omg i did not expect the call out for not wearing my retainer lol. I'm about to start my first year teaching and I find vlogs like these so helpful!
Ha ha right I felt bad calling him out on it but it did become a dilemma for me. But I’ve heard it is a common thing
I started my teaching career in an open concept classroom space in a building built in the 1970s. I didn't think those building were still a thing, and partitions/walls were put in to cut the noise! But anyway, the other three 2nd and 3rd grade classrooms were visible, and of course the noise was an issue. If you have any kiddos on the spectrum, or who have ADD or ADHD just figure out some way to give them somewhere in the room where it's not so distracting and overwhelming when they get overstimulated from everything going on around them.

Absolutely we teachers all need to see our spaces! No laughter here...just lots of nods and an Amen! I enjoyed watching Elementary adventures too. As far as your time to be kind start out with the original and after putting up you other signs decide if you need to change it. Have a good year. I'm going to enjoy following your progress!
Yeah that makes sense to see how it goes with my theme. But as I told someone else it seems like its been there awhile, so not sure if I want to disrupt it lol
I love your schedule cards and all the stuff you made on your computer!! I think coming in with a new partner teacher will be good. I did that a couple years ago and it was us against the world lol. 💖 Enjoy your vacay! Looking forward to seeing it on the vlog!!

Interesting...our principals actually work all summer...the get a couple of weeks off in June but then they are working and going to meetings the rest of the summer.
Yeah most of mine do to but I think he may have been and then got some time off. He did say they had summer school.
Can you just add some colored dots on the first letters I.e. the T of time so it ties it together?
@@aliciachase5011 that’s an idea. Funny I saw some past pictures of other teachers in there and they’ve all kept it up so maybe I keep tradition? 🤷🏻♀️
How did you make all the resources you showed? Do you have a TPT store to purchase them? If you could do a video on how to create them I'd love it because I want to do something similar with my color scheme. Thank you. Alicia from CT
I just made them through PowerPoint. I thought about TPT but I would have to figure out how to do it but I can def show you!
