Having pulled off a death-defying escape from Tweedy’s farm, Ginger has finally found her dream - a peaceful island sanctuary for the whole flock, far from the dangers of the human world. When she and Rocky hatch a little girl called Molly, Ginger’s happy ending seems complete. But back on the mainland the whole of chicken-kind faces a new and terrible threat. For Ginger and her team, even if it means putting their own hard-won freedom at risk - this time, they’re breaking in!

The first film was my childhood! The fact that a sequel is happening after 23 years is wonderful! 😄
Init waited 2 more and now it defo this is the 1 not the others defo this 1 looking at this now is a blast from the past 2 when the 1st movie came out I’d say it’s nostalgia at its finest
Shame literally none of the original actors were asked to come back apart from maybe two.
It’s all wonderful until you realize Julia and Mel won’t be featured and we instead get two voice actors that sound nothing like them.

@@trevorsheehan1757well if your only experience of life outside of your new home is being kept in what was essentially a WW2 prisoner of war camp where a malicious woman who beheaded your friends on the regular and tried to behead you tormented you daily then tried to cook you alive into a pie, I don’t think you’d be wanting to leave home anytime soon
Headcannon: Won’t be surprised if Ginger and the others (even Rocky) have PTSD from their horrible experiences at Tweedy’s farm

@@nikolascecil6352I wish that could happen but the actor, Peter Sallis, who voiced Wallace, retired in 2010 and in 2017 he passed away. Hopefully there might be a new voice actor for Wallace in Wallace and Gromit.

I just love these characters so much. I'm especially glad to see Fowler again. I wanted a sequel as a kid so badly! It's just a shame there will always a tinge of sadness around this sequel for me, because it really can't be overstated how much of Ginger IS her voice in that original film.
(I think Rocky's recasting is perfect, though. It's so beautiful to see him and Ginger with a daughter!)
I still remember having my video cassette of this back in 2001. Loved it as a kid. This one looks good. Can't believe I've had to wait over 20 years for this.

This looks super awesome so far! Honestly, I do wish this gets released in theaters, it definitely feels like a movie that’s best fit for theaters imo.

I haven't been to a theater since Sonic in 2019, but I'd be willing to go in to see this one. I loved the original and nothing else has looked good to me for years.

That could be because Fowler is voiced by David Bradley in this film since the guy named Benjamin Whitrow who voiced Fowler in the first film sadly died in 2017!

I'm also preparing myself for the mountain of Chicken Run (and hopefully Tangled/Tangled the Series with protective/parental Eugene Fitzherbert) fanfiction that's going to be coming our way in the weeks after the film is official released. This act of revenge is called “The Dawn of the Nugget”.
Alright AI, your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to put Mel Gibson's voice back into Rocky.

Did you see the way Molly bit Mrs. Tweedy!?!? The Mrs. Tweedy!?!?! She must have been pissed that Mrs. Tweedy caused her mother so much pain and killed Edwina in cold blood.
I enjoyed this sequel a lot, it was technically and storywise very ambitious and rewarding.
Very rarely nowadays you can reminisce a watching experience and be able to choose several of your entire favorite scenes, not just individual fractioned moments or separate jokes of a film you liked. But this film has an excellent and well-thought-out structure and gives the scenes time to last as long as they need to, its characters to breathe. It was so delightful.
