Zo populair als de Madchester scene in het Verenigd koninkrijk ook was, hier in Nederland liep men er nauwelijks warm voor. Geen van de twee in Nederland uitgebrachte singles haalden de Top 40 en bleven dus steken in de Tipparade. Een derde single "Kinky Afro" werd hier niet eens uitgebracht. Happy Mondays ging in 1993 uit elkaar, sindsdien zijn er verschillende reünie-opredens geweest.
