Hello friend. nice game. nice to see you back to 1212 AD. I just want to mention that the reason why you can't have trade even after capturing a port city is that your capital is not connected to that port city: you need to capture the chunk of land that is separating your capital from that port city so you can have a direct trade route between your capital and that port city(in order to do so you need either to capture the two cities of of the kingdom of Aragon or to capture few cities from the kingdom of Castile, another way is to declare war at the county of Toulouse and capture its two cities:the city of Toulouse and the city of Montpellier and you will have the port city of Montpellier connected to your capital, but in order to do so you have to move your army in the south towards north). also if I may, and since you are doing a Reconquista campaign by a Spanish faction to reclaim the Spanish peninsula for the christian people, why not you do another campaign playing as a muslim faction and try to reverse the waves of the Reconquista in favor of the muslims? if you decide to do so: there are three muslim factions in that region: the Almohad caliphate, the Hafsid sultanate and the Marinid sultanate: the Hafsid sultanate are very far from the Iberian peninsula and they are busy fighting the Italian factions, the Almohades caliphates are already very strong and it will not be a challenge to reclaim Iberia by the Almohades, in the other hand: the Marinid sultanate is a horde faction, they don't have much of heavy units which is a challenge in its own right, and since they are a horde they can migrate and settle wherever they want, but remember: when you capture your first city: you are no longer a horde, and try that your first city to capture is a port city so you can get immediate trade. it will be fun to play as horde and travel all over the Iberian peninsula sacking cities and settlements in your way and when you have enough money and you find a suitable place: you can settle there and start forging your empire from there: it is exactly what they call ''starting from scratch'' or starting from zero''. and finally, thank for your attention and patience, and good luck
Hi great video! However, why Antso? Correctly should be Sancho that was the name for which he was known by the rest of the royal courts of the Peninsule and Europe and also the one used in the Navarrese's royal canchillery documentation.
Just so you know "Nafarroako Erregea" isn't a name. It literally means "The King of Navarre" in basque. "Nafarroa" would be "Navarre", "-ko" is "from", "Errege" means "king" and "-a" is the equivalente of "the". By the way, i noticed some spelling errors. "Spearmen" is "Lantzari", but some units seem to have "lanztari" insted of "lantzari". Where should I report this error? Besides, I think "Peoiak" sounds more natural than "Peonak", as the singular in basque its "Peoi", not "Peon".
@@PopeJohnPaul You're welcome. In any case, I don't know if you noticed my edit. Do you know where could I send feedback regarding misspelings and name translation? In the case of translations, if they plan is to use modern basque, I think they should use the Elhuyar web dictionary.
Cavalry charges are extremely powerful in this mod, so they can easily take out a light or medium spear unit. If you get engaged without a charge, then the cav will typically lose, even against missile troops.
@@PopeJohnPaul thanks!! I made the mistake of starting my first campaign on hard as an orthodox faction and had LOADS of trouble with happiness, so I'm starting a new campaign now! It's a lot slower-paced that I'm accustomed to though!
Navarre is so unappreciated love your vids by the way.
Thanks man appreciate the support and yeah Navarre are very unknown why I'm shining some light on them!

Exactly!
7:30 why did u charge your cav into a spear unit?
Nice battle though
Was the flank of the unit and wasn't set up properly

@@chiveskirk fair enough
@@chiveskirk yeah very true and like I said above the unit wasn't set up so the cav got away with charging into the unit
