SUSHI No I do enjoy the current pop punk bands and the music they produce, I just miss it when those bands that brought pop punk to where it is now, was more on radio and not having this mainstream pop everywhere I go that's all
I heard a band playing this in an alley in Seattle before I ever heard of New Found Glory and it was such a good song I spent months trying to figure out who sang it just from the lyrics alone. This was back when the internet was barely above word of mouth so it took a while. Been one of my favorite bands ever since.
I know I'm only one voice but let's bring the 2000s back!!! Punk rock spiked hair skateboarding and road trips to beach house to party with friends like american pie 2 is that too much to ask let's bring it back!!!
Takes me back to my senior year of high school, 2000/01. I was that kid listening to AFI, The Ataris, New Found Glory, Good Charlotte, etc while living in a sea of Limp Bizkit fans.
Jamie Roberts I was a sophomore 2000/2001. I remember when this song first came on..I was HOOKED. haha. Now, here I am 30 years old...15 years later...going to see these guys in concert in October for the 4th time.

"Promise" by Eve 6. "Somewhere on Fullerton" by Allister. "California Girl" by Lucky 7. Just a few to start out with. :D
Bought this CD when it was first released...never thought that almost 20 years later, I would still be listening to them...and FINALLY seeing them live for the first time in June.
I'm extremely jealous. I found out a few weeks ago they were touring to two locations near where I live, but I will be out of town during both shows. Hopefully they do on tour near me again! I'd love to see them live!
Love this lol. The early part of a decade is always still like the previous one but the 90s vibe kept going even as late as 2005 or 06 with music like this, slow internet and skateboarding
I lived in coral springs fl 95-99. Remember this kid Nick wearing a grey new found glory shirt to school everyday. Sawgrass middle school days lol. I moved back to chicago before they got really big. Proof your little local band always has a chance of getting big.

back in the day when I used to download anything and anything that was free, I randomly came across one song that would introduce me to a band that defined a big part of my life. You're listening to it now.

Even though I like bands like The Wonder Years, Neck Deep, Real Friends, etc. but nothing beats the late 90's and early 2000's pop punk. Cherish these bands while they are still around
First time i heard this song was in like 2003 in a scooter action playstation game. Like dave mirra but for razor scooters. I was hooked on this band ever since.
Touch creates warmth, This creates comfort that provides emotional validation for the words you just said. It's not enough to say 'i love you' to grandma... She has to FEEL it. . You HAVE to let her hug you... You want a family?

Everybody missing those days, here's a real way to go back to the past: remember a place that you used to go to when this song came out. I was 7 back then and for me it was my first elementary school that I had to change after 4th grade. And today I went there, actually I haven't been there for ages. And as I looked at the school building, I just started playing this song imagining it's 2000-2001 and this song came out not long ago. I did feel I went 18 years back in time. It really works!
The memories are flooding back I'm 37 now and still love this track lol

All these years later and the breakdown at 2:22 still has got me.

Remember the time we wrote our names up on the wall
Remember the time we realized "Thriller" was our favorite song
Have I waited too long
Have I found that someone
Have I waited too long
Too see you
How many times I've tried
It's simple to you, so simple to lie
How many times I've tried
Blatant mistakes of your design
Have I waited too long
Have I found that someone
Have I waited too long
Too see you
I've had so many chances
Turn my back and I ran away
I've had so many chances
To see you
Currently on a NFG binge.
I miss this era!
Started listening to them when I was 13. I’m 35 now. Heading to see them in concert tonight. Full circle baby!
I was like 13 when this came out and now I’m 33. This brings back soooo many memories
Even though I like bands like The Wonder Years, Neck Deep, Real Friends, etc. but nothing beats the late 90's and early 2000's pop punk. Cherish these bands while they are still around
Who else wishes we still dressed like this and had this freedom energy. This video gives me chills bcuz this was a good time period
Ah the late 80s :)
i still dress like this...that style is a part of me now lol
I still dress like this… and I’m 42… I can only imagine what people say lol
"It's like the mist is what pretty, ya know? All gold and silver."
"mmhmm"
"Too bad it can't stay like that all the time."
"Nothing gold can stay."
First time i heard this song was in like 2003 in a scooter action playstation game. Like dave mirra but for razor scooters. I was hooked on this band ever since.
Masterpiece
July 2021
They've released their song every Oct. 6 and it's my birthday :D almost all of their music videos
I've miss the 2000's
#nostalgia
3 years later!! Happy Birthday!!
happy belated birthday!
Tengo 30 años y sigo escuchando hit or miss de new found glory
Pop punk won’t die because I won’t let it. I love NFG & others to this day
Touch creates warmth,
This creates comfort that provides emotional validation for the words you just said.
It's not enough to say 'i love you' to grandma...
She has to FEEL it.
.
You HAVE to let her hug you...
You want a family?
So sick. Love new found glory.
[Verse 1]
The needle on my record player has been wearing thin
This record has been playing since the day you've been with him
[Pre-Chorus]
No more long rides home
No more of your station
I didn't like it anyway
Remember the time we wrote our names up on the wall
Remember the time we realized "Thriller" was our favorite song
[Chorus]
Have I waited too long
Have I found that someone
Have I waited too long, to see you
[x2]
[Verse 2]
Maybe it's for the best
Maybe it's not for anything
It wouldn't be so bad to take this right from me
[Pre-Chorus]
[Chorus]
[Bridge]
How many times I've tried
It's simple to you
So simple to lie
How many times I've tried
Blatant mistakes of your design
[Chorus]
I've had so many chances
Turn my back and ran away
I've had so many chances to see you...
BRING. BACK. POP. PUNK.
It's there but it isn't the same. Too watered down.
Just heard the news about Chad stay strong good luck we are pulling for you for fan as fans I'm saying a little prayer for you right now
I was 3 when this came out. But despite my age, I love these golden songs.
When I’m down about the world I put this on and go back to a simpler time of skateboarding ,surfing and the vans warped tour ever year.
100 percent. Thank you for the nostalgia.
If you're a pop punk lover like me, I'd really appreciate it if you could check out my bands new demo! Pop Punk from the Uk. Much love 🤘🏻💀 ruclips.net/video/lxdWngfS7XU/видео.html
Brings me back! I forgot how much I still love this song
I was a teenager when this came out. And yes, I had amazing high-school years.
And now you’re all alone.
@@AllenCarrol-uq8sc ur mum and sister are with me, your gf could be too but you never had any who didn't cheat on u with your friends.
Beat Pop Punk band ever. Every song is a hit
