Traditional Burning - Biraban

Indigenous fire practitioner Victor Steffensen conducted a traditional cultural burn on land managed by Biraban Aboriginal Land Council - a practice that has not been seen in the Hunter for hundreds of years.

As an RFS member, we must work with indigenous land councils. I personally would be honored and excited to learn and implement the traditional ways of land management.

I've written to my local MPs telling them about all these resources Victor Steffensen is involved with. If we all did that it would put them under pressure to support this training.
