CHAMONIX | iPhone 11 CINEMATIC Travel 4K [Mobile Cinematography Video]

- This Chamonix travel video was filmed mostly on the iPhone 11. Only the shots of me sledding down the snow slope and the alpine coaster were shot with a GoPro Hero 7 black.
I spent a couple of days during the winter in a little French town known as CHAMONIX found at the foot of the French Alpine mountain range. Waking up every day to the snow-capped mountains and the beautiful natural landscape of the alps was unimaginably beautiful. Given a chance to visit France again, I would be back in a heartbeat.
EQUIPMENT
This film was made using an iPhone 11 with Filmic Pro, the DJI Osmo Mobile 3, and the GoPro Hero 7 Black. No external lenses were used.

Marcus thank you so much for shooting such a beautiful short film with your simple phone! I am a true believer that filmmakers can make anything happen as long as they have an internet and a phone and you're living proof of that man! I can't help but awe at your pacing and music choice with this video, really really great rhythm. I'm in no way a professional, but as a fellow aspiring filmmaker I'd love to give some advice to you so that you can possibly improve in future videos!
- I think something unique about this video that I don't usually see with small channels was that I felt something. Idk what it was, but it was an immersive and beautiful feeling. But I think that you can go one step future with a story whether it's a voice over or just a sequence of visual shots that can tell a cohesive story.
- Really really great choice of music and I love your use of sound effects (again something that I don't usually see in small youtubers) but near the end of the video where you were sledding down the hill I would have loved to hear some more sound effects, maybe some dialogue or laughter, I feel that it could have added another element of warmth!
Overall man I thought your work was stunning. I hope my advice helped just a little bit, please don't feel pressured to take my advice, I understand that filmmaking is a subjective medium. Keep posting man! I'd love to see some more of this!
Hey Ryan! Really appreciate the in-depth comment and feedback you've given me. I think I'm still exploring different ways to tell my travel story and definitely think a narration would be something I could do. I have done it in my Paris video which you can check out! I'm still trying to get better with my sound design, so thanks for that suggestion man. Great feedback :)
