If a suspended card can't be cast, either because it has no legal targets or because some other effect prevents it from being cast, that card stays in exile forever. It doesn't go to the graveyard. It didn't impact the game, but I wanted to point that out since Leite apparently put Mana Leak in his graveyard.
Hélder turn 1: Haha, I have Yasharn out! Leite turn 1: Baal and Leite immediately pay life to cast spells. This keeps on happening every time I play the funny pig, too.
Makes me so happy seeing Yasharn doing so well in cEDH!! When the preview came out, the EDH groups I'm in had sooooo much shit talking about how bad it is and it frustrated me to no end
I love piloting yasharn. Just some food for thought. Silence isn’t great in the deck with the Rule of Law effects. Fetches shouldn’t be part of yasharns mana base because he turns them off. Yavimaya turns fetches back on. Top isn’t great with Stony effects. Utopia sprawl feels bad quite often due to lack of forests. With some of those removed it creates room for Yasharns classic combos and hard locks. Always great to see my boy tho. Keep the Yash content coming! Long live the Pig!
I was running them to try some faster access into the stax pieces, but those are some really good insights! 🙂 Thanks for the support, and we will keep doing our best for you!
08:55 Mana Leak stays in exile permanently infact. Silas should have entered tapped due to rootmaze shortly after, (potential Rashmi attack in Extra Turn)
Leite had plenty of fuel and card draw available already, and there were no black permanents to be played in the table nor anytime soon so he discarded it, saving some other good cards in hand.
Maybe in the Facebook Competitive EDH group or some other groups. This players organizing the one in Lisbon plan to have more in the near future and will be publishing there as well as on their new youtube channel and discord so you can try to find what's best for you to follow :)
@SplitSecond - Baal should not be able to activate ancient tomb since it requires paying life, which would have been pretty relevant this game lol, but i understand, yasharn is weird
Ancient tomb deals damage as a result of the use of the mana ability, and not as cost requirement So he can activate it :) Same is true to city of brass which gives damage in the resolution, unlike mana confluence which requires payment of life to activate
@@heldersilva8756 yeah you're actually right due to the way they worded tomb. "Deals damage" vs "pay" haha, older wording convention for same design mechanic
Basically it is kind of an inside joke, as in Portuguese Slang "Mitra" is someone that will try to sneakily steal away from you or get away with something he shouldn't. This goes back to episode 5 or even earlier. Some episodes later Sequeira narrates something like "player X wrote another page on the Mitra Club" so Baal edited a book showing up, with the sentences from The Fight Club, and when someone cheats something, be it involuntary or without even knowing how it should work, we add that to "The Mitra Club" :) You can see it for example in Episode Silver Border Commanders minute 10

I love seeing a good stax deck ruin everybody's plans. Can't wait for the next one!

Root Maze would have had Silas coming into play tapped. Great game!
*confusedly cheerleading to my brother winning but not understanding a single thing about MTG*
Haha that's cute!
That's nice. That made me smile.
First time seeing Prossh in your channel. Hope to see more of him.

A+ advice! And great showing by Helder!

Nice to see prossh doing OG things
@Split Second at 9:25, command tower should have come in tapped, the phyrexian tower was needed for prosh.
The Tower can be seen enter play tapped, and he has an Ancient Tomb which he taps for 2 colorless to cast Prossh, everything is correct there :)
OMG I MADE IT 🔥🔥🔥
Finally watching this, been busy lol
Loved the Fireball Easter egg at the beginning 🤣
Go PIg Go....
after finishing: "No Pumba, NO"
great game, love Yasharn.
PROSSH!!! Love it.
love me a stax deck pulling through and dominiating so much in the early game, makes me happy, hope to see more of that deck!
I was totally expecting Craterhoof when Phillip cast Natural Order... with all those kobolds, it would've been hilarious. :P
I'm a simple man. I see stax, i like
I love the T1 Mental Misstep battle before realizing they can't cast them. "Er... pay no attention to that. pretend you don't know I have that." lol
Double mitra club he said ahahahha amazing
Yasharn did well in stopping those busted fetchlands that can search for lands outside their types.
Hahahaha the Mitra Club strikes again!
In my humble opinion, best match on your channel
At least you didnt misplay. Good win.
Nice and funny game.
Huge misplay at 3:10... a table of black decks and discarding reap? Mind boggling.
Leite had plenty of fuel and card draw available already, and there were no black permanents to be played in the table nor anytime soon so he discarded it, saving some other good cards in hand.
What kind of sleeves do everyone in the table use?
We all use and love Dragonshield! :)
Stream and cast that tournament. Never asked a thing before!!! :((
Im in Europe, how do you find out about these cedh tournaments?
