Trigger: "Alexa, time for bed"
1. Light - On, Green, Brightness 50%
2. Alexa says "Time for bed. You have 15 minutes"
3. Wait 5 minutes
4. Light - Yellow
5. Alexa says "10 minutes left until bedtime"
6.Wait 5 minutes
7, Light - Red
8. Alexa says "Only 5 minutes left until bedtime"
9. Wait 4 minutes
10. Alexa says "1 minute left kids! It's time for bed"
11. SFX: Bells
12. Light - White, 20%
13. Alexa says "15 minutes are now over. Goodnight kids"

We have long resisted getting an Echo. Never really saw a need. ruclips.net/user/postUgkxhB5YOMNj04GuoAosExygP4cH-dKeb4aB When we recently completed some remodeling in our home, we realized we had failed to add a switch to turn on a certain lamp across the room. We couldn't run new wiring (which would have been expensive if we could), so we got our first Echo which completely solved our problem for about $40 (Echo Dot and smart plug). We just ask Alexa to turn on/off that light. Heartily recommend it to solve this kind of conundrum!

OMG I had no idea how to hang that Echo Dot case with a Dot in it until I saw how you plugged it into a wall outlet. It was not readily apparently. I was like, how am I going to screw this thing into a wall...
Looking forward to the philips hue outdoor lights. Im very much in the ecosystem for hue but I haven't yet tried anything outdoors.

Hey dude love the videos, do you need a hub when just using Alexa and Alexa compatible bulbs, LED’s etc?
Well that depends on what you want to use. Hubbed devices are generally more reliable. Certain bulbs like Govee ones will connect via Wi-Fi, bulbs like Hue, or smart light switches like Lutron will need a hub.

HOW DO YOU WAKE UP SO EASY MY FRIEND! I blast my phones speaker at full volume with an alarm right by my face and have my lights turn on and I still cannot wake up! Any tips?

Hey pls help..my alexa is great but it doesn't completes full sentences..it speaks for a while and stops wt should i do..pls helpp..is it cause of slow internet? I don't hav wifi router i connect it from my phone's hotspot..

Hi, the problem I have is: I set up a night routine including Play music for 45 minutes with the timer but the music stop after 15 minutes I talk to Customer help on Alexa, watch videos, and on and on . Never find any Help or Solution, do you have an Idea? Thank you.

You can use the smart things button but it may not work with scenes and you NEED a SmartThings hub

Jokes on you, mine activates with ECHO.
Telling people this is "easy" is pretty misleading. My whole house Alexa controlled, but it's taken all my considerable geek skills to get it working, and routinely requires troubleshooting. Just learning the apps all these devices use to connect to Alexa would be beyond most non-techies, not to mention the "Skills" that bridge Alexa with the apps. I've kept pages of notes for when I ever have to set it up again from scratch, and I'm putting off buying a new phone because it's going to be a lot of work.
