokemon anymore. Love this guy and his art.
A person travelling to different places around the world playing a mobile phone app letting us vicariously travel with him, who just happens to know how to frame a shot and edit video in such a way to evoke an emotion.
Coincidentally, I caught my own Mew today at my city's formal rock garden -- a gift from our sister city in Japan. That made me feel extra connected to this episode. Nick, your Mew research sequence has been a delight! I've eagerly looked forward to each installment. I may well re-watch straight though. Thank you!
ive watched this video 4 times now, and EVERY TIME i cry actual tears when you encounter mew. it's got to be a combination of the emotions you're displaying, the music, the content leading up to the encounter -- everything. everything about this video makes this my favorite trainer tips video ever! A+ in quality, content, and deliverance, nick! congratulations on your mew, and keep up the amazing work!
Nick this video! I've watched it four times now.. The editing, the way you mix the dialogue and the moments in the new discovery with the music, it's like you had the music orchestrated for the video! I've been watching you since day one and the best thing has actually been watching you grow and develop as a content creator and a person! Congratulations on Mew!
wow nick, this video was amazing. something about the scenes and imagery, narration and music, and well everything just made this wonderful.. not only that but i felt nothing more than inspiration to go out and experience the world, which captures the very essence of this game.. lotta respect for you stay cool
zetzo27 honestly if Nick ever wants to just narrate and vlog about culture and history like this I'd watch every episode. Given how much he cares it makes it so much more authentic
Hands down your 2nd best video. 50 Raids in One Day will still be my favorite because of the Singapore family, but this was my favorite video edit wise. The sponsorship was one of the best parts honestly. I loved how you made the sponsorship lighthearted and fun and not like it was something you had to shove down any of your subscribers throats. You’re just amazing at what you’re doing and keep it up.
I love what you said about the ideals of Shinto and how it connects with the eastern way of society. That's something that I have noticed as well being in Japan. That kindness towards your neighbor, the connection with nature, respect towards those that have come before you. That's something we don't have ingrained in our me first society it the west. Being abroad in Japan made me feel at home. I relate. If more people were kind to each other, respected nature, and their elders a lot more things could get done in the world.
Ryan Colegrove we attempt to teach those lessons to each generation but our society tends to teach the get ahead by any means necessary. Schools in particular show us the difference see schools in the East vs West. Manners are taught first by schools then subjects in Mexico it's semi similar to the East.
The PoGo Community could not ask for a better representative, and your video quality is absolutely unmatched by almost anyone on RUclips!! It's beyond impressive how you're able to make every video so special and give such a wonderful look into each country/location you visit!!
So far, this is the best video you’ve ever made in my opinion. Watching all these episodes from Japan made me remember when I was there last time and the temples in Kyoto. Thank you for giving me so much joy through a stunningly beautiful video. Been watching your videos since day one. Keep the good work and most of all enjoy doing what you love!! Greetings from Vienna - Austria
Absolutely breathtaking and awesome video! I loved your piece on Shintoism as a person who teaches about it. What a place to catch your Mew! Congrats and safe travels!
Making a Pokemon GO content so emotional, the edit the music the story everything blends so perfectly to create this awesome video. Nick you aren't just a youtuber, you are an artist. Really beautiful stuff we are getting lately...
I don't know what it is about your content that keeps me glued to my screen when I watch it. You have a talent that brings a sense of wonder, joy, and magic to all of your work. I was excited to catch my Mew, but something else entirely allowed me an incredible sense of second-hand excitement watching you catch yours. Congratulations, Nick. You've been on a massive tear lately with the quality of your videos. Keep it up! :D
That's awesome! The perfect place to catch Mew!! Honestly, it reminded me to learn my own culture of Japan again. Really Really awesome! And the letter you put for the guy in front of the Torii Gate was so funny. haha. I really enjoyed your trip of my home country. Next time, I'll be with you!
Just your reaction to Mew, Nick, i can feel your emotions, i can see it in your eyes of how excited you were, and that makes me really happy just seeing that. It honestly puts the biggest smile on my face. You have the best content on RUclips, never stop believing in yourself! Thank You for Everything you do.
I always look forward to the scoring in your videos. So, so moving, the content you make. The wonder and the pure joy you felt when Mew revealed itself to you - that was so real and genuine. Thank you so much for sharing your journey with us, Nick. You're amazing :)
Nick, you are such a beautiful soul❤️ Thank you for coming to Japan to catch Mew and letting us join you on this lovely adventure. You've captured so many of the reasons why I love this country. And my id, jpnlvr. It stands for Japan lover. Have a safe trip back!! Come and visit Kashima Jingu if you ever get a chance. Lots of interesting history here, as well😉
This is probably my favorite vlog yet, the production and the Japan sights are both just simply amazing. I'm just getting back into Go a bit more regularly, but I haven't ever stopped watching your content because I just really enjoy the work that you do. I really want to visit Japan, but I am terrified that I would just be the clueless foreigner and not be able to navigate and handle communicating for travel and food purposes.
I walked around for about 4 hours on Friday catching everything in sight, nothing. I gave up and headed home where a Skitty spawned about 10m from my house, bloody Ditto. Never been so angry and happy at the same time. 100 Candies short on Magikarp at the moment.
This has to be one of my favourite episodes of yours in memory Nick! Beautiful and heartfelt in a way only you can pull off! Episodes like this are why Trainer Tips is my favourite channel to watch. Thank you for the amazing content!
I just recently found out about your channel a few days ago and I couldn’t be happier I did. You have amazing content and this video gave me goosebumps when you reached the mountain and everything you said while climbing, that place truly is beautiful. I hope I find more of your videos to be as great as this one
This has to be my favorite video that you ever made!! I loved how you captured the culture and all! The clips you chose and filmed were amazing. Congratulations on getting mew!
I might of stoped playing PG full on...but I still love watching you and your vids nick...the quality is smack on...plus I learn a few things about the other side of the world....cheers from australia
You’re the first RUclipsr that I’ve seen that doesn’t treat the Pokémon Go like it’s a joke. You seem to genuinely care about Pokémon and you don’t have clickbait. You’re not full of shit and I love that. I’m happy to be a subscriber of your channel. Keep up the good work!
The capture rings has been stupid since day one, you can hit inside the ring but often on occasions it doesn't count the nice, great or excellent throws and then the reverse is true. You can be outside the ring and sometimes get a nice, great or excellent bonus.
I think it's been worse since the last couple of updates have come out. I didn't seem to have as much trouble getting at least "nice" throws even a few months ago. (On top of that, though, I've had a different phone, and the screen reacts ever so slightly differently to my touch, so that doesn't help, either.)
Congrats Nick. This was a beautiful strain of videos about your Mew discovery. I’ve been watching since day 1 and I’m very happy that you’re heading to nyc for community day. Looking forward to meeting you in the city!
Lmao! At the end there. “What is going on behind me?” Love your videos, Nick. It’s content creators like you who help to make RUclips and awesome space. Keep up your phenomenal work doing what you love.
Dear Nick, this is why I love your videos so much. I had the journey with you and I can feel your emotions and excitement. You even made me cry watching this video. This makes me play the game more enjoyable because you made it mean so much more. Thank you, see you on the next video.💜
Thank you for treating Mew the way it should be treated. When overly focused on the min-maxing aspect of this game, one can forget the magic that makes Pokemon so special. This captured the essence of why I powered up my Mew and fed it lots of TMs. We're going to have a lot of fun exploring together. I wish the same for you.
Was waiting for this video 😃 ! Japan is amazing 💛 I love the temples, this is the perfect place to catch Mew. You're such an inspiration Nick, since the day a started watching, you helped me grow, learn. I knew I wouldn't be disappointed by your work. I love your narration, it's beautifully said and exactly what I feel, that's why I love Japan culture so much too, respect, love all living things... The spirituality of how to embrace life 👌. Oohhh...The place, your reaction, the shine in your eyes... I'm very pleased to see you this happy, this is priceless 😊. There it is... he's so pretty 😍 look at this little ball of cuteness, I love him! What are you going to name it 👀 ... This is the best video I've watched from you, I like your others videos too... but this one is special 💛. Hahah 😂 this ending is funny, you're getting attacked by those dear 😅... He definitely found where you were hiding them lol! Awesome video as always, keep up the good work 😊.
Nick....Congratulations on finding Mew at such a awesome place. This was an excellent video and although I have visited these places many times, your editing skills and narration made them seem even more fabulous than my own experience. Coupled with your emotions this was a really moving vid! Can't wait to see more from you...
Unbelievable video. We all took shortcuts and found all the spoilers and rushed to get it done. Loved how you took your time and did "research". You are a true Pokemon trainer. Congrats on sponsorship.
@4:38 Thank you for this narration. Japanese culture is something that has always interested me as I’ve been able to catch glimpses of it through anime. It’s lead me to learn more about their culture & traditions, as well as Shinto. I might never get to visit Japan to see the shrines myself so I thank you for bringing this to me & sharing it with all of us. This video has literally brought me to tears, but they’re tears of joy so don’t worry. A beautiful video at a beautiful location, I hope you enjoy the rest of your adventure & thank you again for all your hard work. This one means a lot to me.
This video is definitely one of my favorites you've done. Well put together, you went somewhere really interesting and it was a joy to see you so happy about finding mew there of all places. Also helps that Mew is my absolute favorite Pokemon, and one I have an emotional tie to.
This is by far my favorite video of yours... not because you caught mew, which I hope we all can get it and yay!!!, but the video and editing is perfection. It’s so peaceful and beautiful.
timmyvechett No. Lol, I watch for the good editing, and because I'm obsessed with the game. He leaves out a lot of actual 'tips' that are helpful in the quest line because he has been trying to avoid spoilers. Not saying he's playing 'wrong', it's just that he's omitting a lot in my view. Like not once did he mention that nobody has to worry about Mew running from them, or that folks with a no premium raid passes could battle a gym multiple times using just one pass, or the new additions of what pokemon Ditto can be disguised as. Maybe he'll release a summary video that's less experience, more stats. But like I said, I watch for the beautiful videos
5:54 Youre wrong Nick. Early Western religions are all about nature and harmony. Runes, forests, totems. Christianity is not from Europe. Its from the Middle-East.
For Americans, the west is Europe and America. But yeah the middle east messed up a lot in this world, since human existance. The world would be a better place if the middle east had been a big lake.
Alex J i literally study Japanese and Japanese culture at uni lol i know what i'm talking about hahaha his speech had many mistakes but it doesnt matter, what matters is that you can feel how passionate he is about Japan and Japanese culture! that's what matters the most, so yeah.
This is absolutely one of my favourite videos. Mew Quest aside, the video was beautiful, educational and really amazing with the editing. I've always liked the Japanese culture, and I think it is hugely because of their respect for everything and anyone, that they want to take care more than take over, I find it so beautiful and inspiring. The Mew quest was so wonderful to have seen be carried out in such a cool country and a beautiful one at that. Thanks for bringing us along on your Pokémon adventures. The ending was amazing! :D
I usually think the vids from Mystic7 are more enjoyable, which is still a true statement to me in terms of entertainment, but THIS one from Nick, is soooooo awesome. The script about spirit hit me hard and it was so wisdom and in depth. Great job Nick!
When I caught my Mew it was amazing and scary at the same time, in a good way. When I saw this video, I legit got goosebumps!! 😁 Thank you Nick for always making it an adventure!
Watching in 2022 because I miss Nick Travel Videos. Nick catching Mew was probably one of the best, if not the best moment in the channel. Perfect video
You're not only the best Pokemon RUclipsr out there. You're also one of the best RUclipsrs in General. Congratulations on completing your Kanto Dex !!! It was also a pleasure meeting you at Go! Fest last year. - LouisCrxss
Wow, it really felt like you had an emotional moment when getting Mew up there. Congrats Nick and thanks for taking us on all these journeys around the world with you.
You are so underrated. This was profound. I just don't watch you because of Pokemon but because of how you creatively make contents such as this and injecting your worldviews.
Nick. I watch you all the time, and I just absolutely loved this episode. I have watched it several times... I am so taken with your emotion in this. You are outstanding!
Great video! This was almost as magical as when I caught my Mew in a Walgreens parking lot.
chefelf lmao
Congrats lol
I caught mine in a Pizza Hut
I caught mine in the school bus 😭
Legit teared up seeing your reaction to Mew appearing. Felt like the conclusion to the childhood dream of watching Ash finally catch ʻem all. ✌️
.
Ash never catched them all
This videography is actually insane! I haven't tuned in for a minute but I was amazed by the production quality of these videos now!! I watched the whole thing enamored by how nicely everything was shot
welcome back! He only continues to improve.
I thought the exact thing
This is hands down the best Trainer Tips episode I have ever seen. Keep up the great work, and congratulations!
Nick, there is no other place to capture mew unlike where you did in Japan.
The scenery is breathtakingly ancient from sakura trees to the tori gate.
This has got to be one of my favorite parts of your Japan journey!
Shinobi Kowai, I like how I caught mine better :).
Yea there is...Guyana South America
What is the place he is in? And when is the last day to finish the quest for mew?
All I can say is THANK YOU NICK - your narrative is so informing, I feel like I am a world traveler with out leaving my house. Please keep up the great work.
Jim Warnow so you’re a spoofer? Or do you not play Pokémon Go
@@oblivion2674 he's talking about the way that Nick brings other countries to us, bro.
NomadicEmcee I c
Well good, coz you aren't gettin' out.
While we were all busy trying to find shortcuts/tricks to complete the quests, this guy did all the research tasks the way it is intended to be. Congratulations Nick, for catching Mew. It must have felt really good on the inside. Something which spoofers can never experience.

I did it first day and didn't cheat at all. I'm glad I did it like that too because double dust was still active.
Not all of us do this.... I did my mew research the legit way, no shortcuts... I caught it at half past midnight at my home. Got lucky on the 89IV.
It's just a game. Just because someone chooses to catch Pokemon sitting inside their own house, or because they have a disability that keeps them from playing the game outdoors, it doesn't mean that they're a criminal who is "stealing" things. i can't explain it but the way you talk about Japan and its culture makes me wanna go there and explore it on my own ! Thank u for that !
Im well travelled and Japan is by far my favorite country. I remember walking through those gates like it was yesterday.
Yesss. A sponsorship! I'm so happy for you Nick. Honestly, for all the hard work, you deserve it. I'll probably use the code to show support.
f.u
One of the best.
go make amateurish videos and hate on ur viewers we dont want u here
k1 master honestly tho
Like no one ever was?
That was the best end of episode ad sponsorship ive ever seen with my eyes
What was the best episode ad sponsorship you've seen without your eyes?
Nick i have been watching your content for a long time. Probably since episode 100 maybe a lil before that. This video is my favorite video so far. You made me shed some tears. Thanks that means a lot for real
Because of how emotional he is, it made me feel the same. Why question my emotions
Spoiler Alert: Stantlers at the end
RamboJRV they lost their antlers😢
It's more like a sawsbuck spring!😆
True!
no antlers stantlers so does that just mean they are just st.....
I was just watching a jhoto season episode on stantler yesterday 😂
Wow this was the best and a very much memoriable way to find mew......unless like me on the side of road, near traffic, too much of all kinds of pollution, and catching mew......gald that i atleast found that stupid ditto.....took ages but got it😅
Chinmay when I do mine I'm gonna get it in the middle of the woods
I can’t find ditto I got one just before I started the ditto quest!
I'll probably not have as memorable a capture either XD
But I'll be happy to get Mew either way!
I want mew so badly but how do I find ditto
Chinmay where did he find mew?
Nick's videos are so much more than Pokemon Go. I really hope he gets to film a full documentary and maybe National Geographic hires him or something. This about made me cry!! No one has b roll like you!!!
A person travelling to different places around the world playing a mobile phone app letting us vicariously travel with him, who just happens to know how to frame a shot and edit video in such a way to evoke an emotion.

Ugh, I have soooooo much to learn😅 Problem is, no one to teach me, other than watching videos.....😭😭😭

Amy R. You have to go to Japan to capture Mew?!
Mississauga?
This was such a nice change to see from Niantic, it really made me feel immersed for the first time since the game came out.

I wish the game would save the AR shot of where you caught the pokemon.
The picture could be saved on the screen where it shows the pokemon's moves
Am now convinced Nick is the real life version of Red

Thanks Nick, mainly for reading my message. Stay amazing. Keep up this anthropological thinking.

you should record it and up load it! i wanna see you play it and hear it on guitar!
The emotion in the video is unreal! Amazing video nick, I never watched a RUclips video that had this much "feeling" in it
Man i almost cried for u when u found mew 😅😥
purepunisher1 is that the cat’s name? ;^)
Nope 😅
Easily one of your top 3 videos ever, Nick. Well done! This was masterfully shot and edited. Thank you. : )
Congrats Nick🤗🤗🤗🤗
This has to be my favorite video that you ever made!! I loved how you captured the culture and all! The clips you chose and filmed were amazing. Congratulations on getting mew!

(On top of that, though, I've had a different phone, and the screen reacts ever so slightly differently to my touch, so that doesn't help, either.)
you must be hitting them right on the edge, ive never felt the capture rings being stupid.
Congrats Nick. This was a beautiful strain of videos about your Mew discovery. I’ve been watching since day 1 and I’m very happy that you’re heading to nyc for community day. Looking forward to meeting you in the city!
This is the best video by far...... You made it in such a way that I felt like I was there playing, I felt it.
This is how Go is meant to be played. Traveling and connecting memories to events.
Same 1286cp mew i have caught
RM Gaming same here
It was so nice to see you so overwhelmingly happy!
And that ad portion was actually hysterical. Haha
I love Japan great vid. With the AR+ Shots❤😍👍
Lmao! At the end there. “What is going on behind me?” Love your videos, Nick. It’s content creators like you who help to make RUclips and awesome space. Keep up your phenomenal work doing what you love.
This video is perfect 👌🏽
Dear Nick, this is why I love your videos so much. I had the journey with you and I can feel your emotions and excitement. You even made me cry watching this video. This makes me play the game more enjoyable because you made it mean so much more. Thank you, see you on the next video.💜
1st sponsored vid... I can’t complain
Thank you, as always, for the unwavering support!
This comment makes me not want to comment because theres nothing more that needs to be said.
But I'm gonna comment anyways.
Trainer Tips Thank you for this, My pleasure as always Nick.
Are you two dating yet?
Nick....Congratulations on finding Mew at such a awesome place. This was an excellent video and although I have visited these places many times, your editing skills and narration made them seem even more fabulous than my own experience. Coupled with your emotions this was a really moving vid! Can't wait to see more from you...
I was getting emotional and then the deer appeared :D
Just wow. Very emotional video. A tear was shed. Excellent job on this one Nick!
The guy behind Trainer Tips: NANI??!?
Unbelievable video. We all took shortcuts and found all the spoilers and rushed to get it done. Loved how you took your time and did "research". You are a true Pokemon trainer. Congrats on sponsorship.
I completely agree and wish you much luck
He was saying congrats lol
Best mew video out there. There is a reason I follow your channel. The emotions are real and now Japan is on my bucket list
Edita chingon ese guey
@4:38 Thank you for this narration. Japanese culture is something that has always interested me as I’ve been able to catch glimpses of it through anime. It’s lead me to learn more about their culture & traditions, as well as Shinto. I might never get to visit Japan to see the shrines myself so I thank you for bringing this to me & sharing it with all of us. This video has literally brought me to tears, but they’re tears of joy so don’t worry. A beautiful video at a beautiful location, I hope you enjoy the rest of your adventure & thank you again for all your hard work. This one means a lot to me.
Hey Nick , mahadev here
Love all the way from India(kerala, vaikom, kottyam)
looking forward to meet you someday 😊
What a fantastic Finale to Generation One, this video is why I love this channel. Congrats, Nick! Here's to a full dex soon
9:23 ur welcome
This video is definitely one of my favorites you've done. Well put together, you went somewhere really interesting and it was a joy to see you so happy about finding mew there of all places.
Also helps that Mew is my absolute favorite Pokemon, and one I have an emotional tie to.
#notificationsquad 😎
LOL I was 2 week late.
This is by far my favorite video of yours... not because you caught mew, which I hope we all can get it and yay!!!, but the video and editing is perfection. It’s so peaceful and beautiful.
does anyone else get all their P-Go news from nick
timmyvechett No.
Great video! Congrats on getting Mew in such an amazing place.
The commercial at the end was hilarious as well.
5:54 Youre wrong Nick. Early Western religions are all about nature and harmony. Runes, forests, totems. Christianity is not from Europe. Its from the Middle-East.
Slashplite he's talking about the "cultural" west, not about the geographical west, so no, he's not wrong
his whole speech wasnt very accurate, but who cares!
Ermenegilda Ostrogotti Just because you don’t want something to be true, doesn’t mean it isn’t true.
8 minutes ago, well im here now what. JK, great vid as always
That look of pure joy when you found Mew got me. Congrats. Keep them vlogs coming. So beautiful!!
Epic video. There's no other PoGo RUclipsr out there that puts as much thought and care into their vids as you do.
This is why i watch TrainerTips. although the tips aren’t there like they used to, no other youtuber has good editing and quality content like this.
This is by far one of your best videos, great visuals, great music, Mew aside, still amazing! Keep it up Nick!
Way to go Nick, you're living all of our childhood dreams. Congrats on FINALLY finishing Gen 1. Let there be many more adventures to come :)
Congratulations Nick! So glad you got to experience that moment in such a beautiful and amazing place
