So happy, because nobody else taught me what to do with the top crown, which was messing it up, so I’d given up for a couple of years until I came across your video. ///. Thank You! I’ve watched over a dozen of these silk wrap videos and you’re the only one to provide a solution for the top section not getting clumped up! Will try tonight and post back on how it goes!

    Us curly/afro haired folks in America always do this after we would get relaxers to straighten the hair. We do it a little differently but we just wrap all of our hair around like you did but with a brush and we don't use the bobby pins.
    It's funny I never knew other people did it too people are all so similar.
    It'll be pointless for me to wrap my hair now that I wear it in a big afro but I still love all your videos.
    And girl as always you look amazing (and you look really good in yellow!)

    Hey! After I saw your last hair vid, I did some research myself. I found that if you do ten pumps of conditioner, and mix it with about two tablespoons of apple cider vinegar then use it as a hair mask, it softens the hair soooo much. I left it on for 15 minutes and then completely washed it out with just water. I did shampoo with a watered down shampoo afterwards to get rid of any smell. It left my hair straight, shiny, and tangle free. I hope you try this method out and enjoy it!

    My hair is curly/wavy and thick it works well for my hair it became straighter/wavy this is easy. It is a lot faster than straighten my hair for me. With thick curly hair that is a bit damaged and takes too long to straighten my hair, this is a lifesaver. I can just wake up with nice hair thank you for sharing this it has saved me so much time, and it has helped my hair because now I don't straighten it I just use the straighten hair wrap. You have to make it for both sides both ways. Dividing your hair into two sections, roll all the hair to one side and cover it for more than 3 hours and then fold it over to the other side for overnight sleep and then unwrap it in the morning for a sleek soft straight hair. I recommend this technique and you'll love it more than the straightener. I promise you great results. Also for thick hair girls like me. But it has to be 100% wet

    In my country(i'm from Puerto Rico) this technic is called "dubi" and like you said its help to keep the hair straight. I would recommend to change the position for the same hours. For example, if you rotate the hair to your right and leave it for 3 hours, rotate your hair to your left and leave it the same time. The results will be amazing trust me, it maintains your hair straight without little waves on the other side. New fan here, much love.

    i have very fine, frizzy hair and i had a bunch if the same issues that you did. i cut off all of my dead ends, started to follow the cgm, found the right products for me, and i couldnt be more in love with my waves. you should try it for at least a month girl, you hair will definitely need a transition period and wont instantly look good. for you i would recommend the blue “not your mothers naturals” mouse. i cant remember what its called- i think it has kale in it- but it smells fantastic, is very lightweight, and i still feel like i can touch my hair after using it. i put it in directly after showering(before using a towel or anything). i will apply an oil first to my soaking wet hair because this product doesn’t have any moisture in it and my hair needs a lot of moisture and then scrunch the mousse into my hair while simultaneously squeezing the water out. then i scrunch my hair with a micro fiber towel and wrap it up in the same towel, do my skin routine, makeup, get ready for the day,ect. when im done i will take it down and scrunch it one last time with a tiny bit more product. i think u should try! it could work perfectly for you as im pretty sure we have the same hair type/texture

    im pretty sure your hair isn't just frizzy, it's wavy and you're probably just not taking care of it properly. it doesnt look curly but i think it might be 2a/2b. my sister's hair is exactly like this and she thought it was straight but its actually wavy.

      @@MixedKidd yeah plus her hair has this little wave in the middle which is a HUGE sign and in her hair styling routine you can see how her hair isn't completely straight. so she definitely has flat iron looking waves and just doesnt know.

      what is a 2a/2b?? My hair has always been straight since i was a kid unless it goes curly at a certain age. it only gets frizzy waves around the back of my head, but straight at the top and bottom. it's been getting me down for years now. i will look into the curly girl method but i feel ive tried everything, i dont think my hair is curly and my hair type is just difficult :/ x

    • @MixedKidd
      @MixedKidd 5 лет назад +2

      Isabella Demarko look up 2a/2b curly hair routine, its just being straighten out you need to encourage the curl! Hope that helps

    • @nancy7258
      @nancy7258 5 лет назад +11

      @@IsabellaDemarko your hair type can change lol. the reason why it might not be that noticable is because your hair is just slightly wavy and not full blown curly (you should probably look it up on google to get an idea of what it might look like since you dont know what 2a/2b is like), and brushing it and doing all this stuff to change it's natural texture will damage it and cause breakage so it's better to stop doing all these extra steps and go with a normal wash & style routine. you dont really have to use a lot of products either, just wash your hair normally then put in one or two styling products, diffuse or air dry and that's it.

    girl if you took proper care for wavy hair you would have beautiful waves! i used to have the same thing where half of my hair was straight and half of it was wavy(i also had some curls bcs my hair is more curly than yours) and it was a frizzy mess, but now it just nice waves in all places! i think you should try my advice, because its also much easier to work with that kind of hair and straighten it. my trick to make it look good is to put it in a low ponytail after washing it when its wet and use a natural hairbrush on the roots to make your wet hair sit flat on your head, then let it dry on its own. it leaves you with straight hair up to the place of the ponytail and beachy waves after the ponytail:)

    • @IsabellaDemarko
      @IsabellaDemarko  5 лет назад +4

      i will try it but i can tell you now, my hair isn't wavy, just frizzy waves at the nape of my neck, then frizzy straight the rest of the way down and on the top, and i hate the way it looks. if i were to put a hair tie in my hair while wet it would leave one huge kink in my hair without a doubt. This is why i cannot wear ponytails. I don't think this would work for me x

    Love that. Need to try. I'm experimenting with just crisscrossing ALL the hair at the nape/back of the head and then pinning from there, drying it a bit in a microfiber towel turbi turban, and then just covering my hair, pins in, with a bonnet and sleeping in it. I did it with hair mostly dry and it had curled up already, but it stretched the curls very well, and I had very little frizz (I used Bed Head after party smoothing lotion on it before wrapping).

    This method is very famous in the Middle East, it had been passed from generation to generation for I don't know how long.
    Most of the society has wavy hair, straight hair is very common but not as wavy hair, curly hair is not common but not rare either.
    I was taught this method when I was five years old, I had almost straight hair with some wave at the ends, now I have 3a to 3b beautiful curly hair.
    The method gives me great results, but I rarely do it, because I love my curly hair, and have embraced it since I had it, around puberty, and because It's so much work.
    I just love how this method got popular around the world over the years.

Instead of a silk garment though, we use a simple hair net with an elastic and a brush. So many people do it that women go out in it and run errands with them on. I've seen all hair types do it, with different levels of thickness too.
