    Jeremy is back in Ohio for the summer season while George is in Florida
    When Jeremy went to check on the peacocks, he found one outside of the bird aviary
    By himself, he had to keep all the birds from escaping
    BUT how are they getting out
    Watch to the END to see what happens!

    One thing you don’t have to worry about getting from a possum is rabies. They don’t get it and they don’t carry it. The snarl and showing the teeth is about the only defense they have. They aren’t very fast and the babies are carried on mama’s back. They are very beneficial and eat tons of ticks, like the one crawling on its head. I lived in a town in Oregon where a guy had a pet possum named Floyd and it wore a little leather motorcycle jacket. He just kind of hung on to the guy and if you asked him what Floyd did he’d tell you this was about all he did.😂

    You need to use metal chain link fence on the bottom instead sting netting that way critters can't chew through it.

  • @jamesmarr349
    @jamesmarr349 Месяц назад +11

    Why didn't you enclose the aviary with metal mesh wire rather than nylon? It just doesn't make sense. Unless you do that, you won't ever be able to stop all the vermin from attacking your birds. Maybe penny mesh should be added to keep smaller critters out, like rats. There should be a glass/perspex border around one yard/meter high around the aviary to keep out snakes. Rats can burrow below the earth, so there should be concrete/a metal plate at least one yard/meter deep below the ground level. Furthermore, an electric fence can be placed at the top of the perspex/glass to keep rats and snakes out.

    That 'spider' looks like a tick. I think you would be wise to put chicken wire around the bottom of the netting

  • @christineromannoodles9616
    @christineromannoodles9616 Месяц назад +43

    Do you think you should double the fencing??

  • @barbaralennon321
    @barbaralennon321 Месяц назад +9

    You need hard wire fencing at the bottom to keep critters out. They will just chew through again if it is just netting.

  • @warrathblacktiger5566
    @warrathblacktiger5566 Месяц назад +7

    That's tick on his face not spider
    As for patch job nice but better get you some chicken wire dig down bit nail it to that wood runner and ties on top and every so often in middle and some rebar to stiffen up every say 4ft or so it keep them from pulling it over and bend
    Because they will be back and go threw that nylon fencing again and again the chicken wire will make them stop

Pepper has gotten so big. She's absolutely adorable . Great job Patience and Christian.The baby ducks are soooo cute. I can't wait to get mine! 😊 Still keeping y'all in my thoughts and prayers.Not telling you what to do. but id like to suggest maybe placing chicken wire or some other type of metal reinforcement of about 3 feet high from bottom of the aviary. Just as a precaution for better security .Lots of respect and love from Fort Smith Arkansas ❤❤❤❤
